인쇄용어 통일에 관한 연구(5)-틀리기 쉬운 종이용어

  • 인쇄관련 언론매체를 보면 놀랍게도 일본어로 표기된 단어를 많이 발견할 수 있다. 하리코미, 베타, 고마, 돔보, 도지, 구와에, 돈땡, 모루동, 후렉소, 아지로, 도무송, 싸바리, 단보루 등이 대표적으로 많이 쓰이고 있다. 또한 일본어를 음역하여 견당, 습수, 정합, 노광, 타발, 사양, 중철, 소부, 돗판, 매엽, 하지, 상지 등 우리말에도 없는 것을 계속 사용하고 있다. 이에 박도영 전 교육인적자원부교과서심의위원이 정리한 인쇄용어통일에 대한 연구를 정리.연재한다.

<3>인쇄매체에 잘못 표기되는 외래어 언제까지 이대로 둘것인가

  • 인쇄관련 언론매체를 보면 놀랍게도 일본어로 표기된 단어를 많이 발견할 수 있다. 하리꼬미, 베다, 고마, 돔보, 도지, 구와에, 돈땡, 모루동, 후렉소, 아지로, 도무송, 싸바리, 단보루 등이 대표적으로 많이 쓰이고 있다. 필자는 자신들의 영역에서 외래어를 순화하지 않고 사용하는 것을 보면서 안타까움을 금할 수 없다. 또한 일본어를 음역하여 견당, 습수, 정합, 노광, 타발, 사양, 중철, 소부, 돗판, 매엽, 하지, 상지 등 우리말에도 없는 것을 계속 사용하고 있는 것은 가슴아픈 일이다. 뿐만 아니라 영문 발음과 한글 표기가 정확하지 않은 것도 많다. 이에 시급히 바꾸어야 할 용어를 정리해 본다.

The Correlation Between Speech Reception Threshold and Pure Tone Audiometry (어음청취역치와 순음청력검사의 상관관계에 관한 연구)

  • Speech reception threshold is a base for word discrimination testing, but it also serves as a check for the reliability of pure tone audiogram. In order to investigate the correlation between SRT and PTA these tests were carried out in patients with conductive hearing loss and normal hearing, using Grason-Stadler 1702 Audiometer. The results were as follows; 1) The difference between the scores of SRT and PTA's was 2.4 dB with a range of -3.3 dB∼+8.3 dB in conductive hearing loss, and was 1.9 dB with a range of -6.7 dB∼+5 dB in normal hearing group. 2) The difference between the scores of SRT and each speech frequency of PTA was 6 dB at 500 Hz, 3 dB at 1,000 Hz and 8.8 dB at 2,000 Hz in conductive hearing loss, and 3 dB at 500Hz, 2 dB at 1,000Hz, and 5dB at 2,000Hz in normal hearing group.

Analysis on Children's Songs Utilized in New-Song-Learning Activities in Early Childhood Education (유아교사가 새노래 지도에 사용하는 동요 분석)

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the repertoires of children's songs that early childhood teachers used for new-song-learning activities and to analyze the characteristics of frequently used songs. 120 early childhood teachers in South Korea were recruited to gather the repertoires of children's songs during January and February, 2021. And then, 20 most frequently used songs were selected and analyzed in genre, theme, tonality, meter, musical form, and tone range. SPSS ver. 25.0 was used to calculate the means, standard deviations, frequencies, and percentages. As results, the most frequently used five songs were 'Autumn Road,' 'Winter Wind,' 'Scarecrow Man,' 'Watermelon Party,' and 'Cosmos.' The results of analyses of 20 frequently used songs revealed that the creative songs as genre, seasons as theme, C major as tonality, 4/4 as meter, and ternary form as musical form, and c' - c" along with c' - d" as tone range were the mostly used.

  • This research presents a laboratory study about a comparison between two methods that measure a hearing threshold of the Subjects who participated in an experiment of the Jury test. The Subjects heard a signal by a headphone. The Subjects of total 63 persons (man=42, woman=21 persons) participated in an experiment. A test of hearing was divided into two (Top-Down, Bottom-Up) methods. Total time of hearing test was about 80 minute(40min/day). As a results of the hearing test, a hearing threshold of the Subjects who used to wear a headphone was higher than that of the Subjects who not used to wear a headphone. A hearing threshold of a man was higher than that of a woman. The result of hearing test was showed that ISO's hearing threshold(MAF) was lower than a result that get from an experiment.

