유해물질 용출방지제의 조성과 용출특성에 미치는 영향

  • CaO는 물과 반응하여 발열반응을 일으켜서 CaO에 코팅된 계면활성제를 용해시키며 그리고 규산소다에 흡착된 중금속과 유기물을 고정화 시키는 역할을 담당한다. 그리고 규산소다는 물과 가수분해하여 다공성이 되면서 중금속과 유기물 등을 흡착시키는 역할을 담당한다. 또 CaO에 코팅된 계면화성제는 기름과 반응성이 우수하므로 $80^{\circ}C$$90^{\circ}C$에서 용해하여 기름과 반응하는 특성을 갖고 있다. 미분 슬래그는 보간 중에 암석화되는 과정을 도와 주므로 시간이 경과하면 pH가 점점 중성으로 변화하는 현상을 보여 주었다.

  • The adsorption of 2-Chloro-4-(ethylamino)-6-(isopropylamino)-s-trazine (Atrazine) and 2-Chloro-2' 6' diethyl-N(methoxymethyl)acetanilide(Alachlor) by 21 Korean surface soils is studied and discussed in relation to some properties of soils. 1. Adsorption of Atrazine was correlated posisively with content of clay and organic matter, but negatively with extractable potassium content and sand content. 2. Adsorption of Alachlor was correlated positively with organic matter, caly content and CEC, but negatively with sand content 3. Isothermal adsorpsion of Alachlor was confirmed to the Freundlich eguation.

Leaching potential of butachlor, ethoprophos, iprobenfos, isoprothiolane and procymidone in soils as affected by adsorption characteristics (Butachlor, ethoprophos, iprobenfos, isoprothiolane 및 procymidone의 토양흡착성에 따른 용탈 잠재성 평가)

  • Soil adsorption study was carried out to define the mobility of pesticides or to evaluate leaching potential in soils. Five pesticides including ethoprophos, procymidone, iprobenfos, isoprothiolane, and butachlor were subjected to optimized adsorption experiment protocol for three types of cultivation soils. Freundlich adsorption coefficients (K) were ranged $0.35{\sim}0.95$ for ethoprophos, $0.98{\sim}2.2$ for iprobenfos, $1.2{\sim}4.3$ for procymidone, $1.5{\sim}3.5$ for isoprothiolane and $7.9{\sim}19$ for butachlor in three soils. Based on Koc values, ethoprophos was classified as mobile, iprobenfos, isoprothiolane and procymidone as moderately mobile and butachlor as slightly mobile. Two evaluation methods, Groundwater Ubiquity Score (GUS) index and standard indices of soil-chemical adsorption and biodegradation, were used for the estimation of pesticide leaching potential. Leachability of isoprothiolane and iprobenfos were evaluated as moderate, ethoprophos as a little potential, while butachlor and procymidone showed very low leaching potential. The leaching potential of pesticides was essentially determined on the basis of intrinsic properties of the pesticides and environmental properties. Among the soil properties, organic matter gave a great influence on the leachability of soils. Therefore, leachabilities of pesticides were expected less in loam with relatively higher organic matter than clay loam with lower organic matter.

Analysis of Hydrophobic Membrane Fouling on the COD Loading Rates at the State of Passive Adsorption in Membrane Bioreactor (생물학적 막분리 공정에서 수동흡착 상태에서의 유기물 유입 부하에 따른 소수성 막의 오염도 분석)

  • This paper investigated the membrane fouling potential at the state of passive adsorption which is no permeation with the test modules on COD (Chemical oxygen demand) loading rates, examined the recovery rate and resistance on membrane fouling by three cleaning manners of hydrophobic membrane in a bioreactor. The results showed that high COD loading led to the increase of extra-cellular polymeric substances and filtration resistance. The permeability resistance from 1st day to 63rd day was getting increased, however, the value of permeability resistance after 63th day during the operation period was almost same level at three COD loading rates, it was due that the biomass adhesion on membrane surface at the state of passive adsorption reached to the critical state. Also, the final recovery rates after three cleaning manners were 78%, 72% and 69% at the COD loading concentrations of 250 mg/L, 500 mg/L and 750 mg/L respectively, and then recovery rate by physical cleaning at Run 2 and Run 3 was decreased after 40th day, it proved that biomass cake, which is not easily removed, was formed on the membrane surface because of high COD loading rate and EPS concentration.

