  • 사물인터넷 기술은 이미 지능형 정보처리를 필요로 하는 여러 융합 서비스의 주요 기술로 이용되고 있으며 그 중요성은 나날이 부각되고 있다. 특히 사물인터넷의 핵심 기술 중 하나인 저전력 블루투스 기반 무선통신 장치인 비콘이 주목받고 있다. 비콘은 애플의 아이비콘을 시작으로 다양한 산업분야에서 활용되고 있으며, 최근에는 비콘의 기본 기능을 넘어서 특정 환경 및 조건에서 사용하고자 하는 요구가 늘어나고 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 가속도 센서와 홀 센서를 활용한 비콘 디바이스를 제안한다. 제안한 비콘 디바이스는 센서를 통한 이동 감지를 통해 특정 상황에서의 제어가 가능할 것으로 기대한다.

Fast Neighbor Discovery for IEEE 802.11s based Mobile Mesh Node (IEEE 802.11s 기반 이동형 메쉬 노드를 위한 빠른 이웃노드탐색 기법)

  • In the ad-hoc mode of IEEE 802.11 standard, beacon is used for power control and network alarming between each node, and also it is for the synchronization in controlling network as PCF. However beacon is also used to inform the neighbor nodes of itself except for original purpose in the environment of IEEE 802.11s. For this, the existing beacon's transmission mechanism can't perform a function in full. In this paper, we suggest much faster neighbor discovery reducing network congestion caused by beacon through modification of beacon transmission mechanism. And we will show that suggesting algorithm more faster full neighbor discovery than traditional neighbor discovery using for IEEE 802.11 through simulation and test in real ad-hoc network.

  • IoT technology has been used as a core technology of convergence service that needs intelligent information processing, and the importance is largely emerging now. And internal network construction thru IoT interaction device can connect with IoT device effectively, provide diverse services by connection with open platform. Especially, beacon that is based on low electric power bluetooth device is receiving attention as one of core technology of IoT. Beacon technology is utilized widly in various fields of industry, and there are lot of demands in the specific environment and conditions beyond the basic function. On this thesis, the authors are proposing the beacon device that utilized acceleration sensor and hole sensor. this beacon device can control the target on specific situation thru sensing of moving target. For the more, we will expect to apply to the various type of factory environments like detachable installation, optimized management using sensor.

  • Recently BLE beacon has been widely used as a method for measuring the indoor location in the IoT Technique. But it requires a filtering technique for the measurement of the correct position. It is used the most fixed beacon. It is not accurate that calculates the position information through the identification of the beacon signal. Therefore, filtering is important. So it takes a lot of time, position measurement and filtering. Thus, we is to measure the exact position at the indoor using a mobile beacon. The measured beacon signal is composed of an ontology for reuse in the same pattern. RSSI is measured the receiver is the distance of the beacon. And this value configure the location ontology to be normalized by the relationship analysis between the values. The ontology is a method for calculating the position information of the moving beacon. It can detect fast and accurate indoor position information and provide the service.

  • A study on Ontology-based indoor positioning techniques using BLE Beacon. Recently BLE beacon has been widely used as a technique for measuring the indoor location. A Study on Adaptive Pilot Beacon for Hard Handoff at CDMA Communication Network (CDMA 통신망의 하드핸드오프 지원을 위한 적응형 파일럿 비콘에 관한 연구)

  • This paper proposes an adaptive pilot beacon equipment for mobile communication systems based on direct spread spectrum technology which generates the pilot channel for handoff between base stations by using the information acquired from the downstream wireless signal regarding the overhead channel information. Such an adaptive pilot beacon equipment will enable low power operation since among the wireless signals, only the pilot channel will be generated and transmitted. The pilot channel in the downstream link of the CDMA receiver is used to acquire time and frequency synchronization and this is used to calibrate the offset for the beacon, which implies that time synchronization using GPS is not required and any location where forward receive signal can be received can be used as the installation site. The downstream link pilot signal searching within the CDMA receiver is performed by FPGA and DSP. The FPGA is used to perform the initial synchronization for the pilot searcher and DSP is used to perform the offset correction between beacon clock and base station clock. The CDMA transmitter the adaptive pilot beacon equipment will use the timing offset information in the pilot channel acquired from the CDMA receiver and generate the downstream link pilot signal synchronized to the base station. The intermediate frequency signal is passed through the FIR filter and subsequently upconverted and amplified before being radiated through the antenna.

