  • Recently, development and application of the condition monitoring and diagnostic system for improvement of durability and reliability and reduction of operating cost is generalized in the aircraft propulsion system. Especially, for reliable operation of the UAV which is flying in high altitude more than 40,000 ft for a long time an condition monitoring system to identify faults and degradations of its propulsion system should be needed. Therefore, this work proposes an on-line condition monitoring program using MATLAB/SIMULINK. In the development phase of the program, a engine signal generation module is used to simulate real engine measuring parameters instead of the real engine. The proposed on-line condition monitoring program was applied to a real turboprop engine to validate its application capability.

  • Since a Holter monitor records a patients' ECG when he is in motion, it can monitor complex heart disease effectively. But it can not handle a sudden heart disease because the diagnosis process will be done only after 24 hours. So in this study, a model of ambulatory monitoring system using wireless data communication network is proposed. And a mobile ECG equipment and a doctors' terminal are developed for the proposed system implementation. As a result, we can evaluate that the proposed ambulatory monitoring system is suitable for the management of ambulatory patients who may be at risk form sudden cardiac abnormalities.

  • This research is performed to upgrade the performance and stabilize ther operation of GSS L1 receiver. One of the this research result is that the pre-development GSS receiver is amended to remove performance degradation factor so GSS L1 receiver performance enhancement is achieved. Other is that as a result of long run test, real environment test is performed and GSS L1 receiver operate under the GPS live signal receiving environment. Key result of this research is localization of GSS receiver.

  • Diagnosis f structural integrity is the basis for correct treatment of and countermeasures against progressive structural abnormalities. An exact diagnosis is at present the most reliable means for determining the soundness of structures during power plant operations. Acoustic emission(AE) technology has recently strengthened its application base, and practitioners' understanding of the technique's fundamentals. This paper presents the results of a survey and assessment on AE monitoring applications in nuclear, fossil and hydraulic power plant. The main objective of this paper was to obtain information on various applications of AE technology in electric power plant.