Potential of Contaminant Removal Using a Full-Scale Municipal Water Treatment System with Adsorption as Post-Treatment (실 규모 물 처리 공정 및 후속 흡착 처리에 의한 오염원 제거 잠재성 평가)

  • This study aimed to assess the efficacy of an adsorption process in removing organic matter and micropollutant residuals. After a full-scale water circulation system, the adsorption process was considered a post-treatment step. The system, treating anthropogenically impacted surface waters, comprises a hydro-cyclone, coagulation, flocculation, and dissolved air flotation unit. While the system generally maintained stable and satisfactory effluent quality standards over months, it did not meet the highest standard for organic matter (as determined by chemical oxygen demands). Adsorption experiments utilized two granular activated carbon types, GAC 830 and GCN 830, derived from coal and coconut-shell feedstocks, respectively. The assessment encompassed organic materials along with two notable micropollutants: acetaminophen (APAP) and acid orange 7 (AO7). Adsorption kinetics and isotherm experiments were conducted to determine adsorption rates and maximum adsorption amounts. The quantitative findings derived from pseudo-second-order kinetics and Langmuir isotherm models suggest the effectiveness of the adsorption process. The findings of this study propose the potential of employing the adsorption process as a post-treatment to enhance the treatment of contaminants that are not satisfactorily treated by conventional water circulation systems. This enhancement is crucial for ensuring the sustainability of urban water cycles.

  • Adsorption properties of heavy metals and organics in the mixed packed column of scoria and activated carbon, as well as physicochemical properties and functional groups of scoria were investigated. As the mixing ratio of scoria increased, the average removal ratios of cadmium, nickel, chromium, and lead ions increased, but that of benzene and toluene decreased. The mixed packed column of scoria and activated carbon could be effectively used for the simultaneous removal of heavy metals and organics. Scoria has Si-H and Si-O functional groups, and it was confirmed that Si-O functional groups greatly contributed to the adsorption of heavy metals.

  • 조류의 성장에 기인하여 대청호로부터 발생된 이취미와 천연유기물질의 제거를 위해 활성탄 흡착에 관한 파일롯 플랜트연구를 수행하였다. 대청호원수의 용존유기물질 농도는 1.5-3.5mg/1으로 나타났고, 이취미를 유발시킨 주 성분인 Geosmin농도는 가을에 60ng/1 이상이 검출되었다. 이는 8월말부터 발생하기 시작하여 10월말 까지 지속되었다. 이는 8월말부터 발생하기 시작하여 10월말 까지 지속되었다. 한국수자원공사 대청수도내 파일롯 플랜트는 재래식정수처리 시스템에 오존산화공정, 4개의 입상활성탄 흡착탑으로 구성되었다. 공탑체류시간(EBCT) 15분 이상에서, 이취미 발생기간동안 GAC 3지와 4지에서 이취미는 완전히 제거되었다. 활성탄 원료 종류별 DOC제거를 위한 파일롯연구에서 석탄계 활성탄으로 충진한 GAC 3지와 4지는 운전 3개월 후에 파괴되기 시작하였고, 이 후 4개월의 운전동안 약 40-50%의 일정한 제거효율을 보여주었다. 야자계 활성탄으로 충진된 GAC 2지는 2개월의 운전 후에 완전히 파괴되었다.

  • 중금속을 함유하는 폐수는 일반적으로 단일성분의 원소로 되어 있지 않고 여러 종류의 금속성분이나 유기물이 혼합된 상태로 발생되기 때문에 화학적인 중화나 분해로서 처리하기 곤란하므로 흡착성이 풍부한 광물질의 무기화학성분을 추출하여 흡착, 침전, 분리하는 방법을 이용할 수 있다. Aqua # 219는 폐수 처리용 약품으로 현재 사용하고 있는 설비를 일부 개조하거나 또는 기존설비를 그대로 사용하여 저렴한 가격으로 처리할 수 있는 중금속 흡착제이다.

사질토양에서의 PAC 함량에 따른 benzene의 흡착과 생분해 비교

  • 사질 토양에서의 유기물 함량이 벤젠의 흡착과 생분해에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위하여 다양한 분말 활성탄(PAC)함량 조건에서 비평형 배치 실험을 실시하였다. 비평형 배치실험에서 벤젠의 흡착과 생분해를 비교하기 위하여 BTEX 화합물에 대한 분해능이 우수한 Pseudomonas aeruginosam의 유무에 따른 두 가지의 실험 조건을 설정하였다. 실험 결과 반응 시간 1일까지 빠른 흡착양상을 보였으며, 2일부터 20일 까지는 매우 느린 흡착 양상을 보였다. 활성탄의 함량이 증가할수록 벤젠의 흡착은 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, Pseudomonas aeruginosa가 첨가된 실험에서는 PAC 함량이 증가할수록 흡착은 증가하였으 나 bioavailability factor (B$_{f}$ ) 값이 감소하였다. 이는 bioavailability가 흡착에 의해 제한됨을 지시한다.
