In this paper, we introduce an interface for exploring music using emotional model. First, we survey arousal-valence factors of various music and calculate a correlation between audio fefatures of music and arousal-valence factors to build an AV model. Then, various music is aligned and arranged using the AV model and the user can explore music in this interface. To select the desired music more intuitively, we introduce new fade in/out function based on the location of the user's mouse point. We also offer several mode of selecting music so user can explore music using most suitable mode of interface. With our interface, the user can find the emotionally desired music more easily.

시각장애자들이 음악을 듣고 음악에 대한 공부를 하기 위해서는 점자악보를 통하여서만이 가능하다. 그러나 이러한 점자악보를 만들기 위해서는 점역사를 통한 주문제작 방법 밖에는 없는 실정이다. 국내의 몇 안되는 점역사를 통해서 한곡의 점자악보를 얻기까지는 한달여의 기간과 많은 비용이 든다. 이러한 열악할 환경으로 인하여 시각장애자들이 음악을 공부하거나 전공하기에는 너무나 힘들 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 시각장애자들이 음악을 접할 수 있고 공부할 수 있도록 시간적, 비용적 측면에서 도움을 주기 위한 점자악보 생성 컴파일러에 대한 구현 내용을 기술한다. 점자악보 생성기는 기존의 컴퓨터에서 음악을 듣기위한 미디 파일을 입력으로 받아들여 점자 편집기에서 점자 변환에 사용되는 아스키 코드로 출력하여 시각장애자가 원하는 곡의 점자악보를 받는데 드는 비용과 시간을 절약할수 있도록 도와준다.

Many scholars, clinicians and faculties of music therapy have dealt various issues on educational and clinical curricula for training music therapists. Depending on the philosophical orientations of educational institutes, the emphasis are different. The purpose of this paper is to examine and identify the areas for competency for gaining qualification in music therapy by reviewing the definitions of music therapy from the academic and professional perspectives; discipline-based, practice-based, and intrapersonal competency. The unique characteristics of music therapy as a professional discipline should be reflected in its curriculum and training content. Educational strategies need to be formulated to strengthen intrapersonal competency. The paper also discussed the consequential gains accordant with intrapersonal competency such as personal self-help skills using musical resources and coping with burnouts.

This research studied how idol music popularity influences on equilibrium of ecosystem in Korean popular music market. Because most of media & press reported that idol music caused unbalance of whole market so this research issued it. Research method is borrowed production of cultural perspective of Peterson and subject of analysis is selected idol music from Melon weekly music chart(2000-2014), which is No. 1 digital music distributor. The result showed idol music did not bring unbalance of ecosystem structure in Korean polular music market and found it contributed diversity of music genre in music market by introducing various musical style all the more. This kind of untested information should not cause idol music production leading new Korean Wave to shrink. Government related organization has to do policy making based on verified fact in future and it should be handled as important matter for sustainable and expansive reproduction of Korean wave.

Music has been created and played in various environments over a long time, with each piece having distinct sentiments and stories. Different people can have varying interpretations of one song depending on their viewpoints shaped by personal experiences and attitudes. In fact, the audience's understanding may differ greatly from the songwriter's intended message. Knowing this, music can serve as a reflection of one's contemporary sentiment. In the works of art such as music, the creator's intention becomes the background of the work or, sometimes, the main meaning. However, given that popular music is often under the control of companies and distributors and influenced by "capital," creators are required to adjust to mainstream preferences and, therefore, cannot fully express themselves in their music. On the other hand, indie music allows creators to pursue their own music given its "independence" from capital. With this, this study aims to collect and analyze data on the activities that Korean indie bands carry out, and examine their meaning and significance in society.

So far, many researches have been done to retrieve music information using static classification descriptors such as genre and mood. Since static classification descriptors are based on diverse content-based musical features, they are effective in retrieving similar music in terms of such features. However, human emotion or mood transition triggered by music enables more effective and sophisticated query in music retrieval. So far, few works have been done to evaluate the effect of human mood transition by music. Using formal representation of such mood transitions, we can provide personalized service more effectively in the new applications such as music recommendation. In this paper, we first propose our Emotion State Transition Model (ESTM) for describing human mood transition by music and then describe a music classification and recommendation scheme based on the ESTM. In the experiment, diverse content-based features were extracted from music clips, dimensionally reduced by NMF (Non-negative Matrix Factorization, and classified by SVM (Support Vector Machine). In the performance analysis, we achieved average accuracy 67.54% and maximum accuracy 87.78%.

This paper proposes a new strategy of emotion-based music visualization. Emotional LED lighting control system is suggested to help audiences enhance the musical experience. In the system, emotion in music is recognized by a proposed algorithm using a dimensional approach. The algorithm used a method of music emotion variation detection to overcome some weaknesses of Thayer's model in detecting emotion in a one-second music segment. In addition, IRI color model is combined with Thayer's model to determine LED light colors corresponding to 36 different music emotions. They are represented on LED lighting control system through colors and animations. The accuracy of music emotion visualization achieved to over 60%.

In general, we thought only composers can compose musics. And now we should have opportunities to make some musics by Computer Music System which called 'MIDI', but the composition is still unfamiliar to non musician men or women. In this report, we exhibit the possibility of the auto code composition by computer program which should make non musician men or women to composers.

The appearance of the computer composition system(MIDI) expects that non-musicians can make musics easily, but, in fact, non-musicians still compose hard. This thesis shows that a computer makes lord progress through a database, which in-putted all practicable cord progress. In other words, non-musicians just makes some melodies over the settled cord progress, so they can make a music more easely.

랩 음악은 장르 특성상 곡에서 가사의 중요성이 매우 크고, 가사 전달을 리듬 중심으로 하기 때문에 가사의 리듬, 운율이 부각된다. 랩 음악 가사의 내용과 운율에 대해 살펴보기 위해 지난 10년간 랩 음악 장르에서 전 세계적으로 가장 큰 인기를 얻고 있는 작사가 겸 가수Drake 와 Lil Wayne 의 곡 23곡을 선정하여 그 내용과 가사 운율을 살펴본다. 내용은 공통적으로 과시를 가장 많이 사용하였으며, 사랑, 유흥 등의 가사에서는 두 작사가의 차이를 보였다. 운율은 두 작사가 모두 규칙적 운율을 주로 사용하였으며, 그 안에 여러 가지 방법을 통해 불규칙성을 더했고, 그 방법을 사용하는 빈도가 다름으로서 운율 사용방식의 차이점을 보였다.
