Implementation of 3D Video using Time-Shortening Algorithm (시간단축 알고리즘을 통한 3D 동영상 구현)

  • In this paper, we presents a new cone beam computerized tomography (CBCT) system for the reconstruction of 3 dimensional dynamic images. The system using cone beam has less the exposure of radioactivity than fan beam, relatively. In the system, the reconstruction 3-D image is reconstructed with the radiation angle of X-ray in the image processing unit and transmitted to the monitor. And in the image processing unit, the Three Pass Shear Matrices, a kind of Rotation-based method, is applied to reconstruct 3D image because it has less transcendental functions than the one-pass shear matrix to decrease a time of calculations for the reconstruction 3-D image in the processor. The new system is able to get 3~5 3-D images a second, reconstruct the 3-D dynamic images in real time. And we showed the Rotation-based method was good rather than existing reconstruction technique for 3D images, also found weakness and a solution for it.

  • Every year, the number of wild animals appearing in human settlements increases, resulting in increased damage to property and human life. In particular, the damage is more severe when wild animals appear on highways or farmhouses. To solve this problem, ecological pathways and guide fences are being installed on highways. In addition, in order to solve the problem in farms, horn repelling using sensors, installing a net, and repelling by smell of excrement are being used. However, these methods are expensive and their effectiveness is not high. In this paper, we used YOLO (You Only Look Once), an AI-based image analysis method, to analyze harmful animals in real time to reduce malfunctions, and high-brightness LEDs and ultrasonic frequency speakers were used as extermination devices. The speaker outputs an audible frequency that only animals can hear, increasing the efficiency to only exterminate wild animals. The proposed system is designed using a general-purpose board so that it can be installed economically, and the detection performance is higher than that of the devices using the existing sensor.

Clinical characteristics of adverse reaction to radiocontrast media in children - A single center experience (소아에서 방사선 조영제 유해반응의 임상적 특징)

  • Purpose: Radiocontrast media are widely used in medical imaging to improve diagnostic accuracy. However, studies on the adverse reactions of radiocontrast media in children are limited. We aimed to describe the characteristics of adverse reactions to radiocontrast media among children who had a computed tomography scan or magnetic resonance imaging in a tertiary university hospital. Methods: We retrospectively collected data on adverse reactions to radiocontrast media by the reporting system of a tertiary university hospital. We selected data from children under the age of 19 from July 2011 to December 2017 and analyzed their characteristics. We focused mainly on the characteristics of the index case which is defined by the first adverse event of each subject. Results: During the period, a total of 88,050 radiocontrast media-enhanced imaging studies were performed and 184 cases of adverse reactions were reported. A total of 71 were identified as index cases. Forty-nine (69.0%) were male and the mean age was $12.7{\pm}3.2$ years. The incidence of radiocontrast media-related adverse reactions was 0.09% and severe reactions were 0.002%. The most common clinical feature was skin manifestations (54.9%), followed by gastrointestinal symptoms (40.8%) and neuropsychiatric symptoms (7.4%). Conclusion: Adverse reactions to radiocontrast media rarely occur in children and the incidence of severe reactions is low. Most reactions are mild and are related to the skin and gastrointestinal system. This report would provide good evidence for establishing a management strategy in children scheduled for imaging studies using radiocontrast media.

Detection of Toluene Hazardous and Noxious Substances (HNS) Based on Hyperspectral Remote Sensing (초분광 원격탐사 기반 위험·유해물질 톨루엔 탐지)

  • The increased transport of marine hazardous and noxious substances (HNS) has resulted in frequent HNS spill accidents domestically and internationally. There are about 6,000 species of HNS internationally, and most of them have toxic properties. When an accidental HNS spill occurs, it can destroys the marine ecosystem and can damage life and property due to explosion and fire. Constructing a spectral library of HNS according to wavelength and developing a detection algorithm would help prepare for accidents. In this study, a ground HNS spill experiment was conducted in France. The toluene spectrum was determined through hyperspectral sensor measurements. HNS present in the hyperspectral images were detected by applying the spectral mixture algorithm. Preprocessing principal component analysis (PCA) removed noise and performed dimensional compression. The endmember spectra of toluene and seawater were extracted through the N-FINDR technique. By calculating the abundance fraction of toluene and seawater based on the spectrum, the detection accuracy of HNS in all pixels was presented as a probability. The probability was compared with radiance images at a wavelength of 418.15 nm to select abundance fractions with maximum detection accuracy. The accuracy exceeded 99% at a ratio of approximately 42%. Response to marine spills of HNS are presently impeded by the restricted access to the site because of high risk of exposure to toxic compounds. The present experimental and detection results could help estimate the area of contamination with HNS based on hyperspectral remote sensing.

