Study on the Velocity Trajectory for High Speed and High Precision Machining of CNC Machines (CNC 공작기계의 고속 고정밀 가공을 위한 모서리 속도궤적 연구)

  • This paper proposes a method to generate the velocity trajectory which guarantees user specified contour errors at corners for high speed and high precision motion control of CNC machines. The relation among the desired trajectory, system bandwidth and corner contour error are derived. Experiments show that the corner contour error specified by users can be guaranteed with the proposed velocity trajectory.

  • In order to design a high-performance controller with excellent positioning and tracking performance, an optimal tuning method based on the integrated design concept is studied. DOBs, feedforward controllers and CCC are applied to control the bi-axial linear servomechanism. To derive accurate dynamic models of mechanical subsystems equipped with linear servos for the integrated tuning, system identification processes are conducted through the sine sweeping. An optimal tuning problem with stability, robustness and overshoot constraints is formulated as a nonlinear constrained optimization problem. Optimal gains are obtained through the SQP method. Experimental results confirm that both tracking and contouring errors are significantly reduced by applying the proposed controller and integrated tuning method.

  • In this paper, the optimal tuning of a cross-coupled controller linked with the feedforward controller is studied to reduce contouring and tracking errors of a bi-axial servomechanisms by using the previously developed integrated tuning method. The CCC system for an arbitrary curve, which is combined with the feedforward controller, is formulated by a state-space based on a series of linear motion trajectories. An optimal tuning problem is formulated as a nonlinear constrained optimization problem including relevant controller parameters of the servo. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed optimal tuning procedure, linear and circular motion experiments are performed on the xy-table. Experimental results confirm that both tracking and contouring errors are significantly reduced by applying the proposed control and tuning system.

  • In general, several moving regions with different motions coexist in a block located on motion boundaries in the block-based motion estimation. In this case the motion compensation error(MCEs) are different with the moving regions. This is inclined to deteriorate the quality of motion compensated images because of the inaccurate motions estimated from the conventional mean absolute error(MAE) based matching function in which the matching error per pixel is accumulate throughout the block. In this paper, we divided a block into the regions according to their motions using the motion information of the spatio-temporally neighboring blocks and calculate the average MCF for each moving mentioned. From the simulation results, we showed the improved performance of the proposed method by comparing the results from other methods such as the full search method and the edge oriented block matching algorithm. Especially, we improved the quality of the motion compensated images of blocks on motion boundaries.

  • Finding a technique to achieve high machining precision and high productivity is an important issue for CNC machining. One of the solutions to meet better performance of machining is feedrate control. In this paper we present an adaptive feedrate neuro-control method for high precision and high speed machining. The adaptive neuro-control architecture consists of a neural network identifier(NNI) and an iterative learning control algorithm with inversion of the NNI. The NNI is an identifier for the nonlinear characteristics of feedrate and contour error, which is utilized in iterative learning for adaptive feedrate control with specified contour error tolerance. The proposed neuro-control method has been successfully evaluated for machining circular, corner and involute contours by computer simulations.

Approximation Vertex Search of Polygon-based Shape Coding by the Type of Distortion Patterns (왜곡 패턴 유형에 의한 다각형 기반 형상 부호화의 근사 정점 탐색)

  • If we reduce the number of vertexes to decrease bit rate in polygon-based shape coding, the distortion of approximated contour increases rapidly. On the other hand, if we reduce the distortion, the number of vertexes increases rapidly and many bits are required to encode the vertexes. To improve this problem, in this paper we propose the approximation vertex search method. The encoder in the proposed method searches the type of distortion patterns that is the most similar to the shape which polygon edge and contour segment form and then encodes it. And then, the decoder mathematically finds the approximated vertexes from decoded distortion pattern information. Therefore, the proposed algorithm results in encoding many vertexes at a low bit rate and having the smoother shape than conventional method. As shown in computer simulation, the proposed method has less distortion than conventional method. It costs less bit rate by $10{\sim}20%$ than conventional algorithm in same distortion.

  • In this paper, wc proposed new method for corner point detection on digital contours using directional angle and area dcviation_ First of all, dircctional angle was detccted according to contours by lookup table, then corner point was detected using arca deviation aftcr the pixels over standard value had selected as a candidate point. This method has the advantage the rcduction of processing time for real time processing and the reduction of round-off error on digital image reprcsentation. For vcrification of the proposed method simulation results which applied on various tcst pattern were compared with existing methods.

