  • This study is an empirical study about the effects of perceived risks and perceived benefits on purchase intention in mobile commerce. Perceived risks and perceived benefits are proposed as mediators that make a significant impact on purchase intention in mobile commerce. Also, this study compared the direct effect of perceived risks, perceived benefits and consumer subjective knowledge to purchase intention. As antecedents of perceived risks and perceived benefits, subjective knowledge, mobile Internet familiarity, credibility for the purchase and provided information level are proposed and verified. Results from this study are as follows: First, the effect of perceived risks to purchase intention is not significant whereas that of perceived benefits is significant. Second, this study revealed that mobile Internet familiarity, credibility for the purchase and information level are significantly related to mobile purchase intention through perceived benefit. Third, subjective knowledge makes a significant impact on purchase intention directly not mediated by perceived risk or perceived benefit. Based on these results, managerial implications for mobile commerce vitalization and marketing strategy are discussed. Finally, limitation for this research and further research issues are suggested.

  • The international competition in refrigerator markets has continuously required the research for sound quality of a refrigerator to improve the quality of a life. In this paper, A new method for evaluation of the sound quality of a refrigerator is developed based on human sensibility engineering by using ANN(artificial neural network). In this paper, the loudness and the sharpness of the refrigerator's signals was used for the input value in ANN's training process because the loudness and the sharpness has a good correlation between the output of the ANN and the target of the individual evaluation In the training process. Two input factor was used repeatedly in the training process to get more optimum weighting value. And then finally we developed the sound quality index of a refrigerator. The developed sound quality index was confirmed by the 96.5 % of correlation between the output of the ANN and the real evaluation. It will be applied to evaluate the sound quality of a refrigerator in the industry.

  • The purpose of this study was to discover the effects that mentoring functions have on a new employee's job satisfaction and turnover intention. The subjects of this study were new employees with less than five years of experience from K company. A regression analysis was performed on the collected data to examine the relationship between different variables. The study showed that out of the three mentoring functions consisting of career development, psycho-social, and role model, only the career development function had any significant effect. When the career development function of mentoring increased, the new employee's job satisfaction also increased while the turnover intention decreased. This data provides a basis for new employee training in the rapidly changing business sectors.

  • Purfose: This study was to observe the phosphamidon reduction rate after haemoperfusion (HP) and Hemodialysis (HD) in vitro. Methods: We started off by measuring the clearance of HD and HP for the phosphamidon in vitro. Phosphamidon was measured hourly by High-pressure liquid chromatography. Results: Phosphamidon clearance was effectiveness in HP and HD. Phosphamidon reduction rate was no difference between HD and HP; $64\%$ versus $91.\%1$ at starting, $82.2\%$ versus $80.2\%$ at 1 hours, $82.2\%$ versus $73.8\%$ at 2 hours, $34.4\%$ versus $14.0\%$ at 3 hours, $14.1\%$ versus $27.4\%$ at 4 hours, $0\%$ versus $3.3\%$ at 5 hours. Conculsion: Extracorporeal elimination of phosphamidon is effective by hemoperfusio and hemodialysis in vitro. We suggest hemoperfusion may be effective in organophsphate intoxication patients.

  • Photostimulated luminescence (PSL) analysis was applied to determine whether some agricultural commodities of Korean and Chinese origins have been irradiated or not. Cereals (brown rice and buckwheat) and legumes (soybean, peanut, fed bean and mung bean) were exposed to gamma irradiation at 0.5 ∼4 kGy The Korean garlic was irradiated at 0.05 ∼0.5 kGy. Cereals and mung bean were tool applicable to the PSL measurement, showing the intermediate values between the lower (700 photon counts, negative) and the upper threshold values (5,000, positive), however PSL values determined for soybean, peanut, red bean and garlic were suitable for being discriminated between nonirradiated and irradiated samples. There was no significant difference in PSL properties accgrding to the sample origins.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the types of perceived risk and the use of information sources respectively in clothing-purchase and ; study the correlations between the two variables and also ; study how the socioeconomic status impacts on the use of information sources. The questionnaires were administered to a sample of 393 housewives living in Seoul. For statistical analysis, the Pearson's product-moment correlation coefficients, analysis of variance, and Neuman-keul's test were used. The results were as follows : 1) There were significant differences in the types of perceived risk, reviewing these by clothing use and fashion Stage. 2) There were significant differences in the use of information sources, reviewing these by clothing use and fashion stage. 3) There were significant correlations between the types of Perceived risk and the use of information sources, reviewing these by clothing use and fashion stage. 4) In each fashion stage, there were partly significant differences in the types of perceived risk, reviewing these by SES. 5) In each fashion stage, there were partly significant differences in the use of information sources, reviewing these by SES.

  • The perceived quality is a concept considered from the consumer's perspective. So it is differ from the objective determination of product quality. Thus the consumer perception of quality is a subjective judgement of an individual and an overall feeling on the characteristics which includes the product's reliability, performance and so on. In terms of product perception, consumers utilize the product cues in evaluating the product's quality before the purchase and the cues reflecting the quality can be classifisied into intrinsic and extrinsic ones. When the quality perception is limited to the purchase situation, purchase decision dependent on surrogate indicators such as price, are inclined to increase due to the lack of information. Therefore in this study the perceived quality of apparel is controled to the purchase situation in order to examine the consumer's reaction to the price cues and for the convenience of the exploratory investigation. As a result of the empirical study, consumers show differences in quality and value perceptions to the product with the same price depending on the perception whether the price is high or low. The apparel quality evaluation process goes through the steps of "product attributes - perceived quality - perceived value - purchase intention".

  • As the fashion phenomenon changes in the direction of respecting individual tastes it needs to make and effort to search individual clothing-wearing motives. In this study the face to face interviews were carried out to 42 people for 4 months from October 1996 to January 1997. By means of the qualitative data analysis their statements were analyzed. 6 groups were classified on the basis of clothing-wearing motives. Generally consumers began to cognize the necessity of clothing and develops it to situational appropriateness psychological comfort impression management distinction desire and finally attention -receiving desire. The levels of clothing-wearing motives were also interpreted as introversion-extroversion theory. These 6 groups were named in consideration of the highest level of their clothing -searing motives They were respectively the least clothing-cognizing group situation-appropriateness cognizing group psychological comfort cognizing group impression management group distinction desire group attention-receiving desire group. The characteristics of each group were represented based on the interview results and the consuming-behavior of each group was compared. finally the interaction of the clothing-wearing motives and the fashion phenomenon was discussed.
