The underlying success of logistics depends on the flow of data and information for effective management. Over the last 30 years, we have seen the power of microprocessors double about every 18months. This continuing trend means that computers will become considerably smaller, cheaper, and more abundant; indeed, they are becoming ubiquitous and are even finding their way into everyday objects, resulting in the creation of smart things. In the long term, ubiquitous technologies will take on great economic significance. Industrial products will become smart because of their integrated information processing capacity, or take on an electronic identity that can be queried remotely, or be equipped with sensors for detecting their environment, enabling the development of innovative products and totally new services. The global marketplace runs on logistics, security, speed, agility and flexibility..In this paper we report that pairing these traditional logistics functions with RFID technology can be a huge value-driver for companies. This winning combination yields increased logistics management effectiveness and more efficient visibility into the supply chain management.

최근 통신서비스는 유무선환경이 융 복합되어지고, 통신의 주체도 기존의 전화, 휴대전화, PC에서 센서를 이용한 사물통신까지 다양해지고 있다. 이러한 통신환경의 변화는 수년간 논의되어온 유비쿼터스서비스(Ubiquitous Service, U-Service)로 발전되어지는 것이라 할 수 있다. 기존의 통신 서비스의 경우에는 회선의 대역폭이나 손실률, 지연율 등이 통신서비스의 품질을 크게 좌우했지만, 통신환경이 복잡해지면서 통신서비스의 품질을 좌우하는 요소 또한 다양해지고 있다. 특히 U-Service에서는 기존과는 다른 통신환경을 가지고 있는 센서와 센서를 위한 센터 네트워크가 한 부분으로 포함되면서 통신서비스의 품질을 관리하는 것은 상당히 어려워지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 U-Service에서의 품질에 관한 기존의 연구와 통신서비스에서의 품질에 관한 연구를 분석하고, U-Service에서의 품질에 대한 정의 및 품질 관리방안에 대해서 제안한다.

무선 통신의 용량 증대와 음성 지역 해소 그리고 QoS를 위하여 최근 활발하게 연구개발되고 있는 femtocell은 사용자에게는 저렴한 통신 요금과 위치 인식 서비스 그리고 위치 통지에 의한 closed subscriber group간의 가족 위치 확인같은 편리성 제공과 통신사업자에게 OPEX, CAPEX 경감 등 장점을 제공하고 있다. 한편 기존의 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅환경하에서 주변 상황 정보를 감지하여 인지하는 context awareness에 센싱과 서비스가 동시에 이루어지는 새로운 파라다임을 제공해 주고 있어 상황인지 시스템 구축에 파라다임의 변화가 필요한 시점이다. 즉, raw data 취득, 가독 data로 변환, 고수준 상황추론, 서비스 제공 등의 시스템 구축이 휴대 단말의 응용 프로그램이나 네트워크에서 단말을 인식하여 연결된 기기들에 대해 정보 전달이 가능해져 별도의 시스템 구축 없이도 상당 부분의 상황인지 framework 기능이 가능하게 되었다.

유비쿼터스 시대의 핵심 기반기술인 RFID와 관련하여 공공기관을 중심으로 시범 사업 및 본 사업이 활발하게 추진되고 있다. 또한 RFID 기반 정보시스템에 대한 감리 수요도 계속 증가하고 있으며, 특히 개인정보보호에 대한 관심이 확산되면서 보안감리의 비중도 높아지고 있다. 이와 관련하여 RFID 기반 정보시스템의 사업특성을 적절히 반영한 보안감리 점검항목이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 현행 RFID 기반 정보시스템에 대한 감리를 보다 체계적이고 효율적으로 수행하는데 활용될 수 있는 RFID 사업특성기반의 보안감리 점검항목을 제안한다.

