The purposes of this study are to develop scientific-inquiry based on STEAM education program and to investigate the effects of the program on middle-school students' interests, self-efficacy, and career choice about science, technology/engineering, and mathematics. In order to develop this program, the literature investigation and previous studies were conducted, so that finally the developmental direction was based on scientific inquiry and the developmental theme and model were selected. A total 92 first-graders in G middle-school of Daegu city were participated in this study. A single group pre-post test paired t-test was conducted to figure out changes of students' interest, self-efficacy, and career choices before or after applying this program. In addition, in-depth interviews were conducted with 14 students to find their specific responses. The results of this study were as follows. First, STEAM education program on the theme of 'RC Airplane' was developed on the basis of the 'ADBA' model. Second, the developed STEAM educational program not only results a decisive difference statistically but also has significant effects on middle-school students' interests, self-efficacy, and career choice in science, technology/engineering, and mathematics, who are involved in the free-semester program, across the overall affective domain. In conclusion, the STEAM educational program in this study could affect significant meanings to middle-school students during the free-semester. It could contribute to facilitate middle-school students' education for happiness and to grow the creative STEAM talents.

The purpose of this study is to examine an influence of university students' major satisfaction on career preparation behavior and the mediating effect of openness to diversity. The survey questionnaire was distributed to 182 university students and SPSS 23.0, AMOS 23.0 program was used for statistical analysis of the data. The results of this study are as follows: First, major satisfaction has a positive effect on openness to diversity and career preparation behavior. Second, openness to diversity has a positive effect on career preparation behavior. Third, openness to diversity has a partiall mediating effect between major satisfaction and career preparation behavior. These results show that the more students enhance their major satisfaction and openness to diversity, the more students enhance their career preparation behavior.

The purpose of this study was to identify the influence the depression and social maladjustment in adolescence of multi_cultural families. The participants were 211 adolescents in multicultural family. The data were collected using a self-report questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using hierarchical regression with the SPSS 23.0 program. The stress, career maturity and authoritarian caring attitude had a significant impact on depression(F=13.77, p<.001). The stress, authoritarian caring attitude, negative impact and resilience, career maturity, cultural diversity attitude, open communication, parents' support showed positive impact on social maladaptation(F=13.77, p<.001). This study contributes an integrated understanding of adolescents in multicultural family. And the findings was provided basic data for the development of intervention program on depression and social maladjustment for adolescents in multicultural family.

This study investigates, 1) the predicting career attitudes of multicultural youth, 2) the aim was to provide evidence-based data on career and policy development. A survey for a total of 1,335 multicultural youth and data were analyzed by data-mining decision tree with SPSS 23.0. The main findings are as follows. First, female students showed satisfaction in life, self-esteem and support for mothers' career. Second, In boys, self-esteem was the most important. Based on these results, it contains suggestions for career development for multicultural youth.

This study was to conducted to explore predictors of emotional labor of clinical practice and resilience on professional identity in nursing students. The data were collected from September to December, 2021, for 142 nursing students in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. Satisfaction of major showed statistically significant differences in professional identity (F=19.97, p<.001). Professional identity was positively associated with resilience (r=.30, p<.001) and negatively associated with emotional labor (r=-.35, p<.001). Multiple regression analyses showed that satisfaction of major and emotional labor were statistically significant (𝛽=-.268, p<.001) in predicting professional identity with the explanatory power of 29.3%. To enhance professional identity in nursing students, it is necessary to develop strategies to improve their satisfaction of major and to provide educational programs for coping skill in managing their emotional labor in clinical practice.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Grit and Self-elasticity on Carrer Identity of nursing students. Data were collected among 193 nursing students in G city, from Sep 4 to 15 2023. The collected data was analyzed a using t-test, One way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient and Stepwise multiple regression using SPSS 20.0 WIN program. The results revealed that the average score for Self-elasticity was 3.42±0.45, Grit was 3.63±0.60, Carrer Identity was 4.06±0.79. students acquired Self-elasticity by gender as per general characteristics. The Carrer Identity showed statistically significant differences in gender. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between the Carrer Identity of Self-elasticity(r=.370, p=.000), and Grit(r=.283, p=.000). Carrer Identity showed Models including the variables, Self-elasticity, Gender, Grit explained 22.6% of the variance in the Carrer Identity stress. Based on the outcome of this study, steps should be taken to design intervention program that emphasize a improve Carrer Identity for nursing students.

This study aims to examine the cases of overseas experience programs centered around middle school students in South Korea and to derive implications for future overseas experience programs. To achieve this, data were systematically collected through search engines based on keywords, followed by comparative analysis. Frequency analysis, independent sample t-tests, and cross-analysis were conducted using SPSS 23. The research findings are as follows: First, the programs are operated nationwide, with a focus on smaller schools in various regions, and are particularly active in the Jeolla provinces. Diverse public funding, such as from the board of education and local governments, has been invested, categorizing operational costs into full financial coverage among others. The programs primarily took place in Southeast Asian countries close to South Korea. Second, the purposes of these middle school overseas experience programs largely encompass career exploration, cultural experiences, tourism, and sister school visits. We hope that school-based overseas career exploration programs are actively operated to provide opportunities for enhancing global competence and global citizenship, as well as exploring career paths.

This study was attempted to improve the mental and psychological health of nursing students through the intervention of positive psychological programs using complementary alternative therapy. This study applied a Non-equivalent control group pre-test and post-test design to verify the effects of negative emotions, career decision making self-efficacy, self-compassion, and flourish in nursing students. The experimental group is the students who received the positive psychology program using complementary and alternative therapy, and the control group is the students who did not receive the program. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS Version 21.0 program. The experimental group showed higher career decision making self-efficacy, self-compassion, and flourish scores and lower negative emotion scores than the control group that did not participate in the education. After applying the positive psychology program using complementary and alternative therapy, it contributed to the expansion of the nursing intervention area using complementary and alternative therapy by reporting positive research effects on career decision making self-efficacy, self-compassion, and flourish.

This study aims to provide basic data for the development of educational methods and programs to raise the level of career preparation behaviors of nursing college freshmen by identifying the effects of major satisfaction, time management, and self-efficacy on career preparation behaviors. Data collection was carried out for convenience from October 18 to October 31, 2021, targeting 255 freshmen students of the nursing department at universities located in J and G metropolitan cities. The collected data were analyzed by real number, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 20.0 program. Career preparation behavior showed a positive correlation with major satisfaction, time management, and self-efficacy. As a factor influencing career preparation behavior, time management behavior was the most influential factor, and the total explanatory power was 18.8%. As a result of this study, it is necessary to develop and provide a time management program for nursing students to develop time management skills from freshman.

This study tries to examine the effect of parents' neglect on career identity, and prove the meditating effect of experience satisfaction and school adjustment between the two variables in the times of convergence. For the study, the data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey was analyzed by utilizing the path analysis, and the number of subjects was 391 adolescents. The results are as follows: First, parents' neglect influenced negatively career identity. Second, experience satisfaction and school adjustment had a positive effect on experience satisfaction. Third, parents' neglect directly influenced career identity and its' effect was indirectly mediated by the subjects's experience satisfaction and school adjustment. Therefore, the result of the study can be utilized for theoretical implication and foundation for developing programs to increase career identity.
