  • The objective of this study is to develop the alternative of the container transport vehicle of new type for the purpose of the increase of terminal productivity. In order to develop the alternatives, we analyze the technical specification of existing transport vehicles such as YT(Yard Trailer), S/C(Straddle Carrier), SHC(Shuttle Carrier), AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle) and investigate the operation and performance of transport vehicles to classify the technical generation. The development alternative of transport vehicle is presented in this study is very useful to advanced container terminal with higher productivity.

  • The objective of this study is to develop the alternative model of the container transport vehicle of high productivity for the purpose of the increase of terminal productivity. In order to develop the alternatives, we analyze the technical specification of existing transport vehicles such as YT(Yard Tractor), S/C(Straddle Carrier), SHC(Shuttle Carrier), and AGV(Automated Guided Vehicle) and investigate the operation and performance of transport vehicles to classify the technical generation. A Study on Two-step Dispatching for Multi-function Transport Vehicle at Container Terminal (컨테이너터미널에서 다기능 이송차량의 2단계 배차 방안)

  • The objective of this study is to present the two-step dispatching strategy for the purpose of the transport vehicle with multi-function used in container terminal. The two-step dispatching is a method to save the waiting time between transport vehicle and cranes using real time location control. The first step dispatching is to allocate the destination location based on the real time location information. The second step dispatching is to indicate the specific job such as loading, unloading, and pick-up based on the condition of working area. This two-step dispatching strategy decreases the waiting times of the stevedoring system and will contribute at a productivity improvement in container terminal.

  • 자동화 컨테이너 터미널의 생산성을 향상시키기 위해서는 안벽크레인의 작업 지연 시간을 최소화하는 것이 중요하다. 안벽크레인의 작업 지연 시간은 이송 차량들이 효율적으로 주행하여 제 시간에 필요한 위치에 컨테이너를 운반함으로써 단축이 가능하다. 이송차량의 주행 경로는 사전에 결정된 레이아웃에서 최단 거리, 최단 시간 경로 등의 라우팅 방법을 통해 결정된다. 주행 경로 레이아웃은 안벽크레인의 작업이 진행됨에 따라 안벽 크레인의 위치, 작업 물량 및 병목지점이 변화하므로 동적으로 조정한 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 안벽 크레인의 위치 변화에 따라 주행 경로 레이아웃을 동적으로 최적화하는 방안을 제안한다. 제안방안의 효율성은 시뮬레이션 실험을 통해 검증하였다.

  • 해양수산부에서 추진 중인 "스마트 해상물류체계 구축전략"의 일환으로, 스마트 항만 도입 및 항만의 자동화를 위해서는 자율주행을 기반으로 하는 야드 트럭의 도입이 필수적이다. 항만의 야드 트럭 운영 환경은 무신호 교차로 주행, 낮은 GPS 정확도, 악천후 상황 주행, 컨테이너 이송을 위한 정차 등과 같이 일반 도로에서의 자율주행차량 운행 환경과는 달라 기존의 자율주행차량 기술을 바로 적용할 수 없어 항만 내 자율협력주행기반 이송장비 도입을 위한 별도의 방안 마련이 필요하다. 본 연구는 이송장비 도입을 위한 국내 컨테이너터미널 유형별 운영현황을 살펴보고, 이송장비의 투자가치 분석 및 민감도 분석을 통해 항만개발의 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.

  • The wheelchair mechanism for a car that is proposed in this study primarily consists of a transfer mechanism and storage mechanism. The wheelchair transfer mechanism consists of a manipulator installed in the roof of a car, and performs the function of transferring the wheelchair from the driver's seat to the trunk. The wheelchair storage mechanism consists of a lifting hoist installed in the trunk of car, and performs the function of storing the transferred wheelchair in the trunk and safely fastening it in place. This study analyzed and reviewed various manipulators, including a vertical type, Scara type, and telescopic type, with the goal of selecting the best type of manipulator for the wheelchair transfer mechanism. The telescopic type was selected and applied because of its good load support and storage capabilities. In addition, with regard to the wheelchair storage mechanism, a slide hoist type that used a slide rail and lift wire and a rotating link hoist type that used a rotating mechanism consisting of a worm gear and link were analyzed and reviewed. The slide hoist type was selected and applied because it had an advantage in relation to trunk space utilization. This study proposed a wheelchair transfer mechanism for a car to support a conventional wheelchair user's movements, and in order to conform to the structure of a domestic welfare car for the disabled.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze transport ability of Automated Guided Vehicle(AGV) and Double Stack Vehicle(DSV) at Automated Container Terminal(ACT). Usually, the main difference of AGV and DSV is capacity of container that they can transport between apron and yard block at once. AGV can carry out two 20 feet or one 40 feet maritime containers, but DSV can carry out four 20 feet or two 40 feet maritime containers. Therefore, DSV may improve more efficiency of stevedoring system of container terminal. In this paper, a simulation model using a graphics simulation system is developed to compare the proposed DSV with the current AGV at automated container terminal. The paper includes examples, performance tests and a discussion of simulation results.

  • A wheelchair is a typical mobility aid for the physically disabled or the old and the weak, and is the most commonly used rehabilitation aid. In general, most of users of manual wheelchair have difficulty though vocational rehabilitation and independent living is possible. The reason is that long-distance movement is always accompanied with wheelchair transfer problem because a wheelchair is used as direct means of transport. Hence, the wheelchair transfer problem should be first solved in order that a wheelchair user can independently live. Therefore, this study examined and analyzed the domestic and overseas launched products and patented technologies of wheelchair transfer system for vehicle, and proposed a wheelchair transfer mechanism of a new system for vehicle. This study proposed a wheelchair transfer mechanism for vehicle in order to remove the disadvantage of wheelchair transfer system for vehicle to support the conventional wheelchair user's movement, and in order to conform with the structure of domestic welfare vehicle for the disabled. Because a difference between storage space installed in the roof of vehicle and storage space for leisure, which is generally utilized, gets to disappear by applying this proposed mechanism, popularity among users can be increased. And storage space that has become smaller like this will be capable of decreasing the disadvantage of air resistance in traveling. Besides, because of getting to conform with the structure of welfare vehicle, restrictions on the application range will disappear from small sedan to SUV. Therefore, users can have more choices.

  • Delaying and objection for the construction of storage spent-fuel disposal has prompted to consider expanding on-site storage of spent reactor fuel since it can eliminate the need for costly and difficult shipping and control of the spent fuel completely under the direction of the owner-utility. The dry storage unit developed in Canada can accommodate Korea heavy water reactor fuel elements and become a candidate for the Korean market. In this paper, finite element analysis were carried out in order to investigate the structural behavior of the nuclear spent fuel dry storage system, which is subjected to impact loads such as collision of a truck load and dropping of flask under the irregular operation.

  • 교통사고나 안전사고로 인한 중증 피해자를 사망으로부터 지켜내기 위해서는 앰뷸런스가 병원으로까지 환자를 이송하는 "골든타임(Golden time)"이 중요하다. 본 연구는 사람들에게 미리 "라이프 라인(Life Line)"을 시각적으로 알려줌으로써, 복잡한 도로에서 응급상황이 왔을 때 자연스럽게 앰뷸런스의 길을 터 주어 빠른 시간 안에 환자를 병원까지 이송하도록 하는 응급도로 표시를 연구하였다. 현재 설치되어 있는 도로 노면표시 중 기존차량에 관한 노면표시를 살펴보고 응급차량 관련 새로운 노면표시 디자인의 가이드 라인을 제시하였다.
