BLAC Drive System for Electro-Magnetic Brake (Electro-Magnetic Brake를 위한 BLAC 구동시스템)

  • The electric braking system obtains its braking force by a motor instead of the hydraulic brake which has been used in conventional automobile systems. Electric braking system is consisted of fewer numbers of components than hydraulic braking system, and it has effects of improved response and reduced braking distance for the ABS(Anti-lock Brake System) and ESC(Electronic Stability Control). This paper presents the BLAC motor drive system for Electro-Magnetic Brake(EMB). Proposed control system consists of the power converter for driving a motor and the digital control system for speed control, and the vector control is applied for fast torque response. It is verified through the simulation using Matlab/Simulink and experiment that the proposed BLAC drive system can be applied to EMB.

  • This paper proposes a design method for a 3-phase interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) and clamping force control method for an electro-mechanical brake (EMB) using co-simulation for a high-speed train (HST). A traditional pneumatic brake system needs much space for the compressor, brake reservoir, and air pipe. However, an EMB system uses up to 50% less space due to the use of a motor and electric wires for controlling the brake caliper. In addition, it can reduce the latency time for brake control because of the fast response and precise control. A train that has many brakes is advantageous for safety because of the control by sharing the braking force. In this paper, a driving method for a cam-shaft-type EMB is modeled. It is different from the ball-screw-type brakes that are widely used in automobiles. In addition, a co-simulation method is proposed using JMAG and Matlab/Simulink. The IPMSM was designed and analyzed with the JMAG tool, and the control system was simulated using Matlab/Simulink. The effectiveness of the co-simulation results of the mechanical clamping force and braking force was verified by comparison with the clamping force specifications of a HEMU-430X HST.

  • Variable-displacement pumps are inherently more efficeint than fixed-displacement pumps under varying loads. Their energy-saving characteristics can be improved by the use of special control. This paper shows the improvement of the system by the use of load-sesing technique.

  • Dynamic characteristics of a hydraulic power supply are studied theoretically and computationally. The transfer function between the supply pressure and the load flow is derived considering relief valve dynamics, accumulator dynamics, and flow line dynamics. Frequency responses and time responses are obtained in many conditions using the transfer function and nonlinear mathematical model respectively.

  • This paper is describes the improvement of the transient response of the electrohydraulic position control system which exhibit the over-damped characteristics. A new approach, Position Error Prefiltered Proportional (PEPP) control, is proposed and the computer simulation results for the transient responses are analyzed. Experimental results using Z-80 microprocessor are presented.

  • 디지털 시스템의 발전으로 발전소의 제어시스템도 디지털시스템으로 설비개체가 많이 시행되고 있다. 발전소 제어설비중에서도 아직 연구개발이 미진하고 상대적으로 낙후된 터빈 조속기 제어 분야는 최근 몇 년전부터 연구개발이 진행중이다. 본 논문에서는 수력발전소 수차제어시스템을 개발하기 위한 기본 단계로 수력 터빈-조속기 모델과 기계유압식 조속기의 모델을 검토해 보고 디지털 제어시스템으로 개조하기 위한 디지털 PID 모델을 제시하였다.

  • Due to the friction characteristics of cylinders and the rail of a passenger car, in the elevator actuated with hydraulic systems, there exist dead zones, which can not be controlled by a PID controller. To overcome the drawbacks, in this paper, we first try a hybrid controller which switches between a fuzzy logic controller and a PID controller. However, because the hybrid control scheme uses only a single type controller, except the switched layer, the high control performance can not be achieved. To solve this problem, we propose a new type fuzzy hybrid control scheme, which outputs of the output mixer arc controlled by a fuzzy logic. The hydraulic elevator system controlled by inverters has more then one switched layers due to the highly nonlinear characteristics. The proposed fuzzy hybrid control scheme achieves improved control performances by using both controllers with weighted outputs depend on the system status, to achieve improved control performances. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme arc shown by simulation results, which the proposed fuzzy hybrid control method yields good control performance not only in the zero crossing speed region but also in the overall control region including steady-state region.

건설기계용 주행모터의 기술동향

  • 국내외 대형 플랜트사업이 활발해지면서 여기에 소요되는 건설기계의 수요가 급증하고 특히 초 대형화가 요구되고 있다. 그러나 국내 건설기계는 장비중량이 40ton 이하인 것을 주로 생산하고 있었으나, 최근 이것에 2배가 넘는 85ton급 초대형을 생산하고 있다. 주행모터(track motor)는 굴삭기의 전진 및 후진 주행을 하는 핵심 부품으로서 유압카운터 밸런스 밸브, 양방향작동 릴리프밸브, 주차 브레이크 장치, 2속 제어장치, 유압모터와 고 강성 유성기어감속기가 매우 콤팩트한 구조로 구성된다. 우리나라에서는 두산모트롤, 제일유압, 선진정공 등에서 40ton 이하의 중소형 건설기계용 주행모터를 생산하고 있으나, 70ton 이상 초대형 급은 일본 Kayaba사, Kawasaki사, 독일 Rexroth사 및 이태리 Trasmital사 들로부터 전량수입에 의존하고 있다. 본고에서는 건설기계의 핵심부품인 주행모터의 국내외 수요시장 동향을 분석하여 국산화 개발필요성을 강조하였고, 특히 초대형 주행모터의 성능특성을 분석하여 국산화 개발에 반영 할 수 있도록 하였다.

An Experimental Study on the Cushion Characteristics of Hydraulic Cylinder (유압 실린더의 쿠션특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The paper describes a characteristics analysis for cushion pressure and cushion stroke time at hydraulic cushioning cylinder. In hydraulic cushioning cylinder, an inertia exaggerates a kinetic energy at a reciprocation that collide with an end of stroke and generate a destructive shock, noise and vibration within the structural and operating member of machine of equipment. In order to reduce which cause to undesirable noise, vibration and fatigue in hydraulic control system, it is indispensible measure a cushion parameters at cushion region of hydraulic cushioning cylinder. A cushioning device is applied to absorb high impact energy and to decelerate a fast travelling object, too. At an experimental results, it turns out that cushion pressure is mainly a function of the external load and cylinder input flowrate rather than the supply pressure.
