유비쿼터스 네트워크와 시큐리티 고찰

  • 네트워크와 무선통신의 발달에 힘입어 유비쿼터스 시대가 도래하고 있다. 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅에서의 시큐리티 문제는 인터넷 시대의 시큐리티 문제보다 복잡하며 공격이 용이하나 대책 수립은 보다 더 어려울 것으로 예측된다. 본 논문에서는 안전하지 못한 유비쿼터스 네트워크 기반이 전개되기 전에 유비궈터스의 시큐리티 문제를 고찰해 보고자 하였다. 유비쿼터스와 국방 정보시스템과의 관계, 유비퀘터스와 시큐리티 고려사항, 유비궈터스와 시큐리티 서비스인 인증, 무결성, 기밀성, 가용성 등에 관하여 기존의 발표된 자료를 중심으로 고찰하여 보았다.

  • The continuous development of digital technology has actualized ubiquitous computing, and the environment of human life has come to face changes. Prediction of the future so that human life may be prepared can be very important. A number of predictions of ubiquitous space are presented, ranging from related professional research to mass media, However, proper analyses and understanding are required to understand ubiquitous space and apply it to design. This study seeks to understand ubiquitous space through analysis of the trend in digital technology from a new perspective, to research cases, and predict the future of ubiquitous space. Human, object, and environment have been set as basic factors as the subjects smoothly exchanges various types of information in the physical space, and the trend in digital technology is analyzed. From a human-oriented perspective, the background and development trend of digital technology has been analyzed under the theme of interaction and interlace. From an object-oriented perspective, an analysis was unfolded under the theme of products' evolvement from radios to robots. From an environment-focused perspective, an analysis has been carried out under the theme of situation recognition, intrinsic factors, and integration and connectivity. By applying the analytic results, the types of studies that predict the future of ubiquitous space and generate concepts have been classified and analyzed into three different types of studies for experiment, industry, and public. In this manner, ubiquitous space has been forecasted. This study seeks a systematic analysis of the understanding of the trends in digital technology and employs a case study of ubiquitous space based on systematic analysis. In consideration of all these, this study is expected to contribute to concept generation and development by designers.

  • The application that the user's contexts are continuously changed over time requires an efficient information retrieval. This paper proposes a new context-differentiated information retrieval method for an efficient ubiquitous service. This enables the rapid retrieval, because of no access to the most detail information at a time. This paper describes the retrieval method, the algorithms and the experimental results.

  • Home computers that are connected to the Internet are under attack and need to be secured. That process is relatively well understood, even though we do not have perfect solutions today and probably never will. Meanwhile, however, the home computing environment is evolving into a home network of multiple devices, which will also need to be secured. We have little experience with these new home networks and much research needs to be done in this area. This paper gives a view of the requirements and some of the techniques available for securing home network.

  • 모바일 컴퓨팅에 대한 관심이 집중되면서 변화하는 사용자의 요구사항을 반영할 수 있는 안정되고 질 높은 서비스에 대한 요구가 증가되고 있다. 향후 유비궈터스 환경에서의 응용 서비스들은 기존의 요구 조건에 더하여 보다 정확한 시간(right time) 에 정확한 위치(right location)로 정화한 장치(right device/ right user)를 지원해 줄 수 있는 정확한 서비스(right service)를 요구하므로 이를 위한 상황 정보 관리 기능을 제공하고 사용자의 요구사항을 만족시킬 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 형태의 사용자 장치와 네트워크 연결성, 사용자 이동성 등을 고려하고 다양한 사용자의 요구사항과 환경의 변화에 따라 사용자에게 높은 품질의 서비스를 제공 할 수 있는 모바일 에이전트 기반의 모바일 응용 프레임워크를 제안하고 응용 시나리오로서 실시간 여행정보를 퐁해 사용자의 상황과 다양한 요구사항의 반영 방법을 설명한다.

  • Currently workflows in business processes and distributed computing environments have provided service automation by connecting many tasks with rules and/or orderings. The services in ubiquitous computing environments have to automatically provide users with adaptive services according to dynamically changing contort information, which is obtained from both the users and their environment. To adapt these workflows to ubiquitous computing, we must specify the situation information on the transition conditions. In this paper, we propose uWDL, Ubiquitous Workflow Description Language, based on Web Services to use the situation information on the transition constraints of workflow's services. uWDL can select adaptive services according to contexts, profiles, and events information, which are situation information. Furthermore, we verified the execution of a scenario document described with uWDL using the parser and the context handler for uWDL. The scenario developers can use the uWDL scenario editor for a design of scenarios, and they can easily specify the transition condition of the services according the situation information of ubiquitous environments using the uWDL.

  • In this paper, we propose a congestion control scheme to control the congestion due to the mobility of ubiquitous devices on ubiquitous computing environment. Especially, this congestion control scheme provides a reverse congestion avoidance state which can classify between packet error by features of wireless network and packet dropping by congestion. Also, it provides a slow stop state which can minimize bandwidth waste due to congestion control. The proposed congestion control scheme controls more adaptive than existing congestion control schemes. The proposed congestion control scheme is designed based on DCCP(Datagram Congestion Control Protocol) being proposed by IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force) and implemented on the Linux kernel. In simulation results, the proposed congestion control scheme provides good bandwidth throughput in wireless network as well as in wired network.

  • In this paper, we applied user-centered context to Smart Home Applications. Current research activities on smart home have just focused on the infrastructure without considering user's contexts and implementation cost. We first realized the user-centered personalized services using ubi-UCAM (a Unified Context-aware Application Model), which exploited contexts from various kinds of smart sensors. We, then, verified its usefulness in the ubiquitous computing-enabled home environment. It can be extended to various application areas since it guarantees independence between sensors and services. Accordingly, it will play a key role in future smart home environment.

  • Ubiquitous is an agriculture revolution, the Industrial Revolution, the fourth revolution to equal an information revolution are Ubiquitous. Historic agriculture was revolutionary, but the Industrial Revolution was a revolution of the physics space that was a base of a mankind civilization, and the informatization revolution that Cyber Space saw a prime while world wide web service was expended was a revolution of cyber space. It is combined with a life space naturally, and Ubiquitous technology. Also, I presented the plan that derivation tried a problem about Ubiquitous, and can solve an each problem. Specially, infringement about personal privacy very has a lot of possession to occur in the world that radio communication between all appliances is possible. It is Ubiquitous by becoming the data which is useful to thorough preparation about the Ubiquitous world to come with presenting policy a little technical solution plan about this to the future Republic of Korea. many company has been cracked by crackers information security and everyday new computer virus come out.

  • Nowadays, to realize ubiquitous computing environment, many research activities have been going on within various kinds of research domains including automatic identification, sensor network, home network, telematics and so on. Especially, RFID middle-ware that supports the aggregation of RFID tag data, control and management, and the integration with legacy systems has recently gained a lot of attention. Meanwhile, EPCglobal defined an ALE(Application Level Events) standard specification, which exists between RFID readers and applications, and substitutes the previous systems called Savant. In the specification internal structures and implementation technologies of ALE are not mentioned and only external interfaces are defined. This approach easies the verification of standard compliance and inter-operability of the layer. In this paper, we present the design of ALE-compliant RFID middle-ware systems that process RFID tag data efficiently.
