A Study on the Perceived Language and Non-verbal Communication and Lapport and Customer Satisfaction of Hospital Users : Focused on the Control Effect of Service Authenticity (병원이용객이 지각한 언어·비언어커뮤니케이션과 라포, 고객만족에 관한 연구 : 서비스진정성 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • This study is a descriptive survey using a self-reported survey method to understand the effect of language and non-verbal communication of medical service providers on customer satisfaction through Lapport and to determine the degree of impact on Lapport by adjusting perceived service authenticity. The data collection period was from April 5 to April 30, 2021. Using the convenience sampling method, data were collected from users of medical institutions located in Busan and Gyeongsangnam-do, and a total of 306 valid questionnaires were used as statistical analysis data. The collected data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS statistics version 25.0 and AMOS 20.0 programs through a coding process. In the results of this study, it was found that the language and non-verbal communication of medical service providers influenced customer satisfaction through Lapport, and the perceived service authenticity in the relationship between each variable acts as a moderating effect. Considering that the language and non-verbal factors of the medical service provider are important in the interaction between the medical service provider and the hospital user, the medical service provider should take full account of the language and non-verbal factors and help the medical institution communicate with the hospital user.

Community care perceived by medical welfare service providers and residents dwelling in the community (보건의료복지 서비스제공자와 지역주민의 커뮤니티케어에 대한 인식)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare health, medical and welfare service providers' and local residents' perception on community care. The participants were 68 service providers and 95 local residents. The data were analyzed using independent t-test and chi-square test. The results showed that the degree of agreement of service providers on the need for policy, and visiting services were higher. Service providers' ability to link local residents with a need for care to community resources was higher, but in the activation of self-help group in community, local residents agreed more. In add budget of policy to health insurance, local residents agreed less. In perception on priority for community care policy, high priorities were preparation of financial resources and care culture. To effectively operate community care policy, it is necessary to establish a care culture through active exchanges for reducing differences in policy and opinions of recipients.

  • 최근 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅(Ubiquitous Computing) 환경에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되면서 의료복지, 교통환경, 금융관리 등 다양한 서비스가 제공되고 있다. 유비쿼터스 환경에서 제공되는 다양한 서비스를 위해서는 개인 프라이버시보호를 위한 안전한 지불방식이 요구된다. 기존 지불 프로토콜은 상호 인증을 위해 사용자와 서비스제공자 사이에 개인정보를 전송한다. 이것은 안전성 측면에서 개인 프라이버시 보호의 취약점을 가지고 있다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 지불 프로토콜에서 개인프라이버시 보호의 취약점을 보호하기 위해 TMUCert라는 임시이동 사용자인증서를 신뢰기관으로부터 발급 받아 사용한다. 사용자가 원하는 서비스에서 지불만으로도 사용 가능한 컨텐츠 서비스을 이용하기 위해 TMUCert을 사용하여 불필요한 개인정보 노출을 방지하여 개인 프라이버시를 보호해 준다. TMUCert는 기존 인증서와는 달리 개인정보 노출 없이 개인프라이버시를 보호하고 익명성을 제공해 준다. 또한 공개키를 효율적으로 공유할 수 있도록 하여 이동성을 동시에 만족시켜 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 안전한 지불 프로토콜을 제공하도록 한다.

The History of Hospice and Palliative Care in Korea (한국 호스피스 완화의료의 역사)

  • The first hospice care center in Korea dates back to the East West Infirmaries (Dongseodaebiwon in the Korean language) of the Goryeo period in the early 11th century. It has been 50 years since hospice care was introduced in Korea. Initially hospice care was provided in the private sector, including those with a religious background, and its development was slow. In the 1990s, related religious organizations and academic associations were established, and then, a full-swing growth phase was ushered in as the Korean government institutionalized hospice care in the early 2000s. As a result, enhanced quality of hospice care service could be provided, which meant better pain management and higher quality of life for late stage cancer patients and their families. Still, the nation lacked a realistic reimbursement system which was needed to for financial stability of the affected patients. However, the national health insurance scheme began to cover hospice palliative expenses in 2015. In 2016, the Act on Decisions on Life-Sustaining Treatment for Patients in Hospice and Palliative Care or at the End of Life was legislated, allowing terminally-ill patients to refuse meaningless life-sustaining treatments. As the range of diseases subject to hospice palliative care was expanded, more challenges and issues need to be addressed by the service providers.

Difference in Understanding of the Need for Using Radiation in Various Fields between Students Majoring in Radiation and Non-Radiation Related Studies (전공자와 비전공자 대학생 간의 방사선이용 분야별 필요성인식 수준 차이)

  • As a way of improving social receptivity of using radiation, this study looked into the difference of understanding the need of using radiation in various fields between students majoring in radiation and non-radiation related studies, who will influence public opinion in the long term. This study also provides data needed for developing efficient strategies for projects promoting the public's awareness of using radiation. Of the students in the 79 schools sampled, 24%(177) were in 4 year colleges and 146 were junior colleges in educational statistics service (http://cesi.kedi.re.kr) In November 2010 1,945 students were selected as a sample, and they were given surveys on the need of using radiation in different fields. As a result, both between students majoring in radiation and non-radiation related studies showed a high level of understanding the need for radiation in the medical field and showed a low level of understanding of the need for radiation in the agricultural field. In all 6 fields of radiation use, students majoring in radiation related studies showed higher levels of understanding for the need to use radiation than students majoring in radiation and non-radiation related studies. In each field, male students and those who have experience medical radiation and relevant education had higher level of understanding. This shows we need to improve the understanding of the cases of female students and those who have not had experiences with medical radiation and to provide relevant education through various kinds of information. The characteristics of the groups that are shown in the results of this study are considered to be helpful for efficiently for project promoting the public's awareness of using radiation.

A Study on the Customer Segmentation and Performance by Medical Service Experience : Focusing on the Relational Benefits (의료서비스 경험에 의한 고객세분화와 성과에 관한 연구: 병원-고객 간의 관계혜택을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the customers according to the characteristics of the relational benefits and to compare the performances of the sub-groups. As a result of the research, the group type according to the relational benefits was subdivided into 3 groups, and each group was named emotional relational group, continuous relational group and intermittent relational group considering customer characteristics. First, the emotional relational group is the group that emphasizes the empathy and assurance between the service provider and the customer, and the continuous relational group is the group with the highest social, confidence and economic benefits. The intermittent relational group was simply a transaction-oriented group. This implies that a differentiated customer management strategy is needed for each relational benefit group based on customer experience in medical services.

Privacy-Preserving Outlier Detection in Healthcare Services (IoT환경에서 프라이버시를 보장하는 의료데이터 이상치 탐색 기법)

  • Recently, as high-quality sensors are being developed, it is available to conveniently measure any kind of data. Healthcare services are being combined with Internet of things (IoTs). And applications that use user's data which are remotely measured, such as heart rate, blood oxygen level, temperature are emerging. The typical example is applications that find ideal spouse by using a user's genetic information, or indicate the presence or absence of a disease. Such information is closely related to the user's privacy, so biometric information must be protected. That is, service provider must provide the service while preserving user's privacy. In this paper, we propose a scheme which enables privacy-preserving outlier detection in Healthcare Service.
