민선지방자치 실시 이후 충남도민의 자치의식 조사를 통해 자치의식 제고 및 자치역량 강화와 관련된 정책적 시사점 도출을 통하여 향후 바람직한 충남도민의 자치의식 정립 및 자치역량 강화에 요구되는 일련의 지침을 제공하고자 한다. 이러한 문제하에 자치의식 조사 결과를 통하여 본 정책적 함의는 지방자치단체의 정책능력 신장, 지방의회의 역할과 지방의원의 자질 향상, 지방공무원의 역할향상 기대, 주민의 자치의식과 주민참여 활성화 노력 등으로 요약할 수 있다.

본 연구에서는 전국에 거주하는 20세 이상 남녀 총 2,000 명을 조사대상으로 한 한국소비자원 (2007)의 "국민소비행태 및 의식구조 조사"자료를 가지고 소비자의 안전추구행동을 조사분석하였다. 구체적으로, 소비자안전의식과 가정생활양식 변수가 소비자 안전추구행동에 미치는 요인을 조사하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과를 정리 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소비자들은 자동차를 제외하고 농산물 구매에서 안전성보다는 가격, 신선도 등 다른 요인을 중요한 기준으로 고려하고 있어 안전추구행동이 낮은 수준이라고 하겠다. 둘째, 소비자 안전의식은 여성, 젊은 소비자, 가족 수가 3인 인 경우, 농산물 수입개방에 대해 중간적 입장을 취한 소비자의 경우, 미래지향적인 소비자들에게서 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대체로 농산물 구매에 있어서 소비자가 환경지향적이고 농산물 수입개방에 대해 부정적인 소비자 일 수록 안전추구행동 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 자동차의 경우 남성, 미혼자, 연령이 낮은 경우, 가족 수가 적은 경우 안전성을 중요한 구매기준으로 고려하고 있었다. 대체로 여성, 미혼, 나이가 많은 경우, 가족수가 적은 경우, 환경의식이 높은 경우 술의 소비가 적었으며, 여성, 고졸이하, 나이가 적은 경우, 가족 건강 여가 지향적인 경우 담배를 전혀 소비하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 여성, 대졸, 고소득, 가족 건강지향적, 부정적 농산물수입개방 태도의 경우 수입농산물 구매에서 안전성을 제일 중요한 기준으로 삼고 있었다. 끝으로, 여성, 고졸 소비자, 여가 현재 지향적, 환경의식이 높은 소비자의 경우 안전추구행동 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 소비자의 안전의식은 안전추구 행동에 직접적 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

일본자동판매기공업협회는 전국 청량음료공업협회와 함께 전국의 20대~50대 500인을 대상으로 $\ulcorner$청량음료 자동판매기에 관한 의식과 이용 실태$\lrcorner$조사를 실시했다. 본 조사는 소비자가 청량음료 자판기를 어떻게 접하고, 또 어떠한 의식을 가지고 있을까를 찾는 것을 목적으로 하는 것으로, 환경문제를 포함해 매우 흥미로운 결과를 나타냈다. 일본과 자판기 문화가 크게 다르지 않은 국내 현실에 있어서도 일본시장의 설문조사는 참조할 부분이 많을 것으로 보여 진다.

The main purpose of this study is to analyze and evaluate the types of environmental awareness as an eco-friendly/non-eco consumer among Korean University students. The data of research were collected by a survey questionnaire with face-to-face interviews in South Korea. The questionnaire was consisted of fifty-six variables with five questions of demographic factors. The variables employed in the survey were drawn from the literature review and suggested by the focus group to make the questionnaire influential in studying the trends of eco-friendly consumers. Descriptive statistics and binary logistic regression modeling were used by two groups of the student consumers to find the significance of each factors; practice, habit, recognition, concern, and insistence. Environment-friendly consumers show significant difference with non eco-friendly consumers including practice, habit, and concern toward environmental issues.

The purpose of this study is to investigate national fire safety consciousness (FSC). A FSC survey would help with proper fire safety policy. Indicators to define and measure efficiently the FSC were broken down into five areas: prevention, alarm, evacuation, extinguishing, and damage expansion prevention. The indicators were developed using Parasuraman's method based on domestic and foreign research materials and meetings with experts. FSC was surveyed using the indicators on Gallup Korea. The results of the survey analysis show that evacuation is lowest, followed by extinguishing, alarm, prevention, and damage expansion prevention.

This study purports to empirically examine the potential effect of the level of social trust on their welfare consciousness level. Although previous studies in the field have focused on socio-economic or class-oriented variables, the accumulated results have shown that the effects were inconsistent at best in Korean context. In order to overcome the limits of theoretical assumptions from mainstream Marxists and institutionalists, this study suggests the relative autonomy of social consciousness and its independent effect on welfare consciousness. The analysis shows that both foundational variables, income levels and labor market participation, and the level of social trust have significant impacts upon the respondents' level of welfare consciousness.

본 연구에서는 농촌지역 재난안전도 향상을 위해 첫째, 농촌지역의 개념과 재난의 특성에 대해 알아보았다. 둘째, 농촌지역의 주민을 대상으로 재난안전에 대한 의식조사를 실시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 농촌지역 재난안전도 향상을 위한 개선방안을 제시하였다.

This research was analyzed on domestic and international damages and school facility's damages caused by earthquakes. Also, the awareness of earthquake prevention was investigated and basic results for preparing earthquake prevention measures were suggested for high school students living in school facilities at length.

This study purports to examine the potential determinants of welfare attitudes of Korean Youth. In a sense, this study could be considered as exploratory since the independent variables for model are chosen in a somewhat arbitrary manner. The independent variables are mostly value orientation of Youth. The welfare attitude is measured by the question asking respondent's nonnative idea on the primary care-giver in the old age. Data has been collected by National Youth Policy Institute as a part of research project, named "Korean Youth Development Indicators". The analysis shows that the welfare attitudes of Korean youth is influenced. by a number of factors. such as parent's education, a proxy for the parents' SES, attitude toward equality. and state's responsibility in general. The author contends that although this is an exploratory kind of study, this study contributes not only to the research in the field, hut also to the welfare policy-makers by providing generalizable outcomes on the value and attitudes of Korean youth on welfare issues. After all, policy needs public supports to be sustained.
