본 연구는 대표적인 지식기반산업인 생명의료산업클러스터인 첨단의료복합단지 조성정책의 형성과정을 분석하고자 한다. 첨단의료복합단지는 미래첨단산업육성정책, 국가산업진흥정책 그리고 지역균형발전정책이 첨예하게 대립했던 첨단의료산업 발전정책과 그 산물로서 2005년부터 시작한 첨단의료복합단지의 건립과정에 대한 경과를 분석하여 그 과정, 절차 그리고 결과를 분석해 보고자 한다. 첨단의료복합단지를 둘러싼 정책형성과정에 대한 분석은 단지 하나의 이벤트나 사건으로 머물지 않고 우리나라의 미래첨단산업정책, 국가신성장동력육성정책, 및 지역균형발전정책 등과 밀접히 관련되어 있다는 데 그 의의를 두고자 한다. 분석결과 첨단 의료산업분야의 정책형성 과정은 여러 정책행위자들이 간여하였다. 특히 해당 정책형성과정은 경제발전과정에서 보여준 한국 산업정책 고유특성이 반영된 합리적 행위자로서의 정부역할이 강하게 나타났다. 아울러 분석결과 다양한 정책행위자의 역동적인 역할이 정책형성의 여러 지점에 반영되었다는 점을 조명하였다.

목적: 보건의료 관리 분야의 진로는 급변하는 사회적 요구와 시대적 흐름에 발맞추어 다양한 형태로 변화하여 왔다. 본 연구에서는 학습 수요자 측면으로 교과과정에 대한 만족도와 보건의료 계열 취업에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하여 보건의료 계열 학과 학생들의 취업률을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 도출하고자 한다. 방법: 경기도 성남시 소재 보건의료 계열 학과 163명을 대상으로 2013년 5월 6일부터 5월 9일까지 설문조사를 거쳐 분석을 실시하였다. 결과: 성별에 따른 교육과정의 만족도는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았으나, 고학년으로 올라갈수록 교육과정에 대한 만족도가 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 성별과 학년에 따라 자격증 취득 계획 여부는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 즉, 성별이 여학생이고 학년이 낮을수록 전공관련 자격증 취득 계획이 높았다. 전공관련 자격증 취득에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 '성별', '학년(학번)', '보건의료계열 분야로의 취업 여부'가 유의하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 보건의료계열 취업 여부에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 '교육과정 만족도', '전공관련 자격증 취득 계획'이 통계학적으로 유의하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 결론: 보건의료관련 학과 학생들의 동일계열 취업률을 향상시키기 위해서는 전공관련 자격증 취득에 직접 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 학생들의 요구를 파악하여 교육과정에 반영하는 것이 중요할 것이다.

Drawing on a case of the construction of high-tech medical complexes, this study demonstrates the process of policy formuation. Beause the construction of high-tech medical complexes involves various analytic elements, and changes of political, economic and social environment, Kingdon's Policy Stream Framework is employed for analysis. The analysis ranges from the embarkment of the Presidential Committee on Healthcare Industry Innovation (PCHII) in August, 2005, to the enactment of High-tech Medical Complex Special Act in March, 2008. The analysis illuminates that policy formulation from agenda setting to enactment in the area of biomedical industry involves multiple factors and policy streams. An enactment of policy agenda particularly depends on the roles of multiple stakeholders as welll as policy leaders.

본 연구에서는 미 운송부 산하 고속도로교통안전국에서 규정한 EMT-I 의 미 국립표준교과과정을 알아본 뒤, 기존 피츠버그 의과대학 응급의료센터에서 제공되는 교육과정의 구성과 내용에 대하여 소개하고 미 국립 응급구조사 협회의 연차보고서를 토대로 EMT-I 자격의 미국 내 시행실태를 파악하였다 또한. 각 주별로 제공되는 교육과정의 내용과 EMT-I 구급대원의 활동범위에 대하여는 응급 의료시스템 잡지의 주 별 현황조사를 실시하였다. 끝으로 장기적인 추진과제인 Paramedic 과정 개설에 관하여 제언하였다.