  • Natural language query is the best user interface for the users of web text retrieval systems. This paper proposes a retrieval system with expanded keyword from syntactically-analyzed structures of user's natural language query based on natural language processing technique. Through the steps combining or splitting the compound nouns based on syntactic tree traversal, and expanding the other-formed or shorten-formed keyword into multiple keyword, it shows that precision and correctness of the retrieval system was enhanced.

  • This study made an analysis of the characteristics of vibration & tone color of the piano strings on which a concentrated mass was set to give variety of different variations to the gamut. Theoretical analyses in this study were based on discrete and continuous system, of which the former was transformed into a multi-degree of freedom system by dividing into a number of small parts, while the latter utilized mode summation and Laplace transformation methods. And experiments were carried out with setting concentrated masses on upright piano string.

  • 본 연구에서는 경음기 본래의 사용 목적인 안전운행을 저해하지 않으면서 사용할 수 잇는 보다 혐오감이 덜한 음질의 경적음을 도출하고자 국내에서 생산, 유통되고 있는 경음기의 현황 파악 및 종류별 경적음의 특성을 분석하고, 이들의 단음과 복합음을 녹음.재생하면서 상호간에 대한 주관적 반응을 설문 조사하여 경음기 1개 장착시 단음 피크치의 음역별 음질과 2개 장착시의 복합음 음질개선을 위한 적정 주파수범위를 도출하고자 하였다. 그리고 자동차 생산공장에 출장하여 차량에 장착된 경음기의 경적음 특성을 분석하여, 그 음량의 크기와 dB(A) 및 dB(C)의 차이와 국내.외 자동차의 경적음에 대한 관리 및 규제 기준을 수집, 분석하여, 소음진동규제법과 한국공업규격에 서로 다르게 규정하고 있는 평가단위를 통일하고자 하였다.

  • 소프라노는 여성 소프라노 중 가장 높은 음역 대의 목소리를 구사한다. 소프라노들은 고음을 유지하기 위해 턱 관절 과 얼굴근육이 경직되어 있어 입을 크게 벌리지 못한다. 발음 특성은 발성 시의 입의 크기에 가장 큰 영향을 받으며 좋은 발음 특성일수록 뚜렷한 포만트를 나타낸다. 본 논문에서는 소프라노 가수들의 발음 특성을 확인하기 위해 한국의 소프라노 성악가 A, B, C, D 4명을 선정하여 비교한 결과 소프라노 A의 스펙트럼에서 2kHz 이상에서 까지 뚜렷하고 균일한 포만트가 나타났다. 따라서 소프라노 A의 발음 특성이 가장 우수한 것을 확인할 수 있다.

Effect of Therapeutic and Educational strategies using music on improvement of auditory information processing and short-term memory skills for children with underachievement (학습부진아의 청각정보처리와 단기기억력 향상을 위한 음악의 치료적·교육적 접근)

  • Being engaged in the musical tasks needs cognitive skills to perceive musical sound, organize them into meaningful unit, store them in the memory and retrieve them when needed. These skills are also required for academic tasks indicating that there is positive correlation between skills for musical and academic tasks. Based on these findings, the study purported to examine whether the developed sessions can enhance cognitive skills which is composed of auditory information skills, which is composed of perceiving sounds, organizing them into groups based on the existing information or organization pattern, and short-term memory skills. Eighteen elementary students in 4, 5, and 6th grades have participated in the study. The study has administered Music Cognitive Skills Test(MCST) before and after implementing music therapy sessions. The MCST consisted of five parts, first one measuring the rhythm imitating skills, second, measuring the melodic imitation skills, third, measuring discriminative skills in identifying higher pitch, fourth, measuring discriminative skills in identifying identical chords, and lastly, measuring the tone retention skills. The results indicated that there was statistical difference between the pre and post test in rhythm and melody imitation skills. Because reproduction of perceived rhythm patterns requires memory skills, imitating patterns are considered cognitive skills. Also melody is defined adding spatial dimension to the rhythm which is temporal concept. Being able to understand melodic pattern and to reproduce the pattern also requires cognitive skills. The subjects have shown significant improvement in these two areas. In other areas, there were definite increase of scores, however, no significant differences. The study also explores interpretation of these results and also observed consistencies among the participants in completing the musical tasks.
