Optimum Maintenance Strategy of Bridges Based on System Reliability (시스템 신뢰성에 기초한 교량의 최적 유지관리 계획)

  • Bridge construction is almost complete in many countries. Thus, the government and highway agencies change their focus from constructing to maintaining. Effectively maintaining bridges require predicting their lifespan using a system reliability viewpoint. Likewise, maintenance models based on the system reliability concept should be developed. Thus, this study developed maintenance models for preventive maintenance and essential maintenance using system reliability and lifetime distributions. The optimal maintenance strategy for an existing bridge was obtained using the developed maintenance models.

  • The construction data should be controlled from the life-cycle perspective. The current PMIS (Project Management Information System) usually focuses on the construction operation stage. The PMIS does consider the utilization of the construction in the maintenance of constructed facilities. This paper tries to interface the construction data with the maintenance data for effective use of construction data in the life-cycle perspective. To achieve the research objective, a maintenance breakdown structure is established and connected to the work breakdown structures. The connection of the two breakdown structures provide a structured utilization of construction data for efficient maintenance work activities. A prototype suggests that the interface of maintenance and work breakdown structures can help provide a construction and maintenance data in a more efficient way for maintenance activities.

  • Information technology has affected various industries, and the construction industry is one of those. In construction industry, the operating body for maintenance is trying to implement more systematic management skill for public facilities in order to minimize the life cycle cost. For more efficient maintenance system, first, the target facilities were selected and the present condition of their systems was estimated. And, the implementation plan of new system was proposed based on them. Accordingly, the new system managed by working-level personnel can supplement the weak points in the current system.

  • Local government has constructed GIS DB for efficient business achievement and effective management of complex city facilities and has been developing and utilizing application systems, such as Underground Facility Management System Road Management System and so on. However, Facility Management System is providing functions for business, but not for GIS DB's maintenance. City facilities GIS DB managed by GIS technical expert collects basic figure and attribute information through survey and field investigation and is constructed via complex process, such as structurize editing etc. So it has been concerned that the update and confidence of CIS DB can be lower if a business man who does not have enough experiences about Facility Management System operates it by himself. Therefore, functions that enable business users to operate Facility Management System easily should be provided.

  • 본 연구 성과는 국내토목구조물의 유지관리 업무를 지원하는 분야에 해당한다. 현재 우리나라 토목시설물은 법정비를 통해, 유지관리업무를 체계화시켜나가고 있는 상태이지만, 아직 그 결과물에 대한 DB 시스템이 일반화 되어 있지 못하며, 일부 개발된 툴들도 서로간의 유기적인 연결은 부족하다. 본 연구를 통해 개발한 지하구조물 유지관리 DB시스템을 이용해서 시설물 관리주체, 진단업체, 유지관리업체들이 상호간에 유기적으로 연결되고 효율적으로 데이터들을 관리할 수 있는 시스템을 제안하여, 국내 기간산업의 유지관리 업무 효율성을 높이는데 이바지 하고자 한다.

  • A preliminary study was conducted to introduce the concept of asset management in developing maintenance strategies for public facilities. A survey was carried out to analyze public institutions' maintenance status, thereby leading to an asset management system. The survey identified the maintenance priorities for the asset management system, evaluated the weight factor in selecting facilities, and analyzed the current maintenance system. The purpose of the study is to assess the system transitioning to asset management systems considering the life cycle of the facilities from safety management-oriented maintenance policies. As a consequence of the survey results, the study presents data for establishing an asset management system.

  • A building structures was used the facility management phase through $planing\cdotdesign\cdotconstruction$. phase. building's length of life was shorter than its physical length of life, because of the lack of law and institution, the lack of related agencies' preparation and owner's preparation. Also, considering the construction life-cycle, the facility phase accounted for $70\%$ of whole official lift, therefore, it needed to be opposed to systemic facility management. Current facility management system practically managed the defect of facility and almost never communicated between the other phase. In the side of policy, domestic law, institution, and policy related to building structure focused built-up market. and then the management of existing facilities was not consolidated efficiently. The purpose of this study was to suggest the direction of facility management construction for managing, utilizing, and operating public facilities, moreover, to study the direction of current facility management system improvement corresponding to total computer integrated construction system under government agencies.

  • For the bridges managed by the municipalities, there is a need for a maintenance management system for the municipal governments for the scientific and systematic maintenance standard and the scientificization of the budget acquisition and execution through the quantified data base. The purpose of this study is to develop a system for efficient management of small bridgies maintained by the municipality and use ICT convergence technology such as BIM / GIS technology. The details of the system development include the development of the small bridgies maintenance program for mobile devices, the development of the small bridgies maintenance database, the development of the small bridgies integration maintenance management, and the reliability of the program system developed by checking the construction and operation contents of the small bridgies test-bed. The developed program system is linked to the development of smart name plate and reader module of non - power system.

  • 본 연구는 교량시설물의 유지관리에 있어서 사후 대응적 방식에서 예방적 방식으로 전환하기 위해 유지관리와 관련된 이연비용을 관리하는 시스템 도입방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 선행연구사례와 기존 유지관리시스템을 조사하였다. 또한 이연비용관리에 필요한 생애주기 재설계와 데이터 수집 및 관리들의 요건과 이연비용관리시스템을 이용하여 이들 요건을 처리하기 위한 흐름을 구상하였다.

  • 최근 홍수 시 제방붕괴로 인한 인명 및 재산피해가 증가되고 있어 노후화된 제방 시설물의 안전관리 체계에 대한 필요성으로 국토교통부에서는 국가하천유지보수 종합체계 시스템을 개발하였으나 아직 시범단계로 실무에 적용하여 활용하고 있지 못한 실정이다. 효율적인 국가하천시설에 대한 유지관리를 위한 자료D/B화 및 관리대장, 점검기법, 보수보기법 등을 제시하고 있으나 국가하천에 국한되어 있어 전국단위 하천시설물의 전주기에 대한 통합적인 관리는 반영되어 있지 못하다. 하천시설물 생애주기관리를 위해서는 모든 하천시설물에 대한 이력관리가 필요하나 현재는 시설물의 안전관리에 관한 특별법(시특법) 상의 1, 2종 시설물에 대해서만 시설물정보관리종합시스템(FMS)에서 이력관리를 수행하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국가하천 및 지방하천에 대한 하천시설물의 생애주기 관리방안을 도출하기 위해 기존의 시스템의 기능 및 구조를 분석하였으며 이를 통해 하천시설물 생애주기 관리방안을 제시하였다.
