This study classified the different types of service attributes being provided through cable VOD services and looked at how the key service attribute types affect the willingness to use paid VOD for each group of paid and non-experienced users. Studies have shown that for a group of non-experienced people, 'content information-oriented attributes' have the greatest impact, and for a group of experienced people, 'convenience-oriented attributes' have the greatest impact. Thus, expanding users of paid VOD services requires setting up step-by-step strategies that match their respective collective characteristics. For a group of non-experienced people, it is necessary to take a direct persuasion strategy through the provision of relevant information and an indirect approach strategy through the expansion of promotion opportunities, and for an experienced group, a strategy to expand functional convenience.

인터넷 정보서비스의 다양화와 전자상거래의 활성화로 다양한 CP(Contents Provider)들이 등장하고 인터넷 비즈니스 모델에 유료 컨텐츠 제공을 통한 컨텐츠 비즈니스가 새로운 수익 모델로 등장하게 되었다. 이러한 추세에 발을 맞추어 컨텐츠에 대한 정보이용료 처리를 수행하는 시스템의 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 기존의 PC 통신의 IP(Information Provider)들을 텍스트 위주의 분당 사용료에 따른 종량제 서비스를 제공하여 수익을 올릴 수 있었지만 CP들은 그렇지 못했다[9]. PC 통신을 통해 정보를 제공하는 IP와 인터넷을 통해 정보를 제공하는 CP의 특징으로 기존 CP 제공 유형은 인터넷상의 정보 사용료 처리부분에 대한 수익금 정산처리의 어려움으로 IP방법을 모방하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 CP 특징을 이용하여 독자적인 홈페이지 운영으로 유료 정보 이용에 대한 이용료 부과 시스템 모델을 제안한다.

IPTV는 IP를 기반으로 한 초고속인터넷을 기반으로 제공되는 미디어 서비스로서, 국내에 널리 확산된 초고속인터넷을 기반하여 급속도로 확산되고 있는 추세에 있다. 특히, 국내에 IPTV서비스가 본격적으로 상용서비스를 제공한지 3년이라는 시간이 경과하면서, 2012년 8월 500만 가입자를 돌파하여 국내의 주요 방송미디어 매체로 등극하였다. 하지만 IPTV는 도입초기부터 많은 법규제 논란이 제기되어 기존의 방송법이 아닌 인터넷멀티미디어방송사업법(이하 IPTV법)을 별도로 제정하여 IPTV를 규제하고 있다. 이는 IPTV가 기존의 방송과는 달리 VOD 및 양방향서비스 등과 같은 비선형 서비스 및 부가서비스 제공이 가능하기 때문에 기존법으로는 규제가 어렵기 때문이다. 해외의 경우에는 IPTV에 대해서 정도의 차이는 있지만 기존 방송의 규제틀안에서 차별화를 하는 방향으로 규제가 이루어지고 있다. 유럽은 EU의 '국경없는 TV지침(TWFD)이 확대 개정된 시청각 미디어지침(AVMSD)을 근간으로 규제를 하고 있는데, 이 지침에 따라 EU 역내국가들은 방송미디어서비스를 선형서비스와 비선형서비스로 구분하고 있다. 기존 방송이 해당되는 선형서비스에 대해서는 강한 규제를, VOD와 같은 비선형 서비스에 대해서는 약한 규제를 적용하고 있다. 미국은 IPTV를 다채널 유료방송시장(MVPD)의 일종으로 구분하고 케이블방송과는 별개의 서비스로 구분하고 있으며, 주 단위의 IPTV 면허를 필요로 한다. 따라서 IPTV는 위성방송이나 케이블방송과 같이 콘텐츠 규제를 받게된다. 캐나다는 규제당국인 CTRC가 공공방송, 사적방송, 공동체 섹터로 구분하여 면호규제를 시행하며, 콘텐츠 규제는 CTRC와 업계의 자율규제를 통해 시행하고 있는데, IPTV와 같은 뉴미디어에 대해서는 규제의 예외를 인정하고 있다.

IPTV is well known services of TPS (Triple play service). Since TPS supplies the bundle service, service providers can supply low-priced services for their subscribers. To supply high quality contents stably, it is an essential requirement to make payment for the services. According to the type of services, either CAS or DRM is used to protect the pay-contents service. Also IPTV uses or will use these security systems to protect the service. In this paper, we will describe security problems when a IPTV service provider chooses either CAS or DRM, and then propose a new security system to solve the problems.

