생활 한복의 치수규격 표준화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Size Standardization of Saengbwal Hanbok)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the standard size system of Saenghwal Hanbok for design development and popularization. As a sample, 20's and 40's female data among the 1997's National Somatometry Survey data were used because two groups have different somatic characteristics and design tastes with each other. The results are as follows; From t-test of 35 somatometric items in 20's and 40's female data, we knew that the differentiated size system proper to each age is needed. We also knew that the 38 Saenghwal Hanbok brands don't have consistent size system from investigation of size list and size application. From consideration on the number of size for production and coverage rate, we suggested regression formula by bust circumference and stature, and suggested advanced standard size system which are proper to each 20' and 40' female group.

남성복(男性服)의 치수규격을 위한 하체부(下體部)의 체형분류(II) (Classification of Bodytype of Lower Part on Adult Male for the Apparel Sizing System)

  • Concept of the comfort and fitness becomes a major concern in the basic function of the ready-made clothes. This research was performed to classify and characterize Korean adult males anthropometrically. Sample size was 1290 subjects and their age range was from 19 to 54 years old. Sampling was carried out by the stratified sampling method. 75 variables in total were applied to classify the bodytypes. Data were analyzed by the multivariate method, especially factor and cluster analysis. The high factor loading items extracted by factor analysis were based to determine the variables of the cluster analysis for the similar bodytypes respectively. In the part of the lower body, 14 variables from the data were applied to classify the bodytypes of lower part by Ward's minimum variance method. The group fanning a cluster were subdivided into 5 sets by cross-tabulation extracted by the hierarchical cluster analysis. Type 3 and 4 in lower body were composed of the majority of 53.1% of the subjects. The Korean adult males had relatively well-balanced in lower body.

중국 성인여성용 의류치수규격 설정 연구 (제II보) - 20대 연령집단을 중심으로 -

  • The purpose of this study was to provide with the useful fundamental data by developing the appearl sizing system according to body types for the Women's Wear Specifications(GB/T 1335.2-1997), National Standards of People's Republic of China. Thus, it was to improve of the garment fit and coverage rate for the apparel production assortment and stock of exporting domestic clothing to China. For this study, 581 female women aged in their twenties who lived in Beijing and Shanghai were selected for the development of the apparel sizing system who resident in Beijing and Shanghai in China. As for the method of this study was made three primary items(length, bust girth, waist girth) and seven secondary items. Data analysis were processed by SPSS WIN 10.0 Program was used. The research selected 3 major body measurements, such as stature, bust girth, waist girth and 7 secondary measurements to investigate the body features of the Chinese adult women. The data throughout the study were analyzed by using SPSS WIN version 10.0 S/W. The result were as follows: The clothes dimensions for upper and lower body and the coverage rate of body size that had the highest appearance ratio from the selected age group in 20's were: Y-type 160-84 155-64(5.9%) and the section 160cm 22.6%, A-type 160-80 160-62(39%) and the section 160cm 27.9%, B-type 155-80 155-66(6.2%) and the section 160cm 24.7%. The representative size codes of the Chinese adult women aged in their 20's were set for representing certain body dimensions such as 150-76A 150-60A(0.0%), 155-80A 155-64A(2.4%), 160-84A 160-68A(3.9%), 165-88A 165-72A(0.3%), 170-92A 170-76A(0.0%). The production coverage rates for the each representative size codes were S size the section 150cm 1.5%, M size the section 155cm 15.3%, L size the section 160cm 36.0%, XL size the section 165cm 29.7%, XXL size the section 170cm 11.4% that covered 93.9%.

