  • The kidney is a rare site of ectopic adrenal adenoma. To the best of our knowledge, some cases of ectopic adrenal adenoma have been found in the kidney, but few of these cases explain the CT and MRI findings of the lesion. We reported a case of ectopic adrenal adenoma in the left renal sinus. A 47-year-old male patient underwent abdominal CT for routine health check-ups, which revealed a 1.2 cm enhancing mass in the left renal sinus. The MRI showed a signal drop of the mass in T1 weighted in- and opposed-phase, which indicates fat components. The mass was confirmed as an ectopic adrenal adenoma after surgery.

  • Liver injury is a common consequence of blunt abdominopelvic trauma. Contrast-enhanced CT allows for the rapid detection and evaluation of liver injury. The treatment strategy for blunt liver injury has shifted from surgical to nonoperative management, which has been widely complemented by interventional management to treat both liver injury and its complications. In this article, we review the major imaging features of liver injury and the role of interventional management for the treatment of liver injury.

  • Lymphomatoid granulomatosis (LG) is a rare B-cell type angiocentric lymphoproliferative disease that can progress to extranodal lymphoma with high mortality. It most commonly affects the lungs, although extrapulmonary systems, including the brain and skin, can also be involved. LG in pediatric patients has been very rarely reported in the literature with limited imaging features. Herein, we report a pediatric case of LG involving the lung and brain with characteristic imaging findings.

  • Endosalpingiosis is a condition that causes the non-neoplastic proliferation of ectopic tubal epithelium. Florid cystic endosalpingiosis is an atypical subtype that is very rarely reported. It presents as a mass-like feature and therefore needs to be differentiated from tumorous conditions. Here, we report the imaging findings of a case of multicentric florid cystic endosalpingiosis in the extraperitoneal pelvic cavity and the retroperitoneal spaces.

  • Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related disease is a systemic fibro-inflammatory disease characterized by pathologic findings in various organs. Imaging is critical for the diagnosis and treatment assessment of patients with IgG4-related disease. In this pictorial essay, we review the key features of multiple imaging modalities, typical pathologic findings, and differential diagnosis of IgG4-related disease. This systematic pictorial review can further our understanding of the broad-spectrum manifestations of this disease.

  • Primary masses rarely originate from the heart and great vessels, and a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor (MPNST) is extremely rare. A 76-year-old male with pleural effusion underwent contrast-enhanced computed tomography, which revealed a hypoattenuating mass involving the right pulmonary vein and left atrium. Ultrasonography showed that the mass originated from the right pulmonary vein. Surgical resection confirmed an MPNST that originated from the pulmonary vein. We report the first Korean case of a primary MPNST originating from the pulmonary vein. We have also described the radiologic findings suggestive of a pulmonary vein mass.

  • Acupuncture is increasingly being used in Asian countries and is generally considered a relatively safe procedure. However, adverse events have been reported consistently. Therefore, clinicians should be aware of the possibility of acupuncture-related complications and should actively treat serious cases. We report a case of an acupuncture-induced large abscess in the retroperitoneal cavity and thigh muscles treated with percutaneous catheter drainage, surgical incision, and drainage.

  • Tuberculous pericarditis is an extrapulmonary manifestation of tuberculosis that is most commonly associated with pericardial thickening, effusion, and calcification. We present a case of tuberculous pericarditis mimicking a malignant pericardial tumor in a 77-year-old male. CT revealed an irregular and nodular pericardial thickening. MRI revealed high signal intensity on T1-weighted fat-suppressed images and peripheral rim enhancement after gadolinium administration. MRI can be helpful in determining the differential diagnoses in cases of tuberculous pericarditis with nonspecific imaging findings.

  • In general, neuroendocrine cancer develops in the digestive or respiratory tract, and when it is found in other organs, it is often due to metastasis. Primary neuroendocrine carcinoma of the breast occurs very rarely, and the exact clinical picture, radiological findings, treatment and prognosis are not well known. Furthermore, only a small number of literature reports have been published. Here, we report the imaging findings of primary neuroendocrine carcinoma in the breast of a 51-year-old female, along with a literature review.

  • Nuclear portein in testis (NUT) midline carcinoma is a very rare and low-differentiating malignant epithelial tumor that differentiates very aggressively and has poor prognosis. NUT midline carcinoma occurring in the lungs in particular can be confused with other cancers because few cases have been reported in Korea to date and can show various histological forms. Reports of radiology findings are very rare worldwide. Here we report the imaging findings of pulmonary NUT midline carcinoma in a 25-year-old female along with pathological findings.