With the fee-based policy starting in 2001, the income statement of the contents providers shows that the contents sales is the number one portion, while the dotcom companies focusing on community sites have difficulties in diversifying business models. To overcome this problem, Freechal, a leader of community sites, employed a fee-based strategy for the first time in 2002, however, this attempt was failed because of a rapid decreasing number of community members. Many Internet companies too much relying on advertisement sales have been trying to turn into the fee-based business model, however, it is difficult for them to make an action plan owing to little research in this field. This paper provides an overview of community sites including their history, business models, and characteristics as well as suggests the implications from a Freechal case.

Academic libraries have been facing threats and opportunities at the same time because of a successful combination of information and communication technologies such as the internet. This study presented the need for library development in academic libraries, to assist with increasing costs and declining budgets and fulfilling users' expectations of additional information services. It suggested as a guide for library development of academic libraries in Korea through providing examples of various methods and cases for library development. As a result of research, this study provided the basic ideas of academic library development, which includes forming a community of friends of library and developing fundraising and fee-based information services.

In this paper, a novel transmission system based on ATSC-M/H is proposed that enables free broadcast content services and pay subscription based content services. The proposed system is compatible with the existing systems and it does not use complex access restriction mechanisms such as CAS. In North America, many DLNA systems use set-top boxes with DVR as a digital media server. A method to enable the provision for ATSC-M/H free and pay subscription services on DLNA systems is presented. In addition, a data service processing method in DLNA systems is also proposed.

본 논문에서는 소비자 스스로 검색하는 콘텐츠를 분석하여 그 중 인지도가 높은 콘텐츠를 제휴하여 서비스 를 제공한다. 인지도 높은 동영상 콘텐츠에 전자책을 제작하여 새로운 콘텐츠로 재제작 유료 서비스 추진 하고 인지도 높은 전자책 콘텐츠를 동영상과 함께 새로운 콘텐츠로 제작하여 유료 서비스 추진한다. 그리고 콘텐츠 보유 개인, 기업 및 단체와 제휴를 통한 서비스 추진할 수 있고 나아가 번역기를 통한 다국어서비스로 글로벌 콘텐츠 서비스 추진한다.

인앱결제 시스템이란 애플리케이션(앱) 내 결제 시스템을 통한 결제행위를 말하며, 다운받은 앱은 무료일 수 있지만 앱 내에서 별도의 유료아이템 등을 구매 할 경우 유료결제가 일어날 수 있다는 것을 뜻한다. 인앱결제는 한번의 등록을 거친 후 단 한번의 비밀번호 입력을 통하여 결제가 된다. 스마트폰 보급 확대에 따라 오픈마켓의 게임 등 모바일콘텐츠 거래 증가로 유료 콘텐츠 결제와 관련한 이용자 피해가 급증하며 이용자 불편, 불만(인앱결제 피해)으로 인한 피해가 다수 발생하고 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 휴대폰 인앱결제 시스템의 문제점을 파악하고 인앱결제로 인한 피해 예방을 하기 위한 보안서비스를 제시한다.

위성이나 케이블을 통해서 이루어지던 유료 방송 서비스가 최근에는 IPTV 라는 이름 아래 인터넷을 통해서 이루어지고 있다. IP 네트워크를 통해 콘텐츠가 전송되면서 네트워크의 대역폭을 효율적으로 사용하기 위해 멀티캐스트를 통해 이루어진다. 멀티캐스트는 IP 환경에서 동일한 내용의 데이터를 여러명의 특정한 그룹의 수신자에게 동시에 전송하는 것을 말하며, 이때 그룹을 관리하기 위해 인터넷 그룹 관리 프로토콜(Internet Group Management Protocol, IGMP)이 사용된다. IGMP에는 접근제어와 같은 보안 기능을 제공하지 않고 있으며, IPTV와 같은 유료 방송 서비스에서는 멀티캐스트를 통해 전송 되는 콘텐츠를 보호하기위해 접근제어시스템(Conditional Access System, CAS)을 사용한다. 그러나 CAS를 통해 콘텐츠를 보호 하더라도, IGMP에는 보안 기능이 없다는 근본적인 문제에 의해 사용자의 TV 시청을 방해할 수 있다는 가능성이 남아있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 CAS가 운영되면서 교환된 키를 사용해 IGMP메시지에 보안기능을 추가한 기법을 제안한다.