본 연구에서는 u-Eco City 건설을 위한 u-City 기술 연구의 첫걸음으로서 기반시설 관점에서 u-City기술을 분류하고자 한다. 이는 u-City를 구현할 때 기반시설에 u-City기술을 접목함으로써 u-City서비스를 실현할 수 있기 때문에 의미가 있다. 즉, "유비쿼터스 도시건설 등에 관한 법률"에서 언급하고 있는 u-기반시설의 개념을 도입하여 기술을 분류함으로써 서비스-기술-기반시설의 연계성을 명확하게 파악할 수 있다. 본 연구에서 제시하고자하는 u-City 기술의 분류는 u-City기술의 범위를 정하고, 추후 기술개발의 전략적 목표 설정 및 기술전략 수립의 기초자료로써 활용될 수 있으리라 기대된다.

오늘날 우리사회에서는 유비쿼터스를 비롯한 정보기술의 급격한 발전에 따라 GIS를 통하여 누구나 일장 속에서 직접 지리정보를 활용할 수 있게 되면서 양질의 지리정보에 대하여 관심을 보이는 편이다. 본 연구에서 다루고자하는 지리정보는 일반시민의 생활과 가장 밀접하고 친숙한 형태의 정보 중 하나이며, 정보로서의 활용도가 매우 높다. 하지만 아직까지 지리정보 데이터베이스 서비스 품질 평가에 주안점을 둔 평가모델이나 평가차원을 도출해보려는 시도에 대한 선행연구가제대로 된 적이 없다. 이에 본 연구에서는 지리정보 데이터베이스 서비스 경우에 서비스품질에 핵심적인 속성들이 무엇인지, 고객만족에 영향을 미치는 가장 중요한 데이터베이스 서비스 품질속성은 무엇인지 알아보고자 한다. 또한 고객의 만족을 실현할 수 있기 위해서는 데이터베이스 서비스 품질속성들이 각각 어떤 수준으로 제공되어야 할 것인가 라는 문제를 컨조인트 분석을 통해 해결해 보고자 한다.

It is predicted that the greatest change in the 21st century arises from the digital environment that has been rapidly transforming. The convergence of computer and telecommunication technologies will be encroached into the social realm. Also the digital technology produces digitally equipped homes, and daily life will be substantially influenced by such information appliances. The main purpose of this research was to find out the recent trends of development of digital information appliances, and to explore the outlook in the forseeable future. The findings showed that a variety of digital functions in the market made users confused, and they found it difficult to use. The participants pointed out that the digital functions should be more user-friendly. Therefore, the development of digital information appliances need to consider it.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among users perception on the characteristics of U-Services, attitude factors as mediating variables, and behavioral intention toward U-Services as the dependent variable. Based on the literature review on the related theories, the research model which analyzes the behavioral intention toward U-Services was developed. The result from the analysis of the data collected validated the U-Services Acceptance Model (USAM) proposed in this study as a sound construct framework. Futhermore, significant insights on the USAM were provided for the stakeholders and future researchers in the field of U-Services Acceptance.

최근 노인 인구의 급증으로 고령화 사회가 빠르게 진행되면서 노인들을 위한 체계적이고 신속한 의료 환경이 요구되고 있다. 또한 의료비의 상승과 관련 인력의 부족으로 언제 어디서나 진료 가능한 대체 시스템의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이러한 요구에 의하여 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅과 네트워크를 활용하여 새로운 건강 관리 서비스의 개발이 진행 중이며 특히, 이를 이용한 건강관리 시스템에 대한 관심과 개발이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 가속도센서(Accelerometer)를 이용하여 노인들을 위한 U-SilverCare 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다.

Ubiquitous computing is a study area explained in a myriad of contexts and technological terms. So when you try to define it with simple words, it gets even more confusing. Payment. however, refers in nature to an act of money transfer from one entity to another, and it is obvious that a payment method will be valued as long as the transaction can be completed with safety no matter what technology was used. In the end, the key to U-payment is convenience and security in the transfer of financial information. The purpose of this paper is to find a desirable U-payment scheme by looking at the characteristics of seamlessness under the ubiquitous environments, Strong Personal Device, and peer-based if information transactions. We also propose U-SDT Protocol integrating critical technologies such as Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Bluetooth, Personal Payment Device, Account Managing Application and Transaction ID as a way to make transactions between users seamless and secure better privacy protection.
