English sijo is the sijo poems written in English. This paper considered English sijo especially in association with its wit. In English-speaking countries, wit has been often emphasized as one of the main characteristics of the sijo genre, and it is often found in many English sijo poems. As a critical term, wit indicates a kind of "concord of discord", which consists of dissimilar images, paradox, irony, etc. This paper investigated how English sijo embodied this kind of critical wit and created three kinds of delight; those are intelligent, sarcastic, and humorous one. First, I examined old Korean sijo poems and the wit embedded in them, and then I compared them to the case of English sijo. Sijo was received in English-speaking countries in the context of the literary genre tradition such as the epigram and the sonnet, and of the literary concepts such as irony and wit. In this context, sijo, which has a three-divided semantic structure and a twist in the last part, often containing irony and wit, could be received and composed without much difficulty in Englih-speaking countries. Many English sijo poems contain wit, and they make abundant delight, which is intelligent, sarcastic, or humorous. Wit is found in Korean old sijo too, but the wit that catches humorous moments variously in everyday lives, rather than show acid sarcasm or exaggerated comic scene, is a remarkable characteristic of the English sijo. English sijo presents the possibility of the sijo genre as the poetry of everyday life, which presents various aspects of daily lives in a warm and delightful perspective.

IoT is emerging topic of the post-smartphone era. But IoT service is actually not easy but due to the absence of the open standard IoT service platform. In this study, We propose and implement IoT services platform using commercial SNS platform like Tweet, Facebook or YouTube. we implement the intelligent control system of the urban farm using our IoT services platform as an example. Our system can save an additional server deployment and management cost using open SNS platform like Tweet or Facebook or Youtube. In addition, there are needs to develop App. for the smartphone because we can take advantage of the user interface which is developed by global enterprises.

본 논문에서는 SNS 플랫폼 기반의 버티컬가든 관리시스템을 개발하였다. SNS 플랫폼 기반의 버티컬 가든 관리시스템은 트위트나 페이스 북과 같은 모바일을 지원하는 SNS 플랫폼을 활용하여 재배할 식물(작물)과 사용자가 감성적인 소통을 수행할 수 있도록 하고, 그 소통되는 감성 정보를 이용하여 식물의 생장을 효과적으로 관리할 수 있도록 해준다.

In this paper, the improved edge extract methods is proposed in order to extract edge. For the correct and fast detect, the binary image using the threshold value is applied for a experiment. For the experimental analysis, we compare the existing edge methods with the improved methods. Hereby, the exist methods are the sobel, robert, and prewitt. and the improved methods use the existing methods which is applied mask variations. The merits of the improved mothods have a result of a little erosion, a apparent edge. Specially, we use the grey image of medical image for the experimental analysis and then apply threshold value for a result image. After that, we acquire a apparent edge. For a quantitative analysis of the each methods, the each images was applied a histogram. As a result, we prove the merit of the improved methods using a analytical graph of the medical images.

기울기 연산자나 표면접합에 의한 윤곽추출과는 다른 본 논문에서는 확장과 수축방법론을 이용한 윤곽추출 및 잡음제거 방법론을 제안한다. 제안한 알고리즘은 전처리과정을 거친 후 확장과 수축 방법론을 적용함으로써 영상 윤곽 추출률을 높이고자한다 특히, 기존의 윤곽선 추출방법인 소벨과 프리위트알고리즘은 전처리과정인 미디안필터를 거친 후에 사용하였으며, 제안한 방법은 기존의 윤곽선 추출 필터를 거친 후에 사용하였다. 구체적으로 서술하면 확장알고리즘에서는 일정한 임계치를 초과하면 흰색으로 대치하였고, 수축 알고리즘에서는 검정색으로 대치했다. 기존의 잡음제거과정은 윤곽선의 손실은 없었으나 잡음제거가 소량 이루어졌으며, 제안한 방법에서는 약간의 윤곽선 손실을 보였으나 완전하게 잡음을 제거시킬 수 있었다.

생체 특징에 기초한 개인적인 및 인증 방법의 하나인 홍채의 패턴 인식에 있어서 전처리 기술은 사용자의 홍채 정보 손실로 인한 오인식을 최소로 하여야한다. 본 논문에서 전처리 기술 중 프리위트(Prewitt) 필터와 sobel 필터를 이용한 홍채의 인식률을 비교하고 전처리된 영상으로부터 추출된 특징값에 대해 저용량을 유지하면서 손실된 정보가 없고 실시간 처리가 요구되는 정보 보호를 위한 특징추출 방법 중 고차 국소 자동상관함수를 이용한 특징추출 방법을 제시하여 인식률을 향상시키는 방법을 제시하고자 한다.

This study examined the growth of herb plants in response to irrigation on a green rooftop area in order to select herb plants that can be used for rooftop greening. Apple Mint (Mentha suaveolens), Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), Spearmint (Mentha spicata), Pineapple sage (Salvia elegans), Choco Mint (Mentha ${\times}$ piperita 'Choco Mint'), Ox-eye Daisy (Chrysanthemum leucanthemum), Roman Chamomile (Anthemis nobilis) and Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) showed increased growth when irrigated. Conversely, Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia ), Peppermint (Mentha ${\times}$ piperita ), Vicks Plant (Plectranthus tomentosa), Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium), Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare), Lemon Verbena (Aloysia triphylla), Heliotrope (Heliotropium arborescens), Soapwort (Saponaria officinalis) and Lady's mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris) demonstrated satisfactory growth regardless of irrigation. Peppermint, Tansy, Lemon Verbena, Soapwort, and Lady's mantle seem to be suitable for green rooftop because of their overwintering ability and drought hardiness. Pineapple sage, Apple Mint and Thyme would seem to be inappropriate for rooftop greening because they showed negative growth response to drought and failed overwintering. Although Spearmint, Lemon balm, Choco Mint, Ox-eye Daisy and Roman Chamomile had reduced growth during dry conditions, they were able to overwinter satisfactorily and can be used as rooftop plants with irrigation.
