대부분의 내용기반 이미지 검색 시스템은 이미지의 특징 벡터인 색상, 모양, 그리고 질감에 의해서 유사한 이미지를 검색하는 기법을 제공하고 있다. 최근 이러한 내용기반 이미지 검색 기술은 의료 영상 이미지와 같은 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있으며, 이에 따라서 의료 이미지를 분석하여 저장, 검색하기 위한 데이터베이스 시스템이 증가하고 있다. 그러나, 대량의 이미지로부터 원하는 이미지를 검색하기 위해서는 이미지의 메타데이타를 효율적으로 표현해야 하며, 의미성과 이미지의 특징 데이터를 통합적으로 저장 관리 할 수 있는 이미지 데이터베이스를 설계하고 구축해야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 내용기반 이미지 검색 기법을 살펴보고. 이미지를 내용기반으로 분류하고 저장할 수 있는 데이터베이스 시스템을 설계하여 효율적인 의미기반 검색을 지원말 수 있는 모델을 제시한다. 다계층 메타데이타 레이어 구조로 이미지에 대한 개념 지식 모델을 표현하고, 이미지내의 객체를 메타데이타로 표현하여 분류할 수 있는 모델을 제안한다. 또한, 이미지 내용검색을 지원하기 위한 시스템 구조를 설계하고, 메타데이타가 저장되기 위한 관계형 모델을 스타 스키마의 형태로 제시한다. 제안된 방법은 의미적인 이미지 내용 검색 방법의 지원에 활용될 수 있다.

노령층의 증가로 인하여 독거 노인층이 점점 증가하고 있다. 독거 노인은 외부의 침입이나 갑작스런 건강상의 문제로 위험에 처해질 가능성이 매우 높다. 따라서 독거 노인의 의료복지에 대한 관심이 날로 증가하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 독거 노인의 의료 복지에 적용할 수 있는 활동량 모니터링 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 저 전력으로 동작하는 지그비 임베드 네트워크와 DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) 전화 시스템으로 구성되어, U-Health 케어 개념으로 활동량과 혈압 등의 인체 정보를 일상 생활 속에서 병원 및 보호자에게 전송할 수 있다. 또한 본 연구 결과는 미래의 독거 노인 원격진료 시스템에 적용될 수 있다.

실습교육에서 효과적인 교수법을 모색하기 위하여 또래교수법, 동료교수법, 상호동료교수법 등의 개념을 고찰하였고, 투표법(vote counting)을 통해 각 교수법들의 입증된 효과에 대해 규명하고자 하였다. 각 교수법은 모두 학업성취도와 만족도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 보건의료계열 학과의 실습교육에 대한 교수법은 실습내용과 각 교수법의 장단점을 고려하여 세분화되어 적용되어야 할 것이다. 보건의료계열 학과의 실습은 기자재 및 소모품의 사용을 필수로 하기 때문에 정해진 수업시간 내에 최적의 교수법을 적용하여 학습성취도를 향상시켜야 할 필요가 있다.

실시간 모바일 웹 환경이 e-Healthcare 시스템과 통합 적용되었을 때, 보다 사용자 중심적이고 효율적인 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 심혈관 질환 진단 시스템인 PhysioGrid 시스템의 의료 정보 서비스를 모바일 환경 하에서 고품질의 사용자 중심적인 의료서비스가 가능하도록 시스템 인터페이스상 개선 방안을 제시한다. 구체적으로 우리는 최근 모바일 인터페이스에 매우 큰 변화를 가져온 모바일 위젯 형태의 어플리케이션을 도입한 서비스 모델을 정의하였다. 또한 정보 전달 기능을 향상시키고 사용자에게 진보된 경험 수준을 제공할 수 있는 앰비언트 디스플레이(Ambient display) 개념을 적용하여, 기존 시스템의 문제점에 대한 해결 방안을 검토하고 평가한다.

