Multipath Routing Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks Using Dual Channel Routers (이중 채널 라우터를 사용하는 무선 센서네트워크를 위한 다중경로 라우팅 알고리즘)

  • In case of wireless sensor networks being applied to a target environment having continuous data transfer, high-speed data transmission and processing is necessary to meet increased bandwidth needs. This paper proposes a novel multipath routing algorithm to increase the bandwidth of continuous data stream for the wireless sensor network using dual channel routers. We evaluate performance of the proposed algorithm in the wireless sensor network using the dual channel touter based on ZigBee protocol. According to the experimental evaluation, the proposed algorithm showed outstanding performance enhancement with the bandwidth of 150kbps, which is about twice of existing single channel router.

  • Because of the inherent uncertainties caused by the manufacturing process variations, future loading conditions, and incomplete damage models, the lifetimes of mechanical structures under field conditions are significantly different from the results obtained in the laboratories. In this study, a dual sensor was developed to prognosticate the fatigue failure of structures under these uncertain conditions, and its effectiveness was demonstrated on a rectangular columnar structure under repeated uni-axial loading. The dual sensor is a slightly weaker structure embedded in the target structure, so that failure occurs in the sensor earlier than in the target structure. From the signal differences in the strain gauges in the embedded dual sensor, it is possible to differentiate between the normal status and warning status, even under variable loads.

  • 이 논문에서는 기존의 FBG 광센서와는 달리 이중파장 구조를 갖는 FBG 센서를 제안하여 기 존의 FBG 센서가 측정할 수 있는 범위를 획기적 으로 증대시킴을 보이고자 한다. 고해상도의 광범 위한 지역 측정은 두 가지의 광대역 광원을 이용 하는 매트릭스 구조의 FBG를 이용해 구성하였으며, 두 광원을 사용하는 통합시스템은 도파로 열격자(AWG)로 구성되어 있다.

Measurement Feasibility Assessment of Coating Film Thickness using Dual Sensor (이중센서를 이용한 코팅막 두께 측정 가능성 평가)

  • A technical performance of the coating depends greatly on the thickness of painting film or coating film. Therefore the confirmed report of the technique to measure accurately is essential to the coating film thickness for the assessment about a coating quality performance. In this paper, two gap sensors - eddy current gap sensor and capacitance gap sensor - which has a different operating principle were used to measure the thickness of a nonmagnetic substance coating film such as paint, enamel or ceramic that was coated on the metallic material. A capacitance gap sensor was used to measure the distance between the sensor head and a coating film and an eddy current gap sensor to measure the distance between the sensor head and a base metal. Then the thickness of a coating film was obtained by the difference of two measurement value. At this result, the suggested dual sensor can measure an arbitrary film thickness to be coated on a base metal as the measurement value of coating thickness exists accurately within the 2% error.

  • A double rotation C-scanning system and a software program Under-Sodium MultiVIEW have been developed for the under-sodium viewing of a reactor core and in-vessel structures of a sodium-cooled fast reactor KALIMER-600. Double rotation C-scanning system has been designed and manufactured by the reproduction of double rotation plug of a reactor head in KALIMER-600. Hardware system which consists of a double rotating scanner, ultrasonic waveguide sensors, a high power ultrasonic pulser-receiver, a scanner driving module and a multi channel A/D board have been constructed. The functions of scanner control, image mapping and signal processing of Under-Sodium MultiVIEW program have been implemented by using a LabVIEW graphical programming language. The performance of Under-Sodium MultiVIEW program was verified by a double rotation C-scanning test in water.

  • 최근 모든 산업에 있어서 자동화에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. 모든 자동화는 힘들고 어려운 작업을 기계가 인간을 대신하여 수행하며 품질 및 생산성을 향상시킨다는 관점에서 끊임없이 추구되고 있다. 용접 자동화도 그 예외는 아니어서 용접 구조물 제작의 경우, 임의의 용접 경로를 추적하는 방법과 공정 변수의 제어법 등이 현재 연구되고 있다. 특히 용접 공정중 용접선 경로 변화를 측정할 수 있는 센서가 용접 공정의 자동화에 필수적이다. 이러한 센서중에는 아크센서, 시각센서, 초음파센서, 레이저센서가 있으며, 이중 널리 이용되고 있는 것은 팁-모재간의 거리변화에 따른 전류 또는 전압 변화를 모델링하여 위치 정보로 이용하는 아크센서와, 카메라를 이용한 영상 정보를 처리함으로써 토치가 이동해야 항 위치를 찾는 시각센서가 있다.

