NGN 프로젝트를 이어 BCN 프로젝트에 의하여 백엔드 영역은 IP 기반의 네트워크와 브로드밴드접속 서비스의 고도화가 실현될 것이다. 한편 프론트엔드 영역인 비 IP 기반의 네트워크인 NFC에 대한 인프라 구축과 기반기술개발, 유비쿼터스 서비스와 응용에 대한 사업 준비가 요구되는 상황이다. 그래서 차세대 W 서비스와 응용의 세계인 프론트엔드 영역에서 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 인프라 구축과 관련 산업 활성화를 위하여 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 서비스에 특성에 따라 센서네트워크, 단말 등에 대한 물리적인 보안에 대한 연구가 요구되고 있다.

미래 정보사회로 의미가 확대된 유비쿼터스 환경은 글로벌 컴퓨팅 환경에 기반한 유비쿼터스 인프라에서의 최적 보안 서비스 제공을 위한 지속적인 정보보호 기술이 요구되고 있다. 이와 같이 보안 서비스는 사용자에게 유비쿼터스 사회에서의 안전성, 신뢰성, 건전성을 제공하기 위한 다양한 수단을 포괄하는 개념으로, 개인의 프라이버시 침해 및 컨텍스트의 무분별한 사용이라는 문제점에 대응할 수 있어야 한다. 현재의 ID/Password를 사용한 인증 단계에서 발생되는 여러 문제들에 대한 대응 방안으로 OTP(One Time Password)가 부각되고 있다. OTP는 다양한 어플리케이션으로의 적용 및 유연한 사용자 권한 설정이 가능한 장점을 통해 다른 사용자 인증 방식에 비해 유비쿼터스 환경으로의 효율적인 적용이 가능하다. 하지만 OTP에 대한 인식의 부족 및 사용자 인증에 대한 중요성 인지 미흡으로 인하여 OTP 활용을 위한 시스템과 구조 연구가 부족하고, 제한적인 서비스에 OTP가 활용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자를 위한 보안 서비스를 제공하고자 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 보안 요소 강화를 위한 OTP의 보안 요구사항을 분석하고, OTP를 이용한 다양한 적응 방안을 고려한다. 이와 같은 연구를 통해 OTP의 효율적 관리 방안과 다양한 서비스 및 환경에서의 적용 방안 연구를 통하여, 기존 인증 방식보다 보안성이 강화된 인증 체계의 구현과 다양한 보안 서비스 제공이 가능할 것으로 기대 된다.

언제, 어디서나 사용자가 접속하여 원하는 정보와 서비스를 제공받을 수 있도록 컴퓨터를 실생활 환경에 편재시키는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅(Ubiquitous Computing)은 차세대 컴퓨팅을 주도할 개념으로 급부상하며 많은 연구 개발이 진행되고 있다. 본 고에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 개요와 연구 동향 및 기술 발전 방향에 대하여 살펴본다. 또한, 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 보안 요구사항을 고찰한다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 보안 요구사항은 유비쿼터스 네트워크 환경에서의 보안요구 사항과 유비쿼터스 응용 환경에서의 보안요구 사항으로 분류하여 분석한다

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경을 지원하기 위한 다양한 미들웨어에 대한 연구 및 개발이 이루어져 왔으며 이를 통해 수많은 응용 서비스들이 제공되고 있다. 그러나, 사용자 측면에서의 진정한 유비쿼터스 환경은 개별 시스템들이 제공하는 서비스들이 통합적으로 지원되는 환경이다. 따라서, 다양한 이기종 서비스 시스템들이 적절한 수준의 협업을 통해 사용자의 요구사항을 만족시키는 미들웨어 플랫폼의 개발이 요구된다. 또한 동적으로 변화하는 유비쿼터스 환경에서는 사용자가 원하는 서비스들을 사용자가 원하는 형대로, 원하는 시간에, 사용자의 직접적인 개입 없이 자동화된 서비스가 제공되어야 한다. 사용자에게 상황에 따라 적절한 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 적절한 워크플로우의 정의가 가능한 모델링 시스템이 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에 적용되기 위한 연구가 필요하다. 한편, 사용자들이 다양한 이벤트에 따라 작동하는 서비스 시나리오를 원활히 처리할 수 있는 기능을 도입함으로써 협업 효과를 극대화할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이기종 서비스 시스템간의 협업과 워크플로우를 지원하는 미들웨어 플랫폼을 제안한다.

