The Ubiquitous life is not a life style that exists in a science fiction or in a far distance future anymore. The Combination of electronic and physical space, this new type of space was created by the ubiquitous network system, and this system will offer us new life style. Also the pattern of our living will be changed by the information that has obtained from this ubiquitous network system. By offering a new way of communication from the ubiquitous surrounding, our life style such as shopping, medical treatment, banking, and working conditions and a notion such as the preference in a job title would have shifted. This study have arrived at the development of the high technology, in other words Ubiquitous age , I have considered the notion of home-network that have observed by the preceding investigators as well as the theoretical consideration of residential space in ubiquitous surrounding. After I look into the usages and examples of residential space in ubiquitous surrounding of today's society, I hope that this would be helpful for the design that strives for the comfortable living in this ubiquitous age.

Consumers have paid attention to various functions of PC's nowadays from its efficiency in the past. This study set limits to adapted computers by consumer needs for their residence facilities and ubiquitous environment in our society. The purpose of this study is to suggest high potentialities of adapted computers and it's design for materializing house ubiquitous system. It has come out from analyzing PC market. The result is that Barebone PC, a kind of set PC, could be one of the most actual way for materializing house ubiquitous system. This study suggests many potentialities of Barebone PC which invites modular system. The existing Barebone PC is a kind of semimanufactures, however the new Barebone PC in this study is a expanded concept of modular system that connected to the area of the electric home appliances. This is inspected by analyzing the relation among potentialities and impotance of set PC design and module.

The current global spread of communal residential culture and the trend of continuing increase of newly built apartment environment are increasing the demand of home network products for each residential space and among households. The continuing advancement of ubiquitous and the introduction and development of home network system are promoting the demand for the product design. The residential culture change and the apartment interior design change are having mutual effects on the lifestyle of residents and the product design and demand new product design. Coordination with interior products, interior style and products, product and fashion design and reconstruction and fusion between the products and their element factors are the core element of this design study. Based on this, integrated design strategy and concept research and analysis were studied for the design process, and have been expressed in three dimension design through which the design functionality and the external aesthetical design can correspond to each other. It's because the aspect of the future development prospect can be predicted in detail by presenting practical design plan.

User needs in residential environment have very complicated and variety connection with others. u-home system for the near future is need to be combined acceptance of exist user needs as well as needs on new technology relating with u-Home. The study proposes a User Behavior Analysis Framework - UBAF for applying the user needs to the system more efficiently and developing the system by classifying patterns for the needs based on date of user behavior analysis. UBAF is a developing framework getting the basic idea of combining system modeling methods on SE and user modeling methods considering on HCI. It will be applicable to develop the system with core user behaviors by applying a standard way on u-Home. For example, the study transforms information into knowledge the system modeling and user modeling with analyzing a scenario for indoor temperature controlling on u-Home.

It is rapidly expanding to provide Home Digital Service based on the Home Network System in intelligent apartment. Fortunately, Korea has one of the highest rates of Internet penetration and access in the world. Construction companies used the Home Network system as a strategy of differentiation and it is available to the customers to raise their asset value. Besides, the government has a positive response to accept the new movements to make the digital environment with 'u-Korea (Ubiquitous Korea)' as the slogan. However, the level of providing Home Digital Service is actually at the beginning. The develop the home network industry more effectively, the related industries' cooperation is essential. The purpose of this study is to propose a providing model of Home Network System for the construction company and to make a method to response the fast change of technology development and customer's request at the point of construction companies' view.

센서 데이터들을 실제 IT 환경 하에서 데이터 처리하기 위해서 네트워크 인프라 환경으로 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) 환경이 많이 연구되어지고 있다. 이들 환경은 온도, 소리, 진동, 습도등 생활 주변의 정보를 수집하여 이에 발생된 데이터들을 특정 시스템에서 처리하여 주변상황 상태등을 인식 및 관리를 하는데 목적을 둔다. 기존 USN 기술은 주로 네트워킹 관점의 연구가 활발히 수행되어지고 있다. USN은 미래 유비쿼터스 사회를 위한 기반 인프라로 국가적으로 기술 개발을 추진 중에 있으며 다양한 시범 서비스를 추진 중에 있다. 최근에는 환경, 에너지 등의 미래 신 성장 산업 분야에서 환경문제를 해결할 수 있는 기술 개발을 전략적으로 추진 중에 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 건축자재 및 생활 용품에서 배출되고 실내공간, 사무실, 주거지 등 일반 환경에서 보편적으로 존재하는 인체유해물질인 포름알데히드(HCHO) 오염농도를 수집 할 수 있는 센서네트워크 환경을 구축하고 수집된 HCHO 센서 데이터들을 이용하여 주변 사람들에게 위험정보를 제시하는 한 시스템으로 ET-IT 융합 시스템인 실시간 모니터링 시스템을 제시한다.

Recently, the korean statistical information service reported that the elder people aged over 65 years take 11 percentage point of all population, indicating that the hyper-elder era will advent shortly. As a result, there are remarkably increasing demands for providing self-organizable home agent system for elder people. Of the home agent system, the ubiquitous home service is known to be useful to overcome this problem. However, current ubiquitous home services limited to provide functional services, and it can be observed that there is lack of consideration for elder-support products which are closely interacted with elder people in the living situation. In this paper, we analyze senior aids products that can be combined to the ubiquitous home service, and propose design procedure for senior aids products that can be applied to self-organizable ubiquitous services. We studied characteristics of elder people, current state of affairs for senior aids products, and home services that are highly required by elder people. Moreover, we observed that the ubiquitous home services related to health, safety, and amenity are urgently needed, and those services can be categorized according to residential areas. Following those observances, we proposed a design principle based on the universal design paradigm to provide self-organizable ubiquitous home service environment for elder people using senior aids products.

The demand of ubiquitous home network system is rapidly increasing in Korea as each construction enterprise makes a huge effort to introduce it to apartment complex. However, the design of home network system is rather technology oriented than the customer focused. Lack of knowledge about customer needs is an obstacle in spreading the ubiquitous home network system to the market regardless of technology development. In this paper, we propose a HCSI(customer satisfaction index for home network system) using an SEM(structural equation model) where structural relationship among several factors influential on users' satisfaction is considered. This model enables to calculate the satisfaction index for target customer group so that one can provide necessary feedback information for improvement of the home network system used for each group.

노인들이 주거하는 실버타운에는 노인들의 건강 관리가 가장 중요하다. 이러한 노인들은 갑작스럽게 생체 신호의 변화나 건강 상태가 나빠질 수 있다. 대부분의 실버타운은 의료시설 외의 다른 장소에서 노인들의 건강 상태를 확인할 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 실버타운에서 노인들의 생체 정보 및 응급상황을 언제, 어디서나 모니터링 할 수 있는 USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network)시스템을 설계 및 구현한 연구를 소개한다. 또한, 실버타운 환경을 고려한 라우팅 알고리즘을 소개한다.

We propose the ubiFloor system to track and recognize users in ubiquitous computing environments such as ubiHome. Conventional user identification systems require users to carry tag sensors or use camera-based sensors to be very susceptible to environmental noise. Though floor-type systems may relieve these problems, high cost of load cell and DAQ boards makes the systems expensive. We propose the transparent user identification system, ubiFloor, exploiting user's walking pattern to recognize the user with a set of simple ON/OFF switch sensors. The experimental results show that the proposed system can recognize the 10 enrolled users at the correct recognition rate of $90\%$ without users' awareness of the system.