Understanding the biopsychosocial model of illness is crucial for any meaningful advance of health. The maintenance and promotion of health is achieved by different combinations of physical, mental, social and spiritual well-being. Health is not an objective of living. It is not only a state, but also a resource for everyday life. Health is a positive concept that emphasizes personal and social resources, as well as physical capacities. Understanding the biopsychosocial model of health and disease is very important in the medical system. George Engel challenged the medical profession to reconsider a strict biomedical approach to medical education and care, and to embrace a "new medical model," the biopsychosocial model. He argued that humans are at once biological, psychological, and social beings who behave in certain ways that can promote or harm their health. Although understanding the biopsychosocial model of illness is important, Korea's medical system have mainly been focusing on the biomedical model of illness. I would like to highlight the importance of biopsychosocial model of illness for Korea's medical system and real clinical field according to the 20th anniversary of Korean Society of Psychosomatic Medicine.

As the concept of well-being has become proliferated and an aging society has set in, there is a great demand for checking health condition of oneself as needed. Therefore, there is a growing interest in ubiquitous health systems all over the world, which can monitor health condition of oneself and transmit the monitoring results to the related medical institutes anytime anywhere. In this paper, some activities of ubiquitous health system developments all over the world are surveyed, and Medical Telematics project, one of ubiquitous health system projects being carried out currently in Daegu area, is introduced. The Medical Telematics project in Daegu area is carried out as one of RIS(Regional Innovation System) projects. An regional university, medical institutes, Technopark, and regional companies are organized into a consortium in order to construct a testbed for ubiquitous health industry in the future.

In this preliminary study exploring the development of an convergent educational program, we identified the factors that affect adherence to healthcare-associated infection (HAI) control guidelines. The data were collected using a self-reported questionnaire of 183 nursing students. The collected data were analyzed using AMOS 21.0 and SPSS 21.0 program. The model fit was ${\chi}^2=52.06$ (df=9, p<.01), GFI=.93, RMSEA=.16, NFI=.85, and CFI=.90, and the explanatory power was 26.2%. As a result in this study, it was found that the theory of planned behavior(TPB) was appropriate for explaining the intention about healthcare-associated infection control guidelines. It is necessary to develop an education program that can reinforce the concepts of TPB, and iterate research to verify its effectiveness.

This is an implementation study towards the development of a strategy to improve the pneumonia adequacy evaluation index of regional public hospital and to confirm its effectiveness. One physician, eight nurses, one computer room staff, and one nursing professor working at a regional base public hospital located in N city participated in this study from March to October 2021. An implementation study was conducted based on the conceptual model of Zuber-Skerritt & Fletcher. The stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, and reflection were operated in two cycles, and the effectiveness was evaluated in the second and third quarters. Compared to the pneumonia adequacy evaluation index in 2019, all indicators reached 100% of the standard target in 2021. The results of this study therefore infer that to provide higher quality medical services in the future, it is necessary to apply medical quality improvement activities through practical research under multidisciplinary participation and cooperation and to review the applicability of clinical sites.

This paper researches on the cases wherein the concept of gamification is applied to branded content. Gamification is the application of game elements to non-game fields, and it is being actively utilized in the areas of education, marketing, medical, sports, and shopping. Especially, the concept of gamification is applied to branded content and wherein marketing (advertisements) are expanded into entertainment content. This paper studies the methods on how the concept of gamification affects marketing, and application in the expansion of branded content into entertainment content. To achieve this, this paper looked into the concepts and characteristics of gamification and branded content, and analyzed the methods on how the elements of game (goal, competition, feedback, reward) were applied to five kinds of real cases. Finally, this paper verified that gamification is an efficient method of extending branded content into entertainment content.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the film 'The Island' on 2nd year nursing students' nursing informatics (NI) competency. The participants were sixty-eight students in a baccalaureate nursing program of a private university, taking the course, 'Nursing & Informatics' in the 2012 fall semester. Over the 15 weeks, the film was used for five weeks as introduction to NI, peer-to-group discussions, and self-reflection on lessons learned regarding NI. A qualitative content analysis was used to explore the students' experiences and perceptions on their NI competency. As a result, students signified the NI concept as the assessment of biometrics data, promotion of optimal health with the support of various technologies, and integration of patient-centered care into routine practice. They also highlighted the importance of security and safety measures as well as high quality health technology including the ubiquitous health monitoring system. Overall, the lesson outcomes of the course were met. As a supportive, instructional strategy, the use of the movie, 'The Island', was effective for nursing students in achieving NI competencies. Further study is warranted to determine if movies can be used as a means of continuing education to improve informatics competences in healthcare professionals.
