PIV를 이용한 액체 램재트 엔진 연소실의 유동 계측

  • 두 개의 사각형 유입구가 $90^{\cire}$의 각도를 이루고 있는 액체 램제트 엔진의 연소실 형상을 최적화하기 위해서 수조를 이용한 연소실 유동 계측 실험을 수행하였다. 공기 유입구의 연소실 유입 각도는 $30^{\cire}$, $45^{\cire}$$60^{\cire}$인 세 가지 형상의 연소실 모형을 제작하였으며, 각각의 유입 각도에 대하여 연소실 재순환 영역의 크기를 5가지로 변화시킬 수 있도록 모형을 제작하였다. 그리고 연소실의 배면은 돔의 형태로 하여 재순환이 잘 이루어지도록 모형을 제작하였으며, 유입구에서 연소실로 들어가는 유동의 안정화를 위해 안내깃을 세 개 설치하여 실험하였다.(중략)

Numerical Analysis for Cooling Condition of a Lamp House in the Exposure Device by Response Surface Methodology (반응표면분석법을 이용하여 노광기 램프하우스의 냉각조건 수치해석)

  • The lamp cooling system of the exposure has effect on the exposure efficiency and device lifetime. In this paper, we performed the numerical analysis about the thermal flow in the lamp housing of the exposure apparatus for the cooling air inflow rate. We set up the velocity of cooling air of side and bottom as the independent variables because cooling performance of the lamp housing is affected by the velocity of the cooling air side and bottom. The cooling state of lamp housing depend on three dependent variables; the temperature at top mirror and exhaust gas, ellipsoidal mirror. Response surface methodology was used in order to establish the efficient cooling analysis plan. The regression equation predicting the variables temperature of lamp housing according to the cooling air velocity were drawn. The velocity of cooling air to reach the optimum temperature of the lamp housing were derived.

Combustion Characteristics of Pool Fire by Height of Fire Source (화점높이 변화에 따른 Pool Fire의 연소특성)

  • This study is intended to understand flame behavior of the pool fire by height of fire source. Liquid fuels were methanol and n-Heptane which are used in many studies of pool fire. Size of vessel was $100mm{\times}100mm{\times}50mm$ and the vessel was made by stainless steel. Combustion time, mass loss rate, flame temperature, flame height and air entrainment rate from the outside to flame were measured, and flame behavior was visualized with video camera. Based on the experiment, it was found that combustion characteristics of pool fire was decreased according to increase of height of fire source because entrainment volume of relative cold air was increased from the outside to flame.

  • The air and water flow distribution are experimentally studied for a round header-ten microchannel tube configuration. Three different inlet orientations (parallel, side, normal) were investigated. Tests were conducted with downward flow configuration for the mass flux from 70 to 130 kg/$m^2s$, quality from 0.2 to 0.6, non-dimensional protrusion depth (h/D) from 0.0 to 0.5. It is shown that, for almost all the test conditions, normal inlet yielded the best flow distribution, followed by side and parallel inlet. Possible reasoning is provided using flow visualization results.

  • The entrainment of air into spray jets has been considered. Entrainment is defined as the quantity of ambient gas that is drawn into a spray. Numerical study is performed to investigate an air entrainment into spray jets and compared with results of experiment of air entrainment. Experimental measurements were performed with PDA and PIV system. Experimental and numerical results show that the air entrainment was affected droplet size and velocity.

  • The conjugate heat transfer from a protruding module in a horizontal channel with a variation of air temperature is experimentally investigated. It is an aim of this study is to estimate temperature difference between a module and air. This study is performed with a variation of parameters that are air temperatures($T_i,=25^{\circ}C{\sim}55^{\circ}C),$ thermal resistance($R_c=158 K/W),$ air velocities ( 4V_i=0.1$ m/s~l.5 m/s ), and input power (Q=3 W, 7 W ). The results show that as the thermal resistance increases, the effect of air temperatures are decreased. And input power was most effective parameter on the temperature difference between a module and air.

  • 본 논문에서 연구하고자 하는 팬은 대형 차량용 라디에이터 냉각팬으로써 수치해석을 통한 일반적인 팬의 성능 평가시 팬과 쉬라우드의 형상만을 이용하여 시뮬레이션 하지만 라디에이터를 거쳐 공기가 유입되는 실제 현상에 좀 더 가깝게 모사하고자 라디에이터의 압력 부하를 고려한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였고 기존 해석 결과와 비교하였다. 연구된 냉각팬은 쉬라우드의 전방에 라디에이터가 설치되며 라디에이터를 통하여 공기가 유입되기 때문에 라디에이터의 압력 부하에 따라 팬 성능에 영향을 준다. 라디에이터의 압력 부하 성능을 모사하기 위하여 쉬라우드 입구에 박스 형태로 라디에이터의 외부 크기를 모델링 한 후 수치해석 시 porous media model을 사용하여 풍속에 따른 압력 강하 곡선을 적용하였다. 수치해석에서 porous media model을 적용할 경우 실제적인 형상 모델링 없이도 실험으로부터 도출한 성능곡선을 조건으로 입력하여 실제 현상에 가까운 시뮬레이션을 할 수 있다. 그리고 팬 날개수 증가에 따른 해석을 수행하여, 날개수 변경에 따른 성능개선의 여지를 확인 하였다.

  • The effect of air entrainment in twin-fluid spray structure is investigated experimentally by varing the amount of itemizing air. The air entrainment is expected to affect on droplet size and velocity, droplet number density, turbulent kinetic energy and vorticity. PDA(Phase Doppler Anemometer) and PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) system are used to measure those important factors in analyzing spray structure. The results show that spray structure consists of three distinctive regions ; the atomizing region near nozzle, characterizing strong convective effect, the central core region where droplets are accelerated, and the spray sheath region where droplets are decelerated due to air entrainment. The local air entrainment rate is largest near nozzle, characterizing strong turbulent kinetic energy and vorticity but deceases along axial distance.

LNG 냉열을 이용한 복합발전시스템의 성능향상에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 복합발전시스템의 외기온도 변화로 인한 출력저하 문제를 극복할 수 있는 LNG 냉열 이용 복합발전 시스템을 제안하였다. 본 연구에 의해 제안된 LNG 냉열 이용 복합발전 시스템의 타당성을 검토하기 위해 ASPEN과 GateCycle을 이용한 시뮬레이션 모델을 구성하였고, 모델에 의해 예측한 결과를 실제 발전소 성능시험결과와 비교하여, 본 시뮬레이션 방법의 예측정확도를 검증하였다. 본 시뮬레이션 방법을 토대로 LNG 냉열을 이용하여 가스터빈의 유입공기를 냉각시켰을 경우의 복합발전 시스템 성능변화를 분석하였다. 그 결과 LNG 냉열을 이용하여 유입 공기를 원하는 온도까지 냉각시켜 하절기에도 출력을 일정하게 유지시킬 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었고, 이를 위한 기스터빈과 LNG 간의 열교환기 설계기준도 제시하였다.

  • This paper is investigated the entrainment of air into sprays which has significant effects on the combustion efficiency, stability of flame using the air-assisted twin-fluid nozzle in non-burning. The factors which may be expected to affect the entrainment of air by a liquid spray are: Relative velocity of droplet and ambient gas; Drop size and size distribution; Density and other property of the liquid. Here, axial, radial velocity and turbulent kinetic energy of spray droplet was measured with the PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry). Spray characteristics were also visualized using CCD camera. The results indicate that the entrainment rate increases more or less non-linearly with the downstream region.