  • In radiotherapy, accurate patient positioning and set up are important factor that treatment can influence success. In generally, the 3-laser system is used when the patient set up. But today the body surface scanning system(C-Rad system) is trying to use. Compare and evaluate the C-Rad system and the 3-laser system to check availability. Head and neck that are no movement of internal organs and easy to apply fixation device are limited. Alderson Rando anthropomorphic phantom and 10 patients who have lesions of head and neck are targeted. C-RAD system's setup error mean and standard deviation are the X axis($0.55{\pm}0.51mm$), Y axis($-0.2mm{\pm}0.523mm$), Z axis($-0.85{\pm}0.587mm$) in the phantom study, and in the patient study X axis($-0.05{\pm}0.621mm$), Y axis($0.075{\pm}0.755mm$) Z axis($-1.025{\pm}0.617mm$). So C-RAD system is better than 3-laser system mostly, but C-RAD system's error rate is a little worse than 3-laser system in the Z axis. When radiation treatment of head and neck, body surface contour scanning system contribute to correct positioning and minimize the set up error.

Pace and Facial Element Extraction in CCD-Camera Images by using Snake Algorithm (스네이크 알고리즘에 의한 CCD 카메라 영상에서의 얼굴 및 얼굴 요소 추출)

  • 최근 IT 산업이 급성장하면서 화상 회의, 게임, 채팅 등에서의 아바타(avatar) 제어를 위한 자연스러운 인터페이스 기술이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 동적 윤곽선 모델(active contour models; snakes)을 이용하여 복잡한 배경이 있는 컬러 CCD 카메라 영상에서 얼굴과 눈, 입, 눈썹, 코 등의 얼굴 요소에 대해 윤곽선을 추출하거나 위치를 파악하는 방법을 제안한다. 일반적으로 스네이크 알고리즘은 잡음에 민감하고 초기 모델을 어떻게 설정하는가에 따라 추출 성능이 크게 좌우되기 때문에 주로 단순한 배경의 영상에서 정면 얼굴의 추출에 사용되어왔다 본 연구에서는 이러한 단점을 파악하기 위해, 먼저 YIQ 색상 모델의 I 성분을 이용한 색상 정보와 차 영상 정보를 사용하여 얼굴의 최소 포함 사각형(minimum enclosing rectangle; MER)을 찾고, 이 얼굴 영역 내에서 기하학적인 위치 정보와 에지 정보를 이용하여 눈, 입, 눈썹, 코의 MER을 설정한다. 그런 다음, 각 요소의 MER 내에서 1차 미분과 2차 미분에 근거한 내부 에너지와 에지에 기반한 영상 에너지를 이용한 스네이크 알고리즘을 적용한다. 이때, 에지 영상에서 얼굴 주변의 복잡한 잡음을 제거하기 위하여 색상 정보 영상과 차 영상에 각각 모폴로지(morphology)의 팽창(dilation) 연산을 적용하고 이들의 AND 결합 영상에 팽창 연산을 다시 적용한 이진 영상을 필터로 사용한다. 총 7명으로부터 양 눈이 보이는 정면 유사 방향의 영상을 20장씩 취득하여 총 140장에 대해 실험한 결과, MER의 오차율은 얼굴, 눈, 입에 대해 각각 6.2%, 11.2%, 9.4%로 나타났다. 또한, 스네이크의 초기 제어점을 얼굴은 44개, 눈은 16개, 입은 24개로 지정하여 MER추출에 성공한 영상에 대해 스네이크 알고리즘을 수행한 결과, 추출된 영역의 오차율은 각각 2.2%, 2.6%, 2.5%로 나타났다.해서 Template-based reasoning 예를 보인다 본 방법론은 검색노력을 줄이고, 검색에 있어 Feasibility와 Admissibility를 보장한다.매김할 수 있는 중요한 계기가 될 것이다.재무/비재무적 지표를 고려한 인공신경망기법의 예측적중률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 로지스틱회귀 분석의 재무적 지표모형은 훈련, 시험용이 84.45%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형은 84.45%, 85.08%로서 거의 동일한 예측적중률을 가졌으나 인공신경망기법 분석에서는 재무적 지표모형이 92.23%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형에서는 91.12%, 88.06%로서 향상된 예측적중률을 나타내었다.ting LMS according to increasing the step-size parameter $\mu$ in the experimentally computed. learning curve.
