Residential streets play an important role not only as a Place for moving but also as a place for social interactions among urban residents. Social interactions among urban residents are critical factor to draw sense of confidence and communality, and community spirit from the residents. Social interactions among community residents, however, are getting restricted severely by automobile traffic in the residential area. This study shows that the level of social interactions among the residents decreases substantially as traffic volume increases in the area. Other daily activities such as relaxing. playing with children, exercising, and doing small works in the street which can caused social interactions among the residents are also decreased as the volume of automobile traffic increases. Residents living in the area of heavier traffic volume perceive more strongly that automobile traffic is the major reason which deters them from interacting socially each other.

Against the backdrop of low-carbon, green growth, many attention is focused on a sustainable society where humans and nature coexist. Carbon emissions increase with energy consumption, which is 40 percent of the world's energy consumption by buildings. Korea has a plan to make zero-energy houses mandatory only for new buildings in 2025, but it is relying on private technology investment for its technology. The reality is that the current technology costs more than 1.5 times more than general buildings, and private companies do not have many zero-energy house complexes other than experimental houses. This study aims to study the new model of zero energy house by introducing IOT system that efficiently observes and controls energy in zero energy house, monitoring pleasant environment on the web and introducing resident proper temperature maintenance system.

It is common description that modern society is In the era of limitless competition. In order to challenge the change of economy and its management at home and abroad, organization should be changed anew, and in this case, there accompanies conflict or trouble whether the subject of change wants it or not. Therefore, according to change, we should concern with settlement of small troubles as well as big ones, and by managing the conflict or trouble productively and originally, it should be utilized as new fatality and chance to develop something in organization. In the system organized by people, there exist various conflicts in accordance with the target and want of the system, therefore giving no freedom to each Individual member of the system, and this is an unavoidable tate in consideration of the modem society where the survival of mankind and human systems should be guaranteed. Therefore, it determines the coordinates of success of any of organizations to manage conflict or trouble well, and so, when decreasing or increasing conflicts so that the organization exerts its full influence, it is note worthy that conflict itself should be rationally and efficiently managed. In a view point of the theory of organization and its behavior, relating job satisfaction with the performance and validity of organization, the influence of individual conflict is so great on the rate of job transfer within an organization or nonattendance, even on the productivity of the organization. So, the manager to cope with conflict within an organization should devise following three plans to manage conflict for job satisfaction and conflict settlement. In conclusion, it is suggested that in order to manage conflict within an organization well, some plans to control conflict should be well utilized while giving more efforts to improving management of individual conflict, job satisfaction, validity of organization, productivity, etc and all the members of organization should remember that the Issue of conflict within an organization be recognized ad an opportunity of new development and a way to settle a trouble within an organization, and a direction of conflict management should be suggested so that new innovation ca be created.

The environmental characteristics, absorption rate of NO$_2$, physiological response, and quality of lettuces were examined in a semi-closed plant production system consisted of human and plant modules. Leaf lettuces were transplanted to 10-cm diameter pots at 4-to 5-leaf stage, and grown in a gas-fumigated plant module. Air containing NO$_2$was circulated 10 min-ON/ 20 min-OFF between the human and plant modules by a diaphragm. At 0.13, 0.30, and 0.45 $\mu$mol.mol$^{-1}$ NO$_2$, NO$_2$ decrements in the chamber during the 10 min were 0.040, 0.109, and 0.149 $\mu$mol.mol$^{-1}$ , respectively. The NO$_2$absorption rate of the plants was estimated to be 0.078 $\mu$mol.mol$^{-1}$ .m$^{-2}$ .min$^{-1}$ at 0.45 $\mu$mol.mol$^{-1}$ NO$_2$ was less than that of the control plant at 4th and 5th days, whereas the respiration rate was the same. The lettuce grown at 0.45 $\mu$mol.mol$^{-1}$ NO$_2$ had similar leaf length, leaf area, dry and fresh weights, and quality to that grown without NO$_2$.