Sensing Properties of TiO2/ZnO Double-Layer Hollow Fibers Synthesized by Atomic Layer Deposition (원차층증착법으로 제작된 TiO2/ZnO 이중층 중공 나노섬유의 가스 감응 특성)

  • 화학저항식(Chemiresistive) 가스센서의 저항변화를 향상시키기 위해서는 센서 소재의 비표면적을 향상시키는 방향 및 전자천이를 증가시키는 방향으로 연구가 진행되어야 하며, 그 중 센서의 비표면적을 향상시키는 예로써 중공 나노섬유가 있을 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 비표면적의 향상뿐만 아니라 중공 나노섬유의 전자천이를 증가시켜 센서의 검출 성능을 더욱 향상시키기 위한 목적으로 $TiO_2/ZnO$ 이중층 중공 나노섬유를 제안하었다. 제안된 $TiO_2/ZnO$ 이중층 중공 나노섬유는 템플레이트 합성법을 통해 제작되었으며, 그 공정은 다음과 같다; 전기방사(Electrospinning) 공정을 통해 폴리머 나노섬유를 제작한 후 $TiO_2$ 층과 ZnO 층을 ALD(Atomic Layer Deposition) 공정을 통해 차례대로 증착시킨다. 그 후 후열처리 공정을 통해 코어 폴리머를 제거함으로써 $TiO_2/ZnO$ 이중층 중공 나노섬유를 얻을 수 있다. 이 때, ZnO 층의 두께는 각각 달리하여 제작되었으며, 최종적으로 이들에 대한 가스 센싱 특성 및 메커니즘에 대한 체계적인 조사를 진행하였다. 단층 중공나노섬유는 셀 층의 두께가 Debye length와 유사할 때 셀 층 표면이 완전공핍층이 형성되고, 그 보다 크게 되면 부분적인 공핍층이 형성되게 되어 감응도가 감소하게 된다. 그러나 이중층 중공 나노섬유의 경우 셀 층의 두께가 Debye length 보다 더 크게 되더라도 TiO2와 ZnO의 헤테로접합으로 인해 ZnO에서 TiO2로 전자의 이동을 야기시키게 되어 환원성 가스에 대한 감응도가 단층 ZnO 중공 나노섬유에 비해 향상되게 된다.

  • In this paper, a remote submersion warning system based on multi-mode optical fiber(MMF) sensors and a wireless sensor network(WSN) are proposed. To improve the reliability and stability of the sensors, the dual optical fiber sensors combined to the optical coupler are demonstrated. A slave zigbee as a wireless sensor module was used as a platform to monitor and record the signal from the MMF sensors and then transmits these information to a master zigbee wirelessly. The monitoring system running the $LabVIEW^{(R)}$ software was connected to the internet to support the short message service(SMS) through extensible markup language(XML) web service. No matter where the managers are, they can always receive the real-time remote-monitoring data for safety check.

Characterization of Double-layer Optical Sensing Membranes for Dual Sensing of Dissolved Oxygen Concentrations and pH and Their Application to the On-line Monitoring of Fermentation Processes (용존산소농도와 pH의 동시 검출용 이중층 광학 센서막의 특성 및 발효공정의 온라인 모니터링에의 응용)

  • A double-layer optical sensing membrane has been fabricated to measure the concentration of dissolved oxygen (DO) and pH value simultaneously. (tris(4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (Rudpp) ruthenium(II)) as a DO sensitive dye has been mixed in the methyl trimethoxy silane (MTMS) sol-gel solution and coated onto one well in a 24-well microtiter plate. On the DO-sensing layer the GA (3-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxy silane (GPTMS), 3-aminopropyl trimethoxy silane (APTMS)) sol-gel solution mixed with 8-hydroxypyrene-1,3,6-trisulfonic acid trisodium salt (HPTS) has been coated and used to measure pH values. The double-layer sensing membrane was affected by ionic strength and temperature. The double-layer sensing membrane for DO and pH has been applied to online monitor in microorganism cultivation processes and showed a good performance.
