Recently, demands for leisure and performing arts are increasing. In perspective of enjoying culture away from every day life, interests for music festival are also growing. Music festival industry has been grown rapidly since the mid 2000s and it has become popular culture especially for younger generation. As music festival culture becomes popular, music festival becomes bigger and a number of participants are rising continuously. However, some services which music festivals provide are not interactive. So, it makes difficult users to feel festival experience and to satisfy. Although some festivals are trying to deal with things through mobile applications, those in the market showed weaknesses. Therefore, this study aims to suggest some improvements for music festival application through user research. As the result of user study, improvements and functions of music festival application were deducted.

This study examines the morphological and expressive aspects of fashion and its connection to music at Korean music festivals. The research involves a theoretical review and a case study analyzing fashion and music at rock, EDM, hip-hop, and jazz festivals in Korea from 2019 to 2023. The process of selecting fashion cases was reviewed by experts in the field of fashion, and expert focus group interviews were used. The study found that while fashion and music differ in terms of their fundamental morphological components of sensory media, they share features in terms of sensory harmony between their components. In terms of expressive aspects of fashion, it was found that the subject and object of expression are the same for the artist and for the audience. Both music and fashion have sensory transmission and communication between the subject and the audience, and both transmit personal and social meaning. Using these commonalities as indicators of relevance, a relevance evaluation was conducted. As a result of the evaluation, popular music festival fashion and music were interpreted as having a high degree of relevance in terms of expressing emotions and tastes, providing a sense of belonging to a community, and conveying cultural meaning.

The purpose of this study is to examine the patterns of deviation in urban music festival through the theories and a case study. A deviation help contemporary people in the routine of daily life to give a lot of energy. Such a deviation is strongly experienced from the festival. So it is important to study the patterns of deviation in urban festival. For this purpose, the relation between deviation and festival is examined first. And then the patterns of deviation in festival are drawn from the preceding research and case studies. The patterns of deviation in festival are identified as spatio-temporal deviation, active deviation, and situational deviation. Spatio-temporal deviation is divided into non-dailiness, space separation, and space appropriation. Active deviation is divided into make-over and expression. Situational deviation is divided into overturning and new meeting. This patterns of deviation applies to case study of ACC world music festival held in Gwangju metropolitan city with a content analysis methodology. The research finding is that Spatio-temporal deviation is most evident in ACC world music festival, on the other hand active deviation and situational deviation are weak or no evident. It is expected that various deviant elements presented in this study will be used strategically in festival planning to help strengthen the festivity of modern urban festivals.

제7회 서울와우북페스티벌이 지난 9월 28일부터 10월 3일까지 6일간 홍익대 주차장거리와 갤러리, 북카페 등에서 개최됐다. 이번 축제의 주제는 '책에, 취하다'로 문화체육관광부(장관 최광식)의 지원으로 약 100여개의 출판사가 축제에 참여했다. 10월 1일에 열린 개막 행사는 국내 최초의 기상캐스터 출신 방송인 이익선 씨의 사회로 김묵원 작가의 동양화 기법을 타 장르와 유기적으로 결합한 드로잉 퍼포먼스와 인디가수 '박솔'의 공연 등이 어우러져 화려한 개막 공연이 펼쳐졌다. 10월 2일에는 한국 캘리그래피의 개척자인 이상현 작가가 어쿠스틱 밴드 송 브리즈와 협연하여 캘리그래피와 음악의 조화를 보여줬다. 그 외 아트워크 집단인 '마스터 브릿지', 싱어송라이터 '양창근' 등이 공연을 펼쳤다. 거리 행사 마지막 날인 10월 3일에는 마포구 지역의 예술가들이 로컬 콘서트를 열어 마포구만의 특색 있는 공언을 선보였다.

This study investigated the meaning of absolute music of the first movement of Brahms' symphony No. 1, which was used as film music in the films "Tetro" and "Savages" and interpreted the meaning of this music used in these two films. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics that classical music can be interpreted ambiguously in films. In particular, it was examined whether film music could be interpreted in a new meaning rather than a program music. The first movement of Brahms' symphony No. 1 is in a sonata form and has the characteristics of a chromatic grammar of the romanticism. In "Tetro", the irony about the value connection between this music and the characters of the film, the composition process of this music and the historicity that appeared in the character story of the film presented important. On the other hand, in "Savages", the chromatic grammar of this music expresses the emotional meaning of the characters in the film and the atmosphere of the event. This can be said to be the role of program music. In particular, the scene in which this music is used at the end of "Tetro" shows an ambiguous characteristic that can interpret a piece of music in different meanings depending on which of the two characters appearing in the film interprets the music from the perspective of the character. And the fact that Brahms spent 21 years to complete this music and that Tetro, the main character of the film, spent about 10 years before going through theatrical scenario and submitting it to the festival in the film, coincide with each other in terms of historicality. This gives the meaning of understanding film music from a new point of view, not from the point of view of absolute music or program music. In addition, this musical setting made the music recognized as an essential element of the film and as an irreplaceable auditory theme. When classical music meets other art such as film, this ambiguity Characteristics of music will have a great influence on the new perception of classical music.

This paper presents an investigation into the development of a fabric electronics based smart bag for festival users of the 2029 generation with customizable tech flaps (music media control/ LED animated graphic functions) based on the application of traditional Korean patterns and goblin patterns in an electric circuit. The investigator took into consideration functional and design strategies to enable custom service according to users' tastes and situations. Based on these considerations, a customizable smart bag platform was proposed in a detachable module based on a computer embroidery machine. The study is significant in that it developed a product that is different from the old PCB smart products in hard form and proposed a new business model.

In contemporary performance arts, we can see diverse types of performances that use advanced technology and visual media. It is notable that animation based on narratives and images, is grafted on to performance arts. Cases emerge that introduce animation in opera performances as part of a new stagecraft. Regietheater that turns on directors' interpretation, has been expanded in full scale through major music festivals and theaters through many different attempts to embody. In this state, recently visual media have been actively employed in opera performances. It has led to expansion of time and space along with more attempts. Not least of all, introduction of animation has been conducive to reinforcing functionality of opera performances in many aspects. This study suggests requirements for ideal Regietheater production in opera performances. For this end, the functions of animation strategically used are evaluated through analyzing $Zauberfl{\ddot{o}}te$)> production of Komische Oper Berlin. Through this research, this study is to look deeply into effects created from new and different attempts by grafting animation on to opera performances.