This paper showed how to apply BIM technology to customized interior design process(CIDP) in order to reduce the heavy workload of stakeholders who are involved in the customized house project. Recently the customers wanted their living space to make a different from others in the field of interior design in particular, therefore, this dissertation focused on the process of the determination of the interior plan through the communication between clients and workers. This thesis indicated the interior design process with IDEF${\emptyset}$ in order to show how many kinds of information workers and expected residents made and shared in the each step of CIDP. BIM in the customized interior design procss is useful to correct drawing errors, help customers' decision-making by showing the 3D model for their own house and decrease the heavy workload of workers concerned by using BIM estimating system.

The problem for the air pollution in the office or the indoor except a specific working area is the continuously issue since the human beings have lived in the dwelling facilities. Measures for that problem are urgently needed. It's possible to solve for the freshair of outside with enough ventilation but that is the awkward situation to be managed by person. It's feasible to supervison and control easily if you use to sensor network under the network. It works out to sense, storage, process, deliver every kind of appliances and environmental information from the stucktags and sensors. And it is possible to utilize to measure and monitor about the place of environmental pollution which is difficult for human to install. It's studied constantly since it be able to compose easily more subminiature, low-power, low-cost than previous one. And also it spotlights an important field of study, graft the green IT and IT of which the environment and IT unite stragically onto the Network. This study compose a IAQM(Indoor Air Quality Management) under the network, suggest the application of supervision and control.

Humans are influenced by economic factors, physical environment factors, social and environmental factors, influenced by the media. In particular, the occurrence of the crime for fear of crime due to the human activities of the area has reduced. Fear of crime inflienced by direct victim of a crime, disorder of the surrounding environment, and indirect victims of crime. Therefore, in order to reduce their fears about crime in the private security through crime prevention and. About the factors affecting their fears about crime in the actual selection of the private security and private security activities in order to solve these problems through crime prevention, through this study will be described. In this study, we randomly select the survey was in August 2011, as detached house in Seoul and Daegu. As a result, the fear of crime fears about crime were influenced directly or indirectly by factors of private security selection.

Recently, with the excessive uses of Internet, virtual spaces for the on-line introduced VRML are emerging. The inhabited virtual world includes a complex process and human experiences. The VR interactivity is now being examined, and it is the important aspect for creating VR application which may include navigating the virtual world, turning features on and off, and interacting with other users. Therefore, the study of this field is favored with a competitive advantage to the present and future multimedia designer. Thus, the subject of this thesis is for the design of virtual world, focusing on interactivity. The contents include the types of the VR interactivity, and their classifying and studying, according to the existing theories based on the literature and web sites. The types are for the user navigation, for the user interactions with other users and objects, and for the creation of metaphors. As the results of this study, it is suggested the effective application and the proposal.

The study evaluates exploration of social robot's role which can emotionally communicate with human as an alternative to heal psychological isolation for single-person households. At first, I conduct a study on literatured to understand the definition and characteristics of social robot then analyze the current situation and future prospects. Based on this, I organized the requirements of social robot in aspect of user experience through in-depth interview of twenties single-person households living in the metropolitan area who could be potential customers. As a result every subject require social robot specialized to them through accumulated interaction. On the other hand, degree of attachment with social robot is different from subjects. Hear by I realize every subject require social robot to different and various functions according to their lifestyle and personality. Therefore I could draw conclusions and implications from this study that technical development in aspect of personalized user experience is necessary for social robot to settle in to human's life in the future.

This study investigates the satisfaction of the culinary students during their studies in Rhode Island State (R1) in the United States. This research will prepare and give guidance to those who wish to study abroad. For this research, interviews and surveys were conducted and along with total of 68 copies of questionnaire were collected from to the Korean culinary students in the RI from Sep. 2007 to Mar. 2008. The analysis of the data was based on a Likert scale. Findings showed that most students chose to study abroad in their major felt satisfied with their school facilities. The research also indicated that where few challenges, such as language barrier and cultural differences. The inconveniences were with language problems and progress gradually into cultural challenges. In this respect, culinary students need to have more linguistic preparation and as well as to learn the importance of multiculturalism and globalization. Successful study abroad requires both personal and academic preparation. Teacher and parents should give supports and provide the fundamental skills that the students need to have a productive experience.