  • Smart factory has the function of integrated management of production process management, logistics management as a intelligent factory, it is also emerging as the core of new industry which converges ICT and manufacturing business. We suggested Smart factory logistics management system which embedded position tracking technology and the system converges ICT and IoT. This suggested system can manage all the processes from production to release by tracking route and position based on signal strength of bluetooth 4.0 beacon tag. For the more, we will expect to apply to the various type of factory environments like detachable installation, optimized management using sensor.

  • Recently, there have been many research that recognize the situation using sensors. However, sensor data collection and analysis are still lacking in integration. This is because the data generated by the sensor is difficult to match in terms of metadata and units. Therefore, a methodology for efficiently using data generated from various sensors is needed. In this paper, we propose a system that recognizes the location through information generated from a moving iBeacon. This system constructs the ontology with the data that can recognize the exact position when the patient wearing iBeacon moves in the room. This maps standard items and sensor items, and stores the results of filtering the detected values as knowledge. the system can extract efficient location information by recognizing the value generated by moving the patient carrying iBeacon through the ontology. This can be applied not only to beacons but also to other sensors, and it can be applied variously according to the ontology configuration.

Analysis of Traffic Safety Facilities in Pedestrian Protection Area: Focusing on Variable Speed Limit Signs and Beacons (보행자 보호구역의 교통안전시설물 효과분석: 가변형속도제한표지와 비콘 중심으로)

  • Since the mid 1990s, policies have been actively promoted to improve safety and pedestrian environment around the school such as the improvement of School zone. However, the prevention of accidents was not effective because it did not extend to the school road where the main transportation route for children's commuting takes place. In addition, due to the rapid increase of automobiles, trunk road traffic in the peak time bypasses the back roads, which threatens children's safety and the environment by invading the school area, which is the main living space of children. In this study, the characteristics of domestic children's traffic accidents were investigated and the problems were analyzed by conducting a field survey on Yeouido Secondary School in Seoul and Unjung Elementary School in Gyeonggi Province. In addition, Variable speed limit signs and Beacons were installed in the pedestrian road of comunity including School zone, and the effects of facilities on the speed of vehicles were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the Variable speed limit sign showed a deceleration effect of about 8.3km/h, and the Beacon showed a phenomenon in which the traveling speed of 0.8km/h increased only slightly. In addition, the traffic violation rate of passenger cars, buses, and lorries decreased by about 3% as a result of investigating the number of traffic violation vehicles before and after installation.

Design and Implementation of Response type of Flickering Green Signal System using Beacon Message (비콘메세지를 이용한 반응형 녹색점멸 신호시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • As a domestic traffic control signal system, either the system with which a traffic signal turns into green at regular intervals or the system with which an amber or a red signal flickers on local roads without heavy traffic at midnight has been utilized. However, when the former system is used for roads with light traffic at midnight, delays and congestion can be incurred. Besides, in case of the latter signal system, the risk of vehicle crash is high. This study proposes a response type of flickering green signal system that rearranges signal system after analyzing beacon messages including sensor data. The proposed system, on a trunk road or a branch road at midnight, makes the signal keep flickering in green; When a vehicle enters the range of RSE, the transfer coverage, it transmits beacon messages regularly and Agent System analyzes the messages and alters the signal. It is a system by which vehicles move following the altered signal system, which will not only ensure smooth flow but also prevent vehicles from crashing on a road with light traffic. As a result of a simulation, traffic throughput and the average waiting time displayed 10 to 30 percent better improvement than existing signal systems, in terms of performance.