의약외품 마스크의 표준 치수 규격 개발 (Designing of standard sizing system for hygienic masks)

  • This study aims to design a new sizing system for hygienic masks to protect against COVID-19-related respiratory disorders. The product sizes were collected from 70 commercially available hygienic masks, and 18 head measurements were obtained from the three-dimensional (3D) scan data of 2,048 men and women aged 20 to 69 years from the 6th Size Korea Survey. The statistical analysis was performed using the IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 28.0 program. The "bitragion-subnasale arc" and "menton-sellion length" were chosen as the key body dimensions for the hygienic mask sizing system. The linear regressions with 18 3D head measurements were analyzed, and it was determined that the key body dimensions were useful for statistically predicting other 3D head measurements related to hygienic masks. A new sizing system was proposed for two types of masks, "masks with a tight fit" and "masks with a loose fit," taking into account the existing Korean Industrial Standards (KS) and the shortcomings of the sizes of hygienic masks on the market. The sizing system for tight-fitting masks consisted of the key body dimensions, with their sizes indicated by a pair of numbers. The sizing system for loose-fitting masks consisted solely of the bitragion-subnasale arc, with their sizes denoted by letters such as S, M, and L (denoting small, medium, and large, respectively). Future studies should consider this mask sizing system for different age groups, such as children and adolescents.

2·30대 저체중 여성의 상의 치수체계 제안 (A Suggestion of the Size-designation for the Underweight Women's Tops in their 20s-30s)

  • This study helps out-size consumers purchase tops and improve the fitness of unde-weight women in their 20s-30s and by the establishment of a size system. The criteria for subjects in this study were those under 18.5($kg/m^2$) of the BMI; subsequently, a total of 233 females were enrolled. The results were: First, the nominal size for female adult formal dress suggested by the KS standard is suggested in 20 sections. The sections for underweight women are 7, (34 women who accounted for 14.59% out of 233 in total). The cover efficiency was 2.08% (which was very low). Second, tests showed that the average difference between the reference part body size of 7 sections for underweight women in the normal size section of bust cir.- hip cir.- height, and KS standard, waist cir. among reference sizes was rather small in the case of a nominal size for long height. Therefore, there is a significant difference with size in the KS standard and a sizing system proven improper for underweight woman. Third, the basic body sizes and reference body sizes were different due to the size system establishment according to measurements of underweight subjects. The research findings suggest that it is necessary to understand underweight types according to bust girth and hip girth sizes that represent basic sizes as well as to design patterns that consider the underweight body shape characteristics when women's tops are designed.

  • The purpose of this study was to provide for the useful fundamental data by developing an appearl sizing system according to body types for Chinese adult female. Thus, it was to improve of fittness and coverage rate of exporting domestic clothing to China. As a sample, 1360 female women was seleted aged between 19 and 50 who resident in Beijing and Shanghai in China for characterization body types and development of apparel sizing system by classifying them. As for the method of this study was made of 111 items by indirect measures done during Jun. 23 $\sim$ Aug. 7, 2004. Data analysis were processed by SPSS WIN 10.0 Program was used to for technical statistical analysis, ANOVA(t-test and F-test), factor analysis, duncan's multiple test. The results from the study were as follows: As they are getting older, the horizontal size and length categories related to width, thickness, and circumference increased, and the height and vertical size that show the vertical size of body reduced. 1. The women in the Shanghai area had large head width, head thickness and head circumference, the categories related to the height and head, and the women in the Beijing area had larger in terms of width, circumference, length, angle and other categories. 2. Chinese Adult women's constitutional components determined by factor analysis, six components could be identified: factor 1 : constitutional obesty and width size, factor 2 : longistudinal body size, factor 3 : shoulder form and size, factor 4 : longistudinal upper body size, factor 5 : longistudinal under body size, factor 6 : shoulder dropping.

