국내 데이터베이스 시장은 정보 선진국인 미국이나 일본에 비해 전체 매출 규모나 데이터베이스 단위당 매출 규모가 매우 뒤떨어져 있다. 이는 이용 측면에서 국내 이용자들이 유료 정보에 대한 인식이나 비즈니스 활동에 있어서 정보의 중요성에 대한 인식이 아직 취약하고, 제공 측면에서는 고품질의 정보 콘텐츠가 적다는데 근본 원인이 있다. 기존에는 데이터베이스 사업자의 주요 수익 모델이 유료 회원 제도를 통한 회원 수입이나 정보 이용료를 통한 종량제 수입이 주류를 이뤘다. 하지만 최근에는 정보의 유통 매체가 웹으로 발전함에 따라 인터넷의 포털사이트를 통한 정보가 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 때문에 기존 정보제공 사업자들은 웹이라는 강력한 매체를 통해 자신의 정보에 새로운 비즈니스 모델을 부가해 수익을 창출하고, 콘텐츠간 융합 또는 기존의 오프라인 비즈니스 모델과 융합하는 등 다양한 형태의 서비스를 제공하고 있다.

유비쿼터스 네트워크는 언제, 어디서나, 어떤 기기로도 고품질의 다양한 유비쿼터스 서비스를 가능하게할 것이다. 디지털 홈, 전자정부, e-비즈니스 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 통신서비스, 방송서비스, 인터넷서비스가 BcN을 중심으로 컨버전스 된다고 볼 수 있다. 안전한 유비쿼터스 환경을 위해서는 새롭게 제안하는 fusion security framework의 조기정착이 필수적이며, 이를 위한 기술적 측면의 정보보호와 법적/제도적 측면의 정보보호를 알아보고, 향후의 유비쿼터스 정보보호에 대한 정책적 방향을 제안하고자 한다. 특히, 기술적인 측면에서의 국가 정책방향은 크게 인터넷 안전 대응체계 강화를 위한 u-secureKorea, 깨끗한 사이버 환경 구현을 위한 u-clean Korea, 개인정보보호 환경 구현을 위한 u-privacyKorea의 3가지 분야로 구분할 수 있으며, 3개 분야별로 BcN 인프라 보호기술 개발, 정보침해 방지기술개발, 개인정보 보호기술 개발을 추진하여야 하는 당위성을 제시하고자 한다.

현재, 분산 및 비즈니스 프로세스 환경을 위한 워크플로우 모델링 기술을 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서의 워크플로우 모델 설계에 적용하려는 다양한 연구가 시도되고 있다. 그러나, 유비쿼터스 환경에서의 워크플로우는 상황정보 기반의 서비스 흐름을 표현해야 하기 때문에, 기존 환경의 워크플로우 모델을 수정 없이 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에 적용하기에는 제약 점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 발생 가능한 다양한 형태의 서비스 흐름을 표현할 수 있는 새로운 상황인지 워크플로우 모델을 제안한다. 제안하는 모델은 서비스 전이조건으로써 상황정보의 효율적인 표현이 가능하고, 다수의 개별적인 상황인지 서비스를 하나의 워크플로우로 표현할 수 있다. 따라서, 제안하는 워크플로우 모델은 유비쿼터스 환경에서 개발자가 원하는 다양한 형태의 상황인지 워크플로우 응용서비스 개발을 위한 설계 기술로써 유용할 것으로 기대된다.

Mobile business noticed as a constructive alternative of e-commerce and e-business is being diversely considered as a new form or subset of e-business. In this study, mobile business is defined as a comprehensive alternative including e-business. The framework of the superset of e-business has two axes: connectivity and mobility. In addition, various cases based on the combination of the components are provided and explained. It is the main characteristic of this study that the element of off-line "mobility" is added to "connectivity" generally used while explaining e-commerce and e-business. For place (or location) is a prerequisite for the feature of mobility, we grope for why and how Location-Based Service (LBS) will take an important role in the development of new e-business models and services. As the real and full-scale beginning of IMT-2000 service and the rapid progress and diffusion of mobile communications services including wireless LAN require an immense and innovative way of thinking about e-commerce and e-business, the framework suggested in this study is considered to go far toward satisfying the new needs in this area.

Recently, much research have been done on ubiquitous computing models in advanced countries as well as in Korea. Ubiquitous computing is defined as a computing environment that isn't bounded by time and space. Different kinds of computers are embedded in artifacts, devices, and environment, thus people can be connected everywhere and every time. To recognize user's emotion, facial expression, temperature, humidity, weather, and lightning factors are used for building ontology. Ontology Web Language (OWL) is adopted to implement ontology and Jena is used as an emotional inference engine. The context-awareness service infrastructure suggested in this research can be divided into several modules by their functions.

뉴미디어로서의 가능성을 가지는 새로운 비즈니스 모델을 본논문에서 제시하였다. 이논문은산학프로젝트개발(2006-2008년)로 개발되어 현제 적용중으로, 주변에서 흔하게 볼 수 있는 아파트단지를 대상으로 아파트 내부의 방송통신설비와 유휴채널을 활용, IPTV 등의 기술을 응용하여 아파트자치방송이라는 새로운 개념의 비즈니스모델을 제안하고 이러한 올드미디어와 뉴미디어의 결합을 통해 유비쿼터스 시대의 목적에 부합됨은 물론 소중한 설비자원과 전파자원에 대한 새로운 시각을 제시하였다.

As ubiquitous computing technologies become the important paradigm for replacing internet based IT paradigm and developing the next generation IT, the research and development on the ubiquitous technologies are progressed actively. One of the core technologies for ubiquitous computing is RFID. In this paper, we design and implement the property management system as a new business item using the RFID since the demands for the u-business model that considers the ubiquitous environment are being grown. There are many properties in the organizations such as companies, schools and so on. Many users share these properties. Thus, these fields require efficient management systems for monitoring a variety of information such as the locations and the detailed information of the properties for the monitoring and lending services. We attach RFID tags to every property and monitor their information with our web-based management system. Our management system provides the monitoring service and the lending service for properties and users.

Recently, as individual 3D avatars are rapidly generalized in internet sites, its commercial applications for fashion business are being tried in ubiquitous fashion shopping era. In this research, we have investigated and analyzed patent problems of 3D avatar including personal body data to activate the fashion business using 3D avatars. Here, considering the patents for 3D face and body generation methods are already published, this research is focused on whole 3D body avatar obtained from individual body information. Firstly, definition of 3D avatar and its application cases have been investigated and then it has been researched whether or not legal protections by patent law, copyright law, computer program protection law, design protection law and fair competition laws are feasible in view of the subjects to be protected in each law and requirements for such protections. It was revealed that patent law may provide legal protections for 3D avatar and domestic and foreign patents related to 3D avatar have been researched.
