For the fault diagnosis of three-phase induction motors, we propose a diagnosis algorithm based on mutual information and linear discriminant analysis (LDA). The experimental unit consists of machinery module for induction motor drive and data acquisition module to obtain the fault signal. As the first step for diagnosis procedure, DFT is performed to transform the acquired current signal into frequency domain. And then, frequency components are selected according to discriminate order calculated by mutual information As the next step, feature extraction is performed by LDA, and then diagnosis is evaluated by k-NN classifier. The results to verify the usability of the proposed algorithm showed better performance than various conventional methods.

This paper proposes two parametric entropy estimators, the minimum variance unbiased estimator and the maximum likelihood estimator, for the lognormal distribution for a comparison of the properties of the two estimators. The variances of both estimators are derived. The influence of the bias of the maximum likelihood estimator on estimation is analytically revealed. The distributions of the proposed estimators obtained by the delta approximation method are also presented. Performance comparisons are made with the two estimators. The following observations are made from the results. The MSE efficacy of the minimum variance unbiased estimator appears consistently high and increases rapidly as the sample size and variance, n and ${\sigma}^2$, become simultaneously small. To conclude, the minimum variance unbiased estimator outperforms the maximum likelihood estimator.

주변분포가 Laplace 분포인 세 가지 형태의 이변량 Laplace 분포를 연구한다. 각각의 이변량 Laplace 분포의 확률밀도함수와 누적분포함수를 유도하고, 분포의 그래프를 그려봄으로써 분포의 형태를 알아본다. 조건부 적률을 정리하여 조건부 첨도와 조건부 왜도를 구하고 분포의 성질을 파악한다. 상관계수를 구하여 다른 이변량 분포의 상관계수와 비교해 보았다. 그리고 정의된 분포함수를 응용하여 이변량 Laplace 분포를 따르는 난수벡터를 발생하는 알고리즘을 제안하였으며, 생성된 난수벡터의 표본으로부터 구한 표본평균과 중앙값의 분산-공분산 행렬식을 구하고 이변량 정규분포에 대응하는 행렬식과 비교 토론하였다.

네트웍 샘플링은 회귀한 속성을 갖는 모집단에서 유용한 표본조사방법이다. 기존의 중복수 추정량(multiplicity estimator)은 네트웍 샘플링의 특징을 반영하는 추정량으로 응답오차를 고려하지 않은 경우에 이용되었다. 본 논문에서는 응답오차를 고려한 경우와 이용할 수 있는 수정된 중복수 추정량을 제안하였다. 그리고 제안된 추정량의 기대값과 근사기대분산(approximate expexted variance)을 유도하였으며, 제안된 추정량이 기존의 모총수 추정량보다 화과적임을 가상모집단을 통하여 보였다.
