The Proper Length of Transition Area for Work Zones on Urban Freeways (도시고속도로 공사구간의 적정 완화구간 길이 산정)

  • Due to the characteristics of urban freeways such as heavy traffic and high speed, work zone on urban freeways causes the increase of not only the likelihood of crash occurrence but also traffic congestion caused by lane drop, lane change, acceleration/deceleration, and etc. This paper aims to determine the proper length of transition area that satisfies two criteria, mobility and safety, to make the operation of work zone more efficient. For the analysis, three different scenarios were developed by the number of lanes and the proper length of transition area were determined by changing the length from 100m to 500m in 100m increments. The results showed that the proper length of transition area for 3- and 4-lane freeways is 300m, whereas the proper length of 2-lane freeways is 200m. The results indicated that the different length of transition area based on the number of lanes is more desirable and efficient.

  • In this paper, we propose a study of scheme to detect mobile object. In special zone needed detection, sensor network based system development can provide safety of pedestrian. Instead current CCTV, intelligent sensor network and service can provide reliability to guarantee safe zone. Base on pedestrian characteristic, if unusual situation is detected and it is included in previous agreed scenario, safety service can be provided.

  • Context-Awareness is a important technology to support optimized services automatically by recognizing various context informations in ubiquitous environments. Previous middlewares which supports ubiquitous environments used a centralized storage and DBMS to store and manage context informations and service contents. Centralized management of context informations and service contents sometimes hinders the autonomy of moving node and interoperability between difference middlewares. In this paper, we design the systems which stores context informations in moving node by distributed form and shares service contents between middlewares in distributed ubiquitous environments. And it provides Context-Aware scripts to supports the definition of context informations reasoning and execution of services. It verifies the usefulness of the designed systems by applying the scenario of music playing service based on context awareness

  • This paper introduces a health monitoring system based on a wireless sensor network for weapon asset. This system can estimate the remaining lifetime and decide what should be done and when should it be done using the environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity and shock for weapon assets by sensor tag. And we describes its operating scenario and routing method for this system. Finally we introduce the developments of the sensor tag, portable reader, gateway and monitoring server.

  • 본 논문에서는 차세대 전술이동통신체계에서의 무선 MSAP Mesh망에서 효율적으로 인증 키를 관리하고 전술이동통신체계의 부하를 줄이는 새로운 혼합형 인증기법을 제안한다. 기존 방식에서 각 MSAP이 체계 접속을 위해서는 중앙집중형 인증기법과 분산형 인증기법을 활용할 수 있는데 각각의 문제점을 안고 있다. 즉, 중앙집중형 인증기법은 MSAP 노드의 빈번한 가입 및 탈퇴로 인한 과다한 지연 문제가 있고 분산형 인증기법은 인증에 필요한 정보를 사전에 공유해야 하는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하는 동시에 전술적인 환경에서 악의적인 MSAP 접속 거부와 네트워크 보안성을 극대화하기 위해서는 보다 효과적인 인증기법이 요구된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 미 인증된 MSAP이 EAP-TLS 기법을 기반으로 전술이동통신 네트워크 진입시 초기인증과 이웃 MSAP간의 상호인증 등 다양한 시나리오를 군의 특수한 환경에 맞추어 구체적으로 제시하고 각 인증 기법의 장 단점을 분석하여 혼합형 인증기법 적용에 타당성을 강조하였다.

  • RFID/USN core technologies for ubiquitous computing, It is possible to use variety of sensors, direct processors, and wireless network technology that easily collect the actual physical environment and can monitor information remotely. Especially the healthcare industry and services combined with U-Healthcare that have international competitiveness in the medical field. But the USN, standard management system of RFID such as EPCglobal architecture framework, the lack of interoperability issues and the global sensor network implementation. In this paper, a system for managing sensor nodes of the USN, USN of SIP-based management system (UMS) is proposed. UMS support Session Initiation Protocol (SIP), provide session management and mobility capabilities, that is based on Internet standard protocol. UMS architecture of the existing SIP architecture, added USN User Agent (UUA) and the USN Name Server (UNS) that the location of sensor nodes should be possible to trace. UUA on behalf of the limited capacity of the location of the sensor nodes to perform the registration process, UNS to track the location of the sensor nodes to provide name resolution services. The proposed management system has the advantage of internet applications such as Web services interoperability and easy to recycle existing resources with other SIP-based because it uses the Internet standard protocol SIP. In this paper we propose is based on the UMS blood temperature management system is verified through the scenario.

