Exudative pleural effusion can arise from pneumonia, tuberculosis, cancer, etc. Early drainage is needed for prevention of complications such as pleural fibrosis, thickening, bronchopleural fistulae and decline of lung function. Intrapleural Instillation of fibrinolytic enzymes has been used for 50years as an adjunct in the removal of fibrous material, hematoma and pus from the thoracic cavity. By the local fibrinolytic effect on fibrinous exudates within the pleural space, fibrinolytic agent has improved results of chest tube or pig tail drainage. But there were no controlled randomized studies, so significant controversy exists concerning the efficacy of this therpy, especially tuberculous pleurisy. Furthermore about complication, severe spontaneous bleeding has not been reported with intrapleural urokinase. Intrapleural fibrinolytic enzymes has shows no systemic complication. When it is administrated intravenously, not into intrpleural space, major bleeding is reported about 1-3% of patient, especially they had systemic disease, such as coagulation abnormalities. This case report presents a patient who suffered major hemothorax induced hypovolemic shock following the administration of 100,000 units of urokinase intrapleurally. He was 25-year old male with tuberculosis pleurisy without systemic illness demonstraion.
The effects of microbial phutase on laying performance and phosphorus utilization were examined at different levels of dietary nonphosphorus(NPP) in 320 23-week-old Hy-line brown hens for 12weeks. Diets were formulated 0.275%(T1), 0.220%(T2), 0.165%(T3) of NPP levels, and supplemental microbial phytase was 300DPU/kg diet constantly. Conventional diet(C) was formulated 0.275% NPP level without microbial phytase. Egg production and egg mass were higher in T2 than the others (p<0.05), and average egg weight was higher in T1 than the other (p<0.05). Egg productivity was tended to increase with supplemental phytase compared to conventional diet. Daily feed intake a hen also increased in T2 (p<0.05). Feed conversion ratio was improved slightly without significant difference. Eggshell breaking strength and thickness were not different significantly among the treatments. Haugh unit and yolk color were also not different. Calcium and phosphorus retention in body increased in T2 (p<0.05), but dry matter and nitrogen retention were not different significantly. Differences in nitrogen and calcium excretions were not found among the treatments. But phosphorus excretion decreased in order of dietary phosphorus levels with supplement phytase compared to C (p<0.05). Tibial ash, calcium and phosphorus were similar among the treatments. In conclusion, supplemental microbial phytase in laying diet may help to utilize phytase phosphorus, and could decrease NPP intake.
To inquire its usefulness of the clinical application of intelligent replenishment system of automatic X-ray film processor based on film density, we processed the serial 300 sheets of radiographic film of chest [$14{\times}14"$, HR-C type] and bone [elbow & ankle($8{\times}10"$), skull($10{\times}12"$), hand & foot($11{\times}14"$), pelvis($14{\times}17"$), HR-G type, 68, 70, 77, 85 sheets respectively]. We analyzed the characteristic corves, relative speeds, average gradients and base plus fog densities every twenty five sheets. We also evaluated the developer and fixer replenishment volumes every that time. In the chest and bone radiograph two all, the characteristic curves were little change, and the relative speeds, average gradients and base plus fog densities were within the maximum control limits. The average developer replenishment volumes were about 43m1/sheet and 39m1/sheet respectively. It brings decreased results about 29% in comparison with the conventional replenishment system. In our experiences, we conclude that the intelligent replenishment system of automatic X-ray film processor based on film density maintains image quality consistently, decreases also the replenishment volumes. Therefore, this system will be resulted in economic and environmental effects, and solve problems of over and low replenishment volume.

Purpose: According as the accessibility about drugs becomes various, the occurrence of drug intoxication is increasing. Since report that doxylamine causes rhabdomyolysis often, drug-induced rhabdomyolysis is one of the most important complications in patients with drug intoxication. Acute renal failure (ARF)'s availability is important to the management in rhabdomyolysis, but report about rhabdomyolysis or ARF occurrence for whole intoxicated drugs is lacking up to now. Methods: This research did to 61 patient who had rhabdomyolysis of drug intoxication. First, object patients were divided into two gruops: doxylamine-ingested (Group I) vs non-doxylamine ingested (Group II). And then we analyzed on the early patient's clinical events and laboratory data. We used ROC curve to recognize'the early clinical factors that could forecast ARF appearance among these patients in addition. Results: Almost rhabdomyolysis was happened by doxylamine in drug intoxication ($55.7\%$). However, as compared to group II, group I showed better clinical course, lesser ARF occurrence and hemodialysis requirement. In group II, time was longer in hospital reaching from intoxication, the ARF occurrence rate was higher ($52.6\%$). Analyzing the ROC curve to useful initial factors, they were creatinine, uric acid and interval time from ingestion to hospital. These cut-off values were 1.44 mg/dL, 6.8 mg/dL and 5 hrs. Sensitivity for ARF estimate was $100\%$, specificity $69-98\%$. Conclusion: Compared to group II, Doxylamine-ingested group showed good clinical course. Creatinine, uric acid, interval time from ingestion to hospital aided in ARF estimate in drug-induced rhabdomyolysis.