  • A method is proposed to secure the reliability of the antibacterial test method for textile materials used in the military. Antibacterial activity refers to the inhibition of bacterial growth and removal of harmful bacteria. Through KS K 0693 'Antibacterial Test Method for Textile Material', it is considered that there is a high possibility of error due to the human eye measurement. Therefore, the measurement reliability is improved by applying the image processing. As a result of the measurement, the proposed method showed a difference of about 0.9% compared with the results by conventional test method. The proposed method has the merits that the reliability can be secured by eliminating the error of the measurer, and the measurement time can be reduced.

In order to improve competitiveness in domestic markets of farmhouses and to secure food safety, the farmers needs to introduce Systematic support and various system. In this paper, established system that use Monitoring technology, to inform production information and management information about agricultural products to consumer by real time. Therefore unused analog camera such as CCTV(Closed-Circuit Television) for real time Monitoring. This system Used web camera that offer picture quality that is good than CCTV at place that consists network without distinction in the place. An advantage of real time Monitoring system designed multi-vision interface showing multi images on single screen and, for the purpose of the improvement in efficiency, the functions of saving images and of scheduling the time to save the images.

  • Red tide is a natural phenomenon that change sea color by harmful algal blooms. There have been many studies on red tide due to increasing of red tide damage. However, to automatically classify the red tide algae is not enough. Recognition of red tide algae is difficult because they do not have matching center features for recognizing algae image object. Previously studies are used a few type of red tide algae for classification. In this paper, we proposed the red tide algae recognition method using PCA and roundness of image objects.

  • A noncontact nondestructive testing (NDT) method is proposed to detect the damage of pipeline structures and to identify the location of the damage. To achieve this goal, a scanning laser source actuation technique is utilized to generate a guided wave and scans a specific area to find damage location more precisely. The ND: YAG pulsed laser is used to generate Lamb wave and a piezoelectric sensor is installed to measure the structural responses. The measured responses are analyzed using three dimensional Fourier transformation (3DFT). The damage-sensitive features are extracted by wavenumber filtering based on the 3D FT. Then, flaw imaging techniques of a pipeline structures is conducted using the damage-sensitive features. Finally, the pipes with notches are investigated to verify the effectiveness and the robustness of the proposed NDT approach.

  • 소성 영역(Sintering zone)에서 클링커(Clinker)의 형상 형성은 시멘트 생산 공정에서 가장 중요한 생산 공정중의 하나이다. 소성공정의 진단 및 최적 제어의 핵심은 써모그래프(Thermo graph), 즉 적외선 카메라를 이용한 온도 분포의 측정이다. 여기에서 다룰 ''PIT Indicator'' 시스템은 분진이 많은 열악한 산업 현장의 연소 시스템에 적용할 수 있도록 특별히 설계한 공냉식의 2개 채널을 가진 광학 장비에 기초하고 있다. 비디오 영상과 써모그래프 이미지 그리고 다양한 연소 특성이 카메라를 통하여 얻어지고 자기 학습 기능을 가진 소프트웨어에서 기록되고 분석된다. 이때 얻은 데이터는 수학적 모델에서 온라인으로 Free Lime 함유율을 예측하는데 이용된다. 열분포의 써모그래프 표시와 공정상의 다양한 운전 특성을 분석하여 주는 ''PIT Indicator'' 소프트웨어를 통하여 다른 공정 제어 시스템과 연결이 가능하다. 이와 같은 하드웨어와 소프트웨어를 이용하여 최적화가 필요한 여러요소들의 최적화를 동시에 그리고 온라인으로 수행할 수가 있다. Free Lime 함유율의 연속적인 온라인 연산을 통해 생산 설비 및 공정에 맞는 최소한의 에너지를 Kiln 에 공급함으로써 근본적으로 1차 연료의 절감이 가능하고 NOx와 같은 유해 가스의 배출량도 제어할 수 있다. 또한 별도로 NOx에 대한 모델을 개발하여 NOx를 정확하게 예측하는 것도 가능하다.

  • Several researches and patents has been published on gathering impurity from both upper and lower places of melting zinc bath and collecting them using melting resolution, but they have never discovered work model applied in the field. This paper proposes an effective extraction algorithm for hazardous work robot that is designed to detect impurity in steel manufacturing process.