Purpose: High-quality hospice and palliative medicine curricula are necessary in Korean medical schools. This study evaluated changes in students' knowledge and attitudes toward both hospice and palliative care following the completion of a course on these topics, as well as the course's overall role in the basic medical education curriculum. Methods: Questionnaires measuring knowledge and attitudes were collected before and after the course from 76 fourth-year medical students, who had received instructions integrating both hospice and palliative care in 2016. Results: The questionnaire item "Select the correct answer on the use of opioid pain control in hospice and palliative care" changed the most in terms of number of correct answers pre- and post-course (3.50 and 5.32, respectively; P<0.001). Pre- and post-course, the numbers of students who answered "Strongly Agree" and "Agree" to questions concerning their attitudes toward hospice and palliative care ("I know the purposes and roles of hospice and palliative care") were 17 (22.4%) and 65 (85.6%), respectively (P≤0.001). Affirmative responses also increased for "As a pre-physician, I know when to describe and advise hospice and palliative care to patients", from 22 (28.9%) to 65 (85.6%; P≤0.001). Conclusion: This study showed that comprehensive hospice education in the form of an integrated educational course might promote changes in medical students' knowledge and attitudes toward hospice and palliative medicine.

The purpose of the present study is to analyze curriculums in colleges operating a department related to medical information in Korea and to propose the roles of medical information professionals, medical information professionals qualifying examination and a plan to raise medical information specialists demanded in the field. In addition, this study purposed to suggest establishing programs for job training and supplementary education of medical information professionals through sharing contents among colleges. For these purposes, this study proposed a plan to construct the infrastructure of Internet-based domestic medical information and education network for the service of integrated medical information system standardized centering on the Healthcare Information Center.

건강과 의료에 관심이 높아지면서 의료수요는 날로 증가하게 되었고 이에 따르는 의료분쟁 또한 증가하는 추세이다. 본의 아니게 발생한 의료사고는 의료분쟁으로 발전하게 되는데 과실과 악결과 그리고 이에 따르는 인과관계와 책임여부를 따지게 된다. 이를 규명하기 위해서는 의료인은 주의의무와 설명의무를 잘 수행했는지와 환자 또한 의무를 잘 수행했는지를 평가하게 된다. 일단 의료분쟁이 생기지 않도록 최선의 진료와 환자와의 대화가 요구되며 분쟁시 화해, 조정, 소송 등으로 해결하며 이 과정 각각에서의 준비와 대책을 세워야 할 것이다. 현재의 상황에서 언제 어디서 일어날지 모르는 의료분쟁을 방지하려면 진료기술의 숙련도를 높이고 발전하는 새로운 의학 정보를 얻는데 게으르지 말아야하며 특히 환자를 대하는데 진단, 치료과정, 치료의 후유증, 위험성에 관한 자세한 설명을 통하여 환자 스스로 결정할 수 있는 의료환경이 요구되며 가장 기본적인 의료기록부 작성에 관심을 가져야 할것이다.

The purpose of this study was to develop a dental communication course in dental hygiene schools that included theory, practice, and skill for effective dental communication. Thirty-six senior dental hygiene students in a dental hygiene school took a dental communication course and responded to a questionnaire. The instrument used in the study was a modified form of Kim's communication skill self-assessment sheet. The self-assessment questionnaire about communication competencies was administered before and after the class, and the difference between scores at each time point was analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank sum test. Among seven elements of dental communication competencies, the competency of "information gathering" was significantly improved (p=0.008). Students' scores on perception of the importance (p=0.019) and necessity (0.016) of a communication course significantly increased after the course. Competencies in communication are essential requirement for dental hygienists. This study showed the possibility of communication skill training. An objective evaluation tool regarding students' communication competencies should be developed. Further studies with larger samples size are needed to develop a standardized comprehensive communication course in dental hygiene schools.
