The Analysis of the Muscle Fatigue Recovery Effect on LR9 by Compound Stimulation of the PEMFs and LED (음포혈(陰包, LR9)에서 펄스형 전자기장 및 가시광 LED 복합 자극이 대퇴부 근피로 회복에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study was to develop the combined medical stimulus system consisted of the PEMFs (Pulsed electromagnetic fields) and LED which are able to stimulate local point such as acupoints and trigger points. Methods : To evaluate the therapeutic effect on the musculoskeletal disorders and the possibility of alternative method on manual acupuncture, we compared the fatigue recovery of two groups by analyzing the EMG and peak torque (non-stimulation and, stimulation group) after strenuous knee exercise. We chose the LR9 as a stimulation point. Results : The median frequency (MF) and fatigue index (F.I) of the stimulation group were recovered faster than those of the non-stimulation group. Also the peak torques of both groups were not restored until after 20 minutes. However, the peak torque of the stimulation group was regained higher than that of the non-stimulation group. Conclusions : We confirmed that the proposed combined stimulus system had useful effects as treatment instrument of musculoskeletal disorder using non-invasive method of PEMFs and LED.

Effect of Sa-Am Acupuncture on Radial Pulse ; A Comparative Study of Stomach-tonification and Spleen-tonification (위정격(胃正格)및 비정격(脾正格)자침이 맥파에 미치는 영향 비교 연구)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to find parameters to compare the effects of Sa-Am acupuncture with stomach-tonification (ST) and Sa-Am acupuncture with spleen-tonification (SP) on radial pulse. Methods : Forty healthy subjects participated in this study. Radial pulse was measured using 3 dimensional pulse imaging system (DMP-3000) before, right after, 30 minutes after, and 60 minutes after acupuncture. Results : 1. The parameters analysed in this study were changed in the same direction with different degrees by ST and SP. 2. In males, SP manipulation showed significantly increased pulse period and (T-T4)/T, and significantly decreased T1/T, T4/T, T4/(T-T4), and F1~F3 frequencies compared to ST. 3. In females, ST manipulation showed significantly increased (T-T4)/T, and significantly decreased F1~F3 frequencies compared to SP. Conclusions : The parameters analysed in this study may be used to differentiate the effects between ST and SP on radial pulse. These parameters are more strongly affected by SP than ST in males whereas more strongly affected by ST than SP in females.

Analysis of Meridians Energy change by Cupping Stimulation (부항자극에 대한 체표 경락.경혈의 생체에너지 변화 분석)

  • Objectives : The aim of this study is evaluation for significance of skin meridian-acupoints energy measurement system, and is verification of principle to measure the bio-ion charge on acupoints. Methods : To check a correlation between the MEP(Meridian Energy Potential) and bio-electric charge condition, ten acupoints(left/right BL meridian : BL13, BL15, BL18, BL20, BL23) were chosen. Based on basic theory concerning the upward trend of the bio-electric charge by cupping therapy, we measured MEP change before and after 600mmHg(80kPa) Negative pressure stimulation using cupping. Results : We could identify the correlation between MEP and the condition of bio-electric charge in acupoints. Also, we checked the balance or imbalance of left/right the MEP and unusual cases. Conclusions : We confirmed significance of proposed principle and meridian energy measurement system.

Influence on Meridians Electric Potential for Electrical Ground and Insulation (-침술효과 객관화를 위한 연구- 접지와 절연조건이 경락전위에 미치는 영향)

  • When a patient is positioned at insulated bed and practitioner is positioned at insulated floor, that condition could be a cause of lessening effect in acupuncture practice. We investigated how Ground connection and Insulation could influence on the electrical meridian potential between practitioner and patient during acupuncture practice. We treated 30 normal healthy subjects with acupuncture and measured changes in the electrical potential between the stomach meridian points ST-39 and ST-37 in response to light touch after insertion of a needle at ST-36. At first, we stimulated non-insulated needle and measured electrical potentials for non ground, patient ground only, practitioner ground only, all ground respectively. Then we used insulated needles and measured same as above. Non-insulated all ground subject elicited positive mean potential $44.6{\pm}19.2{\mu}V$ and showed $181.4{\pm}59.7{\mu}V$ peak to peak potential. Practitioner ground only showed negative mean potential of $51.5{\pm}9.3{\mu}V$ and $367.4{\pm}27.8{\mu}V$ of peak to peak potential. Patient ground only revealed no mean potential of $2.9{\pm}1.3{\mu}V$, $16.4{\pm}11.9{\mu}V$ of peak to peak potential. All ground showed no mean potential of $1.6{\pm}0.7{\mu}V$, $3.3{\pm}1.9{\mu}V$ of peak to peak potential. In case of Insulated condition, there elicited no mean potential. Non ground and Practitioner only showed weak value of peak to peak potential as $7.8{\pm}2.6{\mu}V$ and $8.4{\pm}2.5{\mu}V$ each. But patient only and all ground showed no potential as $4.7{\pm}2.2{\mu}V$, $3.4{\pm}2.2{\mu}V$, respectively. Therefore, Ground connection modulate the energy transfer course between practitioner and patient. Insulation block energy transfer but static electrical impulse between practitioner and patient.

