Using panel data from the Korean Labor and Income Panel Study(KLlPS), we examine the wage differentials between standard and Don-standard workers. To control for unobserved individual heterogeneities, we estimate the fixed effect models. Our results show that the OLS estimates are upwardly biased. We also find that labor unions and firm size are important determinants of the wage differentials.

Using a establishment-worker matched data, this paper estimates wage differentials between standard and non-standard workers. Unlike previous studies, we estimate a fixed-effect model for the tree-way error-components that control for both unobserved individual heterogeneities and unobserved firm heterogeneities. The estimation results show that standard workers earn 6.5~8.4% mire than non-standard workers. This wage premium is 30~40% of the wage differential estimated from the OLS model. The results implies that a large proportion of the wage differentials between standard and non standard workers can be explained by unobserved firm and individual characteristics.

This paper examines the tradition discourses in Korean modern drama of the late 19th and the early 20th. It focuses particularly on how key intellectuals differentiated the definition and interpreted 'Theater-Improvement' while they insisted on improving traditional performance. Tradition discourse focused on how to improve its contents of performances. There were three categories in discussion. First, Confucian intelligent insisted that traditional performance should be discarded, because it led to customs disorder among the public. Second, patriotic and progressive intellectuals led by Sin Chae-Ho(신채호) and Bak Yen-Sik(박은식), preferred the reformed content of traditional Korean performance dealing with historical heroes. in order to stimulate patriotism in the Korean. Third, Lee In-Jik(이인직) who had worked at a popular newspaper company in Japan tried to make 'New Theater' criticizing decayed officials and the stupid nation. He did not concern about the colonialism of Japan. In the late 19th and the early 20th in Korean modern drama history, tradition discourses faced different directions, dependent on their political positions, familiar foreign cultures, and their view on traditional cultures.

The characteristics and prediction model of the shear strength of unsaturated residual granite soils were studied in this paper. In order to investigate the influence of the net normal stress on the shear strength, unsaturated triaxial tests and SWCC tests were carried out by varying the net normal stress. Experimental data for unsaturated shear strength tests were compared with predicted shear strength envelopes obtained from existing prediction models. It was shown that the soil-water characteristic curve and the shear strength of the unsaturated soil varied with the change of the net normal stress. Therefore, to achieve a truly descriptive shear strength envelope for unsaturated soils, the effect of the normal stress on the contribution of matric suction to the shear strength has to be taken into consideration. In this paper, a modified prediction model f3r the unsaturated shear strength was proposed.

본 논문에서는 H.264 표준화 기구인 Joint Video Team(JVT) 권고안의 정수 단위 화소 움직임 예측을 위한 Unsymmetrical-cross Multi-Hexagon-grid Search(UMHexagonS) 알고리즘에서 Uneven Multi-Hexagon-grid Search(UMHGS) 부분을 개선한 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 이전 프레임의 동일위치 또는 상위 모드에서 이미 선택된 움직임 벡터(MV: Motion Vector)를 이용하여 신호 대 잡음 비(PSNR: Peak Signal to Noise Ratio) 및 평균 비트 율(Average Bitrates)을 유지하면서, 현재 매크로블록의 검색영역을 줄이는 것이 가능하다. 제안하는 알고리즘의 성능은 Full Search Block Matching Algorithm(FSBMA) 및 UMHexagonS 알고리즘의 integer pel 에 대한 SAD(Sum of Absolute Difference) 연산횟수로 비교평가 하였다. 그 결과, FSBMA 에 비하여 평균 97.64%, UMHexagonS 에 비하여는 평균 17.48%의 연산횟수를 감소시키는 우수함을 보였다.

본 논문에서는 정수 단위 화소 움직임 예측(ME: Motion Estimation)을 위한 Unsymmetrical-cross Multi-Hexagon-grid Search (UMHexagonS) 알고리즘을 기반으로, CIF 크기의 영상을 실시간으로 부호화 하기 위한 정수 단위 화소 움직임 예측 모듈을 제안한다. 제안하는 정수 단위 화소 움직임 예측 모듈은 32 개의 1 차원 연산유닛(PE: Processing Element) 배열, 데이터 선택/재배열 유닛, 내부버퍼, 그리고 트리 구조의 덧셈기로 구성되며, CIF 크기의 영상 100 프레임을 부호화 하기 위한 클럭 사이클을 계산하여 실험결과로 제시하였다. 그 결과 제안하는 구조는 400MHz 의 클럭 속도에서 CIF 크기의 영상을 실시간으로 부호화 할 수 있다.

A single-switched series element for series-parallel compensated UPS is proposed. The proposed series element can handle only unidirectional power and the input voltage must be higher than the output voltage. But it is very useful when DC-link voltage is low and isolation transformer is need for output stage since only one active switch is used.

국내 사정상 우리나라는 역사적으로나 지리적으로나 학문분야를 비롯한 법제, 제도 면에서 일본과 밀접한 관련을 맺고 있기 때문에, 일본 축산의 성장과 제도를 고찰해 보면 우리나라의 향후 나아갈 방향과 대책의 수립이 수월하게 연상된다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 이에 따라, 현재도 국내의 축산관련업계의 지도층과 연구 및 행정직에 종사하는 일부 인사들은 우리나라의 실정에서는 EU나 미국의 제도보다는 일본의 관료주의적인 제도나 법이 더 부합된다는 사고방식을 가지고 이를 실행에 옮기고자하는 시도를 하고 있는 것이 현실로서 미국의 시장경제주의적 사고방식을 더 선호하는 축산관련업계에 종사하는 젊은 세대들의 사고방식과의 미래지향적인 이견해소를 위한 중재절차를 필요로 하고 있다.

Mansebo[만세보] contains a total of 111 old shijos under the title of Haedongyeongeon[해동영언]. This dissertation presumes Haedongyeongeon[해동영언] as early 20th century shijo text and surveys its literary characteristic and its significance in relation with anthological compilation. Haedongyeongeon can be seen as both newspaper serials and a short anthology. The basic pattern of the serials shows an organization of 'title. musical designation, author. text. and a brief review. Of these, the review is what most clearly shows the characteristic of the serials. The review is written in Chinese followed by Korean letters to designate the sound of the Chinese. which is presumably designed to attract more readers for the newspaper. On the other hand, Haedongyeongeon[해동영언], when seen as a collection of works printed in serials, clearly shows an intention of compiling an anthology, particularly in its way of overall classification of works or arranging works according to their authors, and thus may well be defined as a short anthology. This anthology somewhat excessively pursues perfection in formality, and is characterized by its strong intent to be read as popular literature, and therefore could be said to manifest the general characteristic of 20th century anthologies. The planner of the serial Haedongyeongeon[해동영언], or the compiler of the anthology is thought to be one of the core figures of Mansebo[만세보], that is, O Sechang[오세창], Lee Injik[이인직], Choi Yeongnyeon[최영년], Shin Gwanghui[신광희], but of them all, considering all circumstances, Choi Yeongnyeon[최영년] is most likely to be the one. Lastly, it is presently unknown what anthology was used as the basis of Haedongyeongeon[해동영언] and accordingly any judgement on that head has been deferred.
