A Study on the Design of an Acoustic Actuator Based on the Singing Mechanism of Cicadas (매미의 발음 기제를 모사한 음향 발생 장치의 설계에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 매미가 소형이면서도 광대역의 소리를 낼 수 있는 원리가 무엇인지를 파악하고 이중 음향 발생 장치 제작에 적용할 수 있는 요소를 도출하였다. 매미의 발음기관에서 가장 중요한 부분은 복부 공명실과 진동판이다. 복부 공명실은 위상 반전형 인클로져 시스템으로 모델링 할 수 있으며, 진동판은 돔 형태의 박판으로 볼 수 있다. 근육에서 발생된 입력 신호는 진동판의 곡면에 의해 판에 좌굴을 일으켜 높은 음압의 소리를 발생시킨다. 발생된 소리는 복부를 통해 위상이 반전되어 특정 대역이 강조된다. 진동판의 가장 큰 특징은 곡면구조에 의한 비선형적인 출력이며 이를 통하여 가진 주파수와 상이한 주파수 성분들을 효과적으로 발생시키게 된다. 이러한 구조를 음향 발생장치로 활용하기 위하여 단순한 곡면판의 기하학적 파라미터 변화에 따른 출력 변화 경향을 관찰 하였으며, 이러한 원리를 활용한 음향 발생장치를 구성하였다.

  • 최근 효과적인 정보 전달을 위해 다양한 매체가 사용되고 있다. 이중 LED 기반의 전광판은 상업적 광고를 효율적으로 보여주는 대표적인 정보 전달 및 광고 매체 중 하나이다. 이와 같은 LED기반의 전광판은 옥외에 부착되는 경우가 많아 표시할 문구를 수정하거나 갱신하는데 어려움이 있을 수 있다. 이와 같은 문제점을 개선하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 LED 기반 전광판의 보다 손쉬운 사용을 위해 스마트 폰 애플리케이션을 이용하여 간편하게 문구를 편집하고, LED에 표출되는 효과를 설정할 수 있는 스마트 전광판을 설계하고 구현하였다. 구현된 프로토타입을 통해 제안된 스마트 전광판의 효율성과 실효성을 검증하였다.

  • 연료전지 스택을 구성하는 핵심 부품 중 하나인 분리판(Bipolar plate)은 반응 연료인 수소와 산소를 분리하여 셀(cell)의 전면적에 균일하게 분배, 공급, 배기 및 전기화학반응에 의해 생성된 전류를 수집하며, 높은 가스밀폐성, 전기전도성 및 내식성이 요구된다. 분리판 소재로는 흑연, 고분자-탄소 복합체 및 금속 등이 사용되고 있으며, 이중 연료전지 스택의 부피, 무게 및 제조비용 감소를 위하여 금속분리판이 주목받고 있다. 그러나 금속분리판의 경우 연료전지 작동환경에서 부식반응에 의한 이온 용출로 인해 전극촉매나 고분자전해질막의 오염을 유발할 수 있다는 단점이 있어 최근 금속계 분리판의 코팅을 통하여 분리판의 내식특성 및 전기적 특성을 향상시키는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다.

Effect of Lumbar Mobilization Combined with Dual Task Training on Balance in Patients with Chronic Stroke (이중과제훈련을 결합한 허리 관절가동술이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 균형에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of lumbar mobilization combined with dual task training on balance ability in patients with chronic stroke. In this study, 30 adults who were diagnosed with a stroke were divided into 15 groups, each with a dual task training group, a dual task training group applying joint mobilization to the lumbar from July 1, 2019 to August 31, 2019, it was held for 30 minutes a day for two months, three times a week for a total of eight weeks. The clinical balance evaluation index was measured by K-BBS, and the surface area, step length and average speed were measured using Bioresque. In K-BBS, scores were increased in all groups, and the balance ability was increased in the surface area, step length and average speed using Bioresque. Therefore, the combination of dual task training for the lumbar was thought to have an effect on increasing the balance ability of chronic stroke patients.

  • This paper provides a comparison between finite element analysis results and test data of rupture disc. Rupture disc is safety device of high pressure equipment. Rupture disc of solid rocket motor is a device to control rupture pressure. Rupture discs were made of AISI 316L. By the elastic-plastic analysis, the stress limit of rupture discs were compared to the test results. The results can be used to control the rupture pressure by the change of the disc size.

  • Many of the liquid rocket engines use a hypergolic igniter with rupture disc ends located in the combustion chamber ignition line. In this study, the flow coefficient tests of the igniter, which have a solenoid valve upstream, were performed. The tension-type rupture discs for radial and circumferential scores and the igniter with them were tested using water at room temperature. The effects of the score, flow rate, the disc thickness, gas pocket and the solenoid valve on the coefficient were analyzed.

  • In this present study, a response modification factor for a lightweight steel panel-modular system which is not clarified in a current building code was proposed. As a component of the response modification factor, an over-strength factor and a ductility factor were drawn from the nonlinear static analysis curves of the systems modeled on the basis of the performance tests. The final response modification factor was then computed by modifying the previous response modification factor with a MDOF (Multi-Degree-Of-Freedom) base shear modification factor considering the MDOF dynamic behaviors. As a result of computation for the structures designed as a dual frame system, ranging from 2-story to 5-story, the value of 4 was estimated as a final response modification factor for a seismic design, considering the value of 5 as an upper limit of the number of stories.

  • This paper presents the study results on a dual band feed horn for the focused reflector. A coaxial waveguide structure is attractive to avoid blockage from the feeder. The inner conductor as a hollow waveguide is designed to excite TE11 of a circular waveguide for high frequency. For low frequency, the design of the outer coaxial waveguide that propagates coaxial TE11 and prevents fundamental TEM is presented. The horn size for generation of these modes results in the degradation of performance. The return loss is improved by a capacitive iris and an inductive iris The enhanced pattern symmetry by dual mode is presented. The horn design in this paper are verified through the test.

  • The activity of an antimicrobial peptide, magainin 2, on lipid membranes was investigated using solid-state NMR and a new sampling method that employed mechanically aligned bilayers between thin glass plates. The experiments were performed at two hydration levels. At 95% hydration about 15% of the lipid bilayers were disrupted and at full hydration 20% were disrupted. From the comparison of two equilibrium states established by two sampling methods the importance of peptide binding to the lipid bilayer for whole membrane disruption was demonstrated.

  • This paper was to discuss the case and cause of debonding defect of wood floor board in apartment house by investigating actual survey. Most frequent defect in wood floor board was debonding of floor board. Scratch, gap and crack of floor board were also found in floor board installment work. Causes of debonding of floor board is shrinkage of cement mortar beneath floor board and expansion of floor board. Haste in floor board work did not provide enough time to dry cement mortar fully, which led to continue to dry after the installment of floor board. It caused moisture movement toward wood floor board. Accordingly, Before floor board work, careful consideration on moisture condition of cement mortar and enough curing time to eliminate the effect of moisture are taken into.