최근 정보기술과 유비쿼터스기술을 바탕으로 도시를 미래화하는 유비쿼터스도시(U-City)구축이 범 국가적으로 추진되고 있다. 이에, 정부에서는 2008년 9월 25일 유비쿼터스도시의 건설 등에 관한 법률 시행령을 발표하였으며, 유비쿼터스도시서비스(U-City Service)를 크게 행정, 교통, 보건 의료 복지, 환경, 방범 방재, 시설물 관리, 교육, 문화 관광 스포츠, 물류, 근로 고용 등의 분야로 구분하였다. 이러한 유비쿼터스도시서비스를 제공하고 운영 및 관리하는 시설로 유비쿼터스도시 통합운영센터(U-City Management Center)는 다양한 유비쿼터스도시서비스를 효과적으로 연계하여 서비스에서 발생되는 다양한 도시정보를 통합, 분석하고 제공하는 유비쿼터스도시 핵심기능을 담당한다. 하지만 이러한 유비쿼터스도시 통합운영센터의 구축은 운영조직구성, 운영비용확보, 통합서비스 제공방안, 법 제도 정비 등의 해결과제를 가지고 있어 구현방안에 대한 구체적인 연구가 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 선행연구를 바탕으로 유비쿼터스도시 통합운영센터에서 기본적으로 제공되어야 할 유비쿼터스도시서비스 유형을 제시하고 정의한다.

With the introduction of the ubiquitous technology, the housing culture centers of construction companies have demonstrated future housing image and technology. However, ubiquitous home services are technology oriented items. The purpose of this study was to identify u- services which were realized in domestic future housing and to compare those with services the residents needed greatly refer to researches related to demand for u-service. For this study, field studies were conducted with 3 domestic future housings and precedent studies on demand for u-service were analyzed according to the standard of residents' demand. The results of the study showed that residents prefer u-services for security and control of indoor environment for housework and leisure life. As a result, u-services which residents needed mainly did not correspond with those that were displayed in future housing.

In this study we designed the killer services for the scene of bookstore in ubiquitous computing. To achieve this study, we have explored the unmet needs of employees and users in bookstores and examined whether the unmet needs could be served by the resources and capabilities of ubiquitous computing. Then we have extracted detailed killer services that includes value propositions and resource map by using statistical methodology. Finally, the killer services were designed to serve employees and users in bookstores with the service architecture. The result of this study will be applied to develop new business model in ubiquitous computing as the basic research.

With the advances in ubiquitous service infrastructure, healthcare services have drawn attention as one of promising application domains. In ubiquitous healthcare services, patients or care-givers as well as medical personnel are asked to play their roles and, in addition, the information system is supposed to have active roles. In medicine, clinical protocols have been developed and put into practice in order to reduce treatment variances and assure the service quality. In the same token, clinical protocols on ubiquitous service practices are need to be developed which takes into account both the clinical details and the ubiquitous service functionality. This paper introduces a clinical protocol modeling methodology which pays attention to participants and their tasks including contextual information. The proposed method has been successfully applied to a real application domain, OAB(overactive bladder) syndrome patient care to see how it builds a clinical protocol.

현재 이슈가 되고 있는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 서비스를 제공함에 있어 사용자의 만족도를 높여주기 위해 서비스의 지능화가 필요하다. 이러한 지능적인 서비스를 제공하기 위해 서비스에 필요한 지식을 논리적으로 표현하고, 체계적으로 추론할 수 있는 방법이 요구된다. 이를 위해 표현 범위가 넓고 유연한 일차 술어 논리(FOL)는 여러 분야에서 사용되었으며, 추론 시스템에 이용되고 있다. 그러나 풍부한 표현 범위는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 오브젝트 관리에 있어 많은 계산비용이 소요된다. 서비스의 빠른 제공을 목표로 하고 있는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 이러한 계산비용은 서비스 제공 시간을 늦추는 요인이 된다. 이러한 문제를 극복하고 지식의 의미를 부여하는 방법으로 Description Logic과 온톨로지가 연구되고 있다. 특히 OWL(Web Ontology Language)은 풍부한 표현력을 제공하고 있으며, W3C에 의해 온톨로지 기술의 표준으로 제안되었다. 그러나 풍부한 표현 범위는 실제 컴퓨팅 환경에서 모두 사용되지 않고, 기술 및 추론의 복잡함으로 overhead가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 극복하고자 실제 유비쿼터스 환경에서 요구되는 표현 범위를 만족하는 SUNHI의 표현력을 갖는 EOL을 제안한다.

Recently, developing U-City as an integrated set of ubiquitous space services has been regarded as a promising field in realizing ubiquitous computing technology. However, well organized requirement analyses of U-City to declare what kinds of ubiquitous space services are needed and which ubiquitous computing technology should be incorporated to come up with the needs are still insufficient. Hence, the aims of this paper are to propose a set of unique U-City construction philosophies and to analyze which services should be offered in the ubiquitous space services in U-Cities. A field survey to the citizens who are potential end users of the ubiquitous space services was conducted to analyze the success factors of U-City using CSF methodology. Focused group interview with professionals in the field of ubiquitous computing technology in Korea was then performed to identify the relationship of the ubiquitous space services and the critical success factors.