돼지 난포란 복합체(PCOCs)의 체외성숙시 Plasminogen Activator의 생산에 관한 연구

  • 소의 난포란과 난구세포의 체외배양시 plasminogen activators(PAs)의 생산을 보고하였다 (Choi 등, 1998). 따라서 본 연구는 돼지 난포란 및 난구세포의 체외성숙시 PAs의 생산을 SDS-PAGE와 Zymogram을 이용하여 조사하였다. PCOCs는 도축암퇘지의 난소로부터 채취하여, 난구세포가 충실한 것만 선별하였으며, 실험구에 사용될 난구세포는 pipetting에 의해 분리하여 이용하였다. 돼지 신선정액은 D-PBS로 1,500 rpm, 5분간 2회 원심분리하여 정장물질을 제거하고, 3회째는 5mM caffein이 함유된 BO(Brackett과 Oliphant, 1985) 배양액으로 세정하였다. 처리한 돼지 정액은 1$\times$$10^{8}$ cells/$m\ell$로 조정하여 20${\mu}\ell$씩 분주하고 0, 1, 2, 3 또는 4시간 동안 39$^{\circ}C$ 5% $CO_2$, 95% 공기인 배양기에서 수정능획득을 유도하였다. 배양이 완료된 정액은 20${\mu}\ell$의 sample buffer(5% SDS, 20% glycerol, 0.0025% bromophenol blue 그리고 0.125M Tris HC1 buffer)에 넣어 -7$0^{\circ}C$ 동결기에 보관하였다. 전기영동은 4% stacking gel과 10% separating gel로 분리하였으며, 20 mA에서 90분간 실시하였다. Zymogram은 Choi 등(1988)의 방법에 따라 실시하여 PAs의 생산을 확인하였으며, 이상의 실험은 3반복을 실시하였다. 시험구 전체에서 urokinase type plasminogen activator(uPA)가 확인되었으며, 체외수정능 획득시간에는 차이가 없었다. 두 종류의 고분자량의 uPA의존성 영역이 나타났으며, 분자량은 65kD과 62 kD이었다. 이러한 결과로 볼 때 Hart 등(1986)이 uPA의 경우 다양한 영역의 분자량 변이를 확인할 수 있었다고 한 것과 동일하였으며, 돼지 정자가 체외수정능 획득시 uPA를 생산하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Analysis of Meridians Potential Change for Meridians State Diagnosis (경락상태진단을 위한 경락의 전위변화 분석)

  • The principle of Acupuncture effect on meridians is what physical stimulation does on general physiology so that is gets into new equilibrium from the fallen function state of human body. However, in western medicine, it is generally accepted that the action passageway of various kinds stimulation has been regarded as nerve-endocrine-immune system. Acupuncture effect has been regarded any action for all meridians as a respones by the stimulation. Western medicine doesn's accept treatment for transmission of the bio-energy. In this paper, we compared change of electric potential when an acupuncturist's bio-energy is passed on and when is not. As a result of clinics, the acupuncture effect is different as acupuncture method, when an acupuncturist's bio-energy is passed on the meridian and it isn's. It implies that acupuncture effect can complicately respond by simple acupuncture stimulus and transmission of bio-energy, on same meridian. We could confirm the relationship between an acupuncturist's energy transmission and acupuncture effect. Therefore, we could diagnosis the state of meridian using change of electric potential on the same meridian.

The credit card approval information management using WIPI (WIPI를 이용한 신용카드 결제 정보 관리)

  • SMS service is widely used for providing the approval information of a credit card when the payment is made by a credit card. But the message contained in the SMS is very simple and includes one time approval information. Although detailed approval informations could be retrieved by means of wire-network or mobile network services, the wire-network service could not be used on moving and the mobile network service requires high cost. In this paper, a WIPI application program managing the approval informations of a credit card based on the accumulated SMS messages in the cell phone has been developed. A cell phone user can conveniently can get the useful information such as the approval list on last month, the approval list on this month, the total amount on this month and the information about payment by installment from the developed program without any cost.

Smart Home Personalization Service based on Context Information using Speech (음성인식을 이용한 상황정보 기반의 스마트 흠 개인화 서비스)

  • The importance of personalized services has been attracted in smart home environments according to the development of ubiquitous computering. In this paper, we proposed the smart home personalized service system based on context information using the speech recognition. The proposed service consists of an OSGi framework based service mobile manager, service manager, voice recognition manager, and location manager. Also, this study defines the smart home space and configures the commands of units, sensor information, and user information that are largely used in the defined space as context information. In particular, this service identifies users who exist in the same space that shows a difficulty in the identification using RFID through the training model and pattern matching in voice recognition and supports the personalized service of smart home applications. In the results of the experiment, it was verified that the OSGi based automated and personalized service can be achieved through verifying users in the same space.

A Study on the Changes of Meridians Potential Induced by the Manual art during Acupuncture Therapy (수기자극에 의해 유발되는 경락전위변화에 관한 연구)

  • We studied the effects or electric potential in ST37(+) and ST39(-) generated by various the manual art stimulus or acupuncture at ST36. And compared with data on the change of electric potential from hand of performer acupuncture therapy. Electric potential induced via acupuncture from performer may be important factor that is the initiation of electric potential changes in meridian and meridian point of being performer. The results for various manual art stimulus in acupuncture therapy was that four type of electro-wave observed. That is the capacitance currents type, sign wave type, triangle wave type and circle type triangle wave. And the change of electric potential ransfer from performer acupuncture therapy in stable electro-circle condition, were capacitance currents type. So we suggested that capacitance currents stimulus in electronic view may be important factor in acupuncture therapy between performer acupuncture therapy and being performer acupuncture therapy.

  • It is necessary to develop an efficient and affordable cooling technology and apply the practical system to rural farmhouse, control to adequate growth environment by adjusting temperature of root zone. A study on managing medium temperature of the hydroponics for strawberry cultivation was conducted and feasible evaporative cooling system for the media cooling were as follows: Characteristics of temperature drop were investigated for the evaporative cooling devices using microporous film duct, felt mulching on media surface, and water permeable sheet in culture tank. The evaporative device with water permeable sheet in culture tank was the most efficient and economic on media cooling system.