의료용 압박스타킹의 사이즈 체계에 관한 연구 -한국 시장에서의 수입 의료용 압박스타킹을 중심으로- (Sizing System for Medical Compression Stockings -Focus on Imported Medical Compression Stockings in the Korean Market-)

  • This study provides size information on current imported medical compression stockings in Korea. A total 20 brands from 6 countries imported and sold in the Korean on-off line markets were selected for this study and the sizing system of medical compression stockings was researched. The results of this study were as follows: there were size differences among different USA brands according to product type or compression class of medical compression stockings. To establish the sizing system for medical stockings of the German brands, the basic body measurements standard was set as cA, cY, cB, cB, cC, cD, cE, cF, cG, cH, cT, lD, lG, and lT. Italian brands developed the sizing system for medical compression stockings by compression class. In the Swiss brands, size types were sub-divided as 'Normal', 'Plus', 'Short', and 'Long'. The sizing 1 were confined within very narrow limits. There were differences of the basic body measurements between Taiwan brands. The results of the comparison of the size range of the imported brands with Size Korea (KATS, 2010) by two-way size distribution shows that the sizing systems of the imported brands were unsuitable for Koreans. To enhance the suitability of the sizing system for medical compression stockings, a new sizing system for Korean adult males and females needs to be established.

온라인 판매 브래지어 사이즈의 적합성 분석 (Analysis of Appropriateness for Brassieres' Size at On-Line Shopping Mall)

  • The spread of internet brought the rapid development of on-line shopping mall, but the information of clothing-related products especially underwears in on-line shopping mall is still poor. Thus, in this paper, we investigated the dimension status and problems of brassieres selling at on-line shopping malls and suggest improving solutions. We surveyed the sales sizes and sales status of brassieres for four top-sales on-line malls and analyzed them based on both of Korean Standards and SizeKorea2005, the measurement data of Korean women's sizes. The results showed that almost of brassieres were for adults(98.8%), and for general purpose(97.8%) while the sales rates of specially targeted products for teen-ager or functional products for nursing mom were very low. Also, we noticed that Korean Standards covers most of SizeKorea measurements of women, but brassieres of only a small portion of size in Korean Standards were manufactured and sold at on-line shopping mall. It means that consumers who do not belong to the sector of most frequent body measurement range suffer difficulties in purchase of brassieres by on-line shopping. Thus, it is required to gather more accurate information about body size of potential consumers and to offer wider range of sizes and target-specific products for the activation of on-line shopping.

  • Concept of the comfort and fitness has become a major concern in the basic function of the ready-made clothes. Until now, ready-made clothes were not made by on the basis of the bodytype, but by the body size only. This research was performed to classify and characterize the bodytypes of Korean adult males. Sample size was 1290 subjects and their age range was from 19 to 54 years old. 15 variables from the photographic data of 1112 subjects were applied to analyse the bodytype of th\ulcorner lower part of trunk. Data were analyzed by the multivariate method, especially factor and cluster analysis. The groups forming a cluster can be subdivided into 5 sets by crosstabulation extracted by the hierarchical cluster analysis. 5 bodytypes classified by the photographic sources could be combined with the anthropcmetric data and were demonstrated with 5 silhouette. Type 2 and 3 in the lower part of trunk were dominant and were composed of the majority of 56.8% of the subjects. Bodytypes of Korean males were influenced by the degree of posture erectness and of curvature of the front side of the body in waist and abdomen.

This research was performed to classify and characterize Korean adult males anthropometrically. Sample size was 1290 subjects and their age range was from 19 to 54 years old. Sampling was carried out by the stratified sampling method. Data were collected by the direct anthropometric measurement. 75 variables in total were applied to classify the bodytypes. Data were analyzed by the multivariate method, especially factor and cluster analysis. The high factor loading items extracted by factor analysis were based to determine the variables of the cluster analysis for the similar bodytypes respectively. In the part of the trunk, 19 variables from the data were applied to classify the bodytypes of trunk by Ward's minimum variance method. The groups forming a cluster were subdivided into 5 sets by cross-tabulation extracted by the hierarchical culster analysis. Type 3 and 4 in trunk were composed of the majority of 55.6% of the subjects. The Korean adult males had relatively well-balanced bodytypes in trunk.