  • 넥서스는 물, 에너지, 식량, 토지, 기후 및 환경 등의 부문 간 연관성과 상호의존성을 나타내며, 이러한 넥서스 개념은 최근에 학계와 정책결정자들에게 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 더 나아가 넥서스 관점의 도입으로 단일 부문별로 자원을 관리하는 기존의 정책 결정 체계의 한계를 극복하고, 관련 있는 부문 간의 시너지와 트레이드오프를 고려한 지속가능한 발전을 위한 의사 결정이 가능하게 되었다. 일반적으로 취수-도수-정수처리-송수-분배·급수-물이용-하수집수-하수처리-물재이용으로 구성되는 도시 물순환 시스템에서 공급과정에서 발생되는 물손실 관리를 위한 전략 및 프로그램은 물부문 만에서 평가를 통해 수립되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 시스템 다이나믹스(System Dynamics)를 적용하여 물, 에너지 및 환경 부문을 동시에 고려한 도시 물순환 시스템 모델을 개발하여, 넥서스 관점에서의 합리적인 도시 물손실 관리 방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 그리고 모델 내 부문 간 자원의 사용량 및 이동량의 정량화를 위해 물, 에너지, 환경 지표로 각각 물발자국(Water Footprint), 총 에너지 사용량(Total Energy Use) 및 탄소발자국(Carbon Footprint)이 적용되었다. 개발된 모델을 3개의 도시 에너지 인텐시티 현황(낮음, 보통, 높음)과 4개의 물손실 현황(낮은 물손실, 높은 물손실&낮은 명목손실비, 높은 물손실&보통 명목손실비, 높은 물손실&높은 명목손실비)을 고려한 12개의 시나리오에 적용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 기존의 경제적인 측면 중심의 의사결정 과정에서는 명목손실이 물손실 관리 전략 수립 및 적용의 우선순위였으나, 넥서스 관점에서는 실손실 부분의 개선이 중요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 도시의 단위 물공급 에너지 인텐시티가 자원 사용 및 이동에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되어서, 넥서스 관점의 의사결정시 사전적으로 분석해야 하는 중요 항목인 것으로 도출되었다. 이와 같은 범용적이고 포괄적인 도시 물순환 물-에너지-환경 넥서스 모델을 통해, 지속가능하고, 체계적이며, 구체적이고, 실현가능한 넥서스관점의 물손실 관리가 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Mobile network is used by many users worldwide for diverse services, including phone-call, messaging and data transfer over the Internet. However, this network may experience massive damage if it is exposed to cyber-attacks or denial-of-service attacks via wireless communication interference. Because the mobile network is also used as an emergency network in cases of disaster, evaluation or verification for security and safety is necessary as an important nation-wide asset. However, it is not easy to analyze the mobile core network because it's built and serviced by private service providers, exclusively operated, and there is even no separate network for testing. Thus, in this paper, a virtual mobile network is built using OpenAirInterface, which is implemented based on 3GPP standards and provided as an open source software, and the structure and protocols of the core network are analyzed. In particular, the S1AP protocol messages captured on S1-MME, the interface between the base station eNodeB and the mobility manager MME, are analyzed to identify potential security threats by evaluating the effect of the messages sent from the user terminal UE to the mobile core network.

  • We propose a tree-based integrated network of infrastructure network and mobile ad hoc network to effectively support Mobile IP for mobile ad hoc networks and also proposed a network management protocol for formation and management of the integrated network and a tree-based routing protocol suitable for the integrated network. The integrated network has fixed gateways(IGs) that connect two hybrid networks and the mobile nodes in the network form a small sized trees based on the mobile nodes that are in the communication distance with a IG. A new node joins an arbitrary tree and is registered with its HA and FA along tree path. In addition, the proposed protocol establishes a route efficiently by using the tree information managed in every node. We examined the effectiveness of the tree-based integrated network for some possible network deployment scenarios and compared our routing protocol against the Mobile IP supported AODV protocol.

  • As the use of unmanned aerial vehicles increases, in order to expand the operability of the unmanned aerial vehicle, it is essential to develop an unmanned aerial vehicle traffic management system, and to establish the system, it is necessary to analyze the integrated navigation performance of the unmanned aerial vehicle to be operated. Integrated navigation performance is affected by various factors such as the type of unmanned aerial vehicle, flight environment, and guidance law algorithm. In addition, since a large amount of flight data is required to obtain high-reliability analysis results, efficient and consistent flight scenarios are required. In this paper, a flight scenario that satisfies the requirements for integrated navigation performance analysis of rotary and fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles was designed and verified through flight experiments.