Purpose: In recent review of physician suicides] the relative risk of physicians is higher than the general population. The majority of physician suicide were by poisoning. The purpose of this study was to analyse the medical personnels with suicide by poisoning compared with the general population. Methods: We reviewed medical records of 15 medical related personnels with suicide by poisoning who visited the emergency medical centers of St. Mary's and Kangnam St. Mary's hospitals from March 1998 to Aug 2004. For the comparison with general population in analysis] the collected data was acquired from medical records of 677 intoxicated patients in St. Mary's Hospital during the same period. Results: Fifteen suicides of physicians (n=7), nurses (n=4), medical students (n=2), pharmacist (n=1) and medical assistant technician (n=1) was evaluated with regard to the method of poisoning. Preferred methods were ingestion of medications orally ($54\%$) and by infusion/injection ($46\%$). The results were compared with the general population group (n=677: oral ingestion of medications $98\%$, inhalation $1.6\%$). Intoxications by infusion/injection predominated more clearly in physicians than in the total collective. Conclusion: Comparing with the general population, the tendency to a method of suicidal poisoning being typical of the profession rises among physicians and related occupations with the degree of specialization, caused by increasing knowledge, easier access to appropriate drugs and methods.
The purpose of this study was to examine support for education informatization provided by the government agencies and the private sector in a bid to give some suggestions on education informatization, as the three-stage education informatization plan was soon going to be completed. And it's found that the government agencies pushed ahead with the education informatization plan to boost national competitiveness, and their policies primarily focused on coping with the dysfunction of informatization and narrowing information divide. On the contrary, the private sector moved ahead with the plans that aimed at building necessary infrastructure in underdeveloped areas and providing various sorts of support involving education to the low-income classes.
Purpose : To apply to Program of Auto processor quality control after comparison of Film density variations with amendments to Auto density by using Check density program and Adjust density program of calibration mode into the Laser imager. Methods : Observe Check and Adjust density variations on the Control chart with standard step and value during seven months from December, 1995 to June, 1956 extending twice a week. (1) Measure density value on the steps after printing out 17-step sensitometric pattern of the Check density program. (2) In the same way, measure density values after amending density by using Adjust density program If they are exceeding allowable error limit. Results : In case of Check density program, the exceeding limit rates of Density difference(DD) and Middle density(MD) are: FL-IM3543 DD=75%. MD=72.5%, FL-IMD DD=0%. MD=30.8%(14.5%) After amending density by using Adjust density program, the exceeding limit rates of all both Laser imager were zero percent. The standard deviations are show lower FL-IM D than FL-IM3543 on the Check density control chart, but higher on the Adjust density control chart. Conclusion : (1) Check density variations by printingout sensitometric pattern extending once a week at least for quality control of the Laser imager. (2) In case of a dusty place, check the Laser beam transmission after cleaning Laser optical unit extending once a month. (3) Be sure to measure and check density values by using adjust density program if they are exceeding allowable error limit. (4) Maintain much better film density by performing the adjust density program even if check density values are existed within normal limit.

Recently, a fuel cell is remarkable for new generation system. The fuel cell is characterized by low voltage and high current. Therefor, for connecting to general load, it needs both a step up converter and an inverter. The proposed system consists of an isolated DC-DC converter to boost the fuel cell voltage to 380[Vdc] and a PWM inverter with LC filter to convert the dc voltage to single phase 220[Vac]. Also, bi-directional DC-DC converter for fuel cell generation system is composed to improve load response characteristic. In this paper, full bridge converter and the single phase inverter are designed and installed for fuel cell. Simulation and experiment verify that fuel cell generation system could be applied for the distributed generation.
The availability of computers and the wide network of the internet of the 'Information Society' has created a new space: Cyberspace. In this situations, the matters of individual identities and morality are more important problems. Korean classical novel, Gu Wun Mong, embodied the exploration process of identities in virtual spaces, has gravity of a situation. Seong Jin, the hero experienced the life of Yang so you went throughing virtual life, be born again. And he met eight taoist fairy in that virtual world. In this process, Seong Jin overcame a dualistic world of view and established identity of genuine truth-seeker. The 'Dream-fantasy' experience differentiation real world and virture world and give to Seong Jin a new identity, So You. Seong Jin used avatar, So You was free from limits of self and became obtain multiple personalities. Finally, Seong Jin realized the fact that real world and virtual one is the same, for development self-perception. Seong Jin's enlightment provided solutions for modern netizens, who is ambivalent about contradiction the real and virtual, infinity and clash of desire.
Acetone powder was prepared from raw arrowroots and the polyphenol oxidases of crude enzyme prepared from acetone powder were identified 5 isoenzymes by staining with catechol containing 0.05% phenylene diamine. The crude enzyme was passed through the columns of ion exchangers and gel permeation to fractionate the polyphenol oxidases. The main fraction of polyphenol oxidase appeared to be purified by 94-fold, with the activity yield of 45.4%, and its molecular weight was determined as 38,500 by poly acrylamide gel electrophoresis. The optimal pH and temperature for the enzyme activity were pH 7.5 and $50^{\circ}C$, respectively. The purified enzyme showed a high affinity for catechol and pyrogallol. The Michaelis constant for catechol was calculated to be 16.67mM according to the Lineweaver-Burk method. The enzyme activity was strongly inhibited by L-ascorbic acid, sodium bisulfite, EDTA and KCN, and totally inhibited, by $Fe^{3+}$ at a concentration of 1mM. However the enzyme was activated by $Zn^{2+}$ approximately 1.7 times at the same concentration.
