톱니형 휜이 부착된 원주의 근접후류특성 연구 (III) - 속도회복 메카니즘에 관하여 - (Characteristics of Near Wake Behind a Circular Cylinder with Serrated Fins (III) - Mechanism of Velocity Recovery -)

  • The characteristics of near wakes of circular cylinders with serrated fins are investigated experimentally using a hot-wire anemometer for various freestream velocities. Near wake structures of the fin tubes are observed using a phase average technique. With increasing fin height and decreasing fin pitch. oscillation of streamwise velocity increases. It file oscillation of lateral velocity decreases. The time averaged V-component velocity distribution of the finned tube is contrary to that of the circular cylinder due to the different strength of entrainment flow. This strength is affected by the distance of (equation omitted) = 1.0 contour lines. (equation omitted) = 1.0 contour line approaches to the wake center line when the fin density is increased. When the distance between (equation omitted) = 1.0 contour lines comes close the shear force should be increased and the flow toward the wake center line can be more strengthened because of the shear force. Factors related to the velocity recovery in the near wake of the finned tube are attributed to tile turbulent intensity, the boundary layer thickness. the position and strength of entrainment process.

원형분류확산화염에서의 음파가진에 의한 혼합효과 (Mixing Effect by Tone-Excitation In Round Jet Diffusion Flame)

  • An experimental investigation has been conducted with the objective of studying the mixing mechanism near the nozzle exit in a tone-excited jet diffusion flame. The fuel jet was pulsed by means of a loudspeaker-driven cavity. The excitation frequencies were chosen for the two cases of the non-resonant and resonant frequency identified as a fuel tube resonance due to acoustic excitation. The effect of tone-excitations on mixing pattern near the nozzle exit and flame was visualized using various techniques, including schlieren photograph and laser light scattering photograph from $TiO_2$ seed particles. In order to clarify the details of the flame feature observed by visualization methods, hotwire measurements have been made. Excitation at the resonant frequency makes strong mixing near the nozzle. In this case, the fuel jet flow in the vicinity of nozzle exit breaks up into disturbed fuel parcels. This phenomena affects greatly the combustion characteristics of the tone excited jet and presumably occurs by flow separation from the wall inside the fuel nozzle. As a result, in the resonant frequency the flame length reduces greatly.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the significant characteristics in atomization process of industrial etching spray fur the design or Precise pressure-swirl nozzles. The experiment was carried out with different viscosities and densities of the liquid. The macro characteristics of liquid spray, such as the spray angle and breakup process were captured by PMAS and the micro characteristics of liquid spray. such as droplet size and velocity measurements were obtained by PDA. The droplet axial and radial velocity and SMD were measured along axial and radial direction. The RMS of two velocities was measured along radial direction. It was found that the fluid with higher kinematic viscosity resulted in the larger SMD and the lower mean droplet velocity. And we could divide breakup processes into three regions that is atomization, non-dilution and dilution one in spray of pressure-swirl nozzle. The radial as well as axial velocity of droplet played an important role in the atomization process of higher kinematic viscosity fluid.

회전익 끝와류의 초기 난류 구조에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Turbulence Structure of Tip Vortices Generated by a Rotor Blade at the Initial Wake Age)

  • The evolutionary structure of a tip vortex in the initial period have been investigated by the two-dimensional LDV system. Circumferential and axial components of mean velocities, their turbulences and Reynolds stresses were measured by the phase averaging technique at seven different wake ages within one revolution of the rotor. Core growth was also analyzed. It was resulted that circumferential velocity components showed a Rankine combined vortex shape and their circulation profiles viewed in the radial direction were close to the n = 2 model of Vatistas' algebraic formula, while axial velocity components seemed to have the Gaussian profiles In these measured ranges with the base width of three times of core radii. Peaks of circumferential velocities and core radii showed distinct asymmetric behaviors before the wake age of $150^{\circ}$ over inboard and outboard sides of the slipstream, but they became symmetric afterwards. Turbulence profiles which had two peaks Inside the core radii in the earlier wake age were also changed to single peaks after $150^{\circ}$. These trends imply that the tip vortex was barely mature at this wake age.

ATM망에서 다중 멀티캐스팅 서버를 이용한 IP 멀티캐스팅 방안 (IP Multicasting Scheme in ATM Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 RFC 2022에서 제안한 MARS 모델을 기반으로 하여 단일 대규모 클러스터를 가지는 ATM 망에서 다중의 멀티캐스팅 서버(MCS)를 이용한 멀티캐스팅 방안을 제안하고 그 성능을 평가하였다. 클러스터 내의 한 ATM 호스트가 특정 IP 멀티캐스트 그룹에 가입할 경우 ATM 호스트의 위치와 이미 존재하는 멀티캐스팅 서버들 사이의 전송 지연을 고려하여 가능한 한 종단간 전송 지연을 최소화하는 멀티캐스팅 서버를 선택하는 방안을 기술하였다. 이 방안은 최단거리 경로 알고리즘(shortest path algorithm)에 기반하여 최적의 MCS를 선정하고 송수신자 사이의 최소 지연을 가지는 멀티캐스트 트리를 구성한다. 다양한 망 위상에서 MCS의 분포 패턴을 다르게 할 경우에도 이 방안은 멀티캐스트 트리의 평균 전달 지연을 줄이는 것을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 확인하였다.Abstract In this paper, we proposed a scheme to support multiple MCSs over a single and large cluster in ATM networks, evaluated its performance by simulation. When an ATM host requests joining into a specific multicast group, the MARS designate a proper MCS among the multiple MCSs for the group member to minimize the average path delay between the sender and the group members. This scheme constructs a multicast tree through 2-phase partial multicast tree construction based upon the shortest path algorithm.We reduced the average path delay in multicast tree using our scheme under various cluster topologies and MCS distribution scenarios.

울릉도 대수층 저장 및 회수기술의 현장 적용성 평가

  • 대수층 저장 및 회수(ASR)기술의 현장 적용성을 평가하기 위하여 경상북도 울릉군 울릉읍 저동천 상류부근에서 양수시험 및 주입시험을 실시하였다. 양수시험결과 투수계수는 $48.7m^2/day$ 이고, 저류계수는 0.009이며, 비양수량은 $158.2m^2/day$로 계산되었다. 또한 시험정과 관측정은 거의 위상차 없이 같은 수위강하 경향을 보여주며 취수정은 관측정보다 평균적으로 10cm 정도 더 높은 수위강하 폭을 보여주는 것으로 미루어 볼 때 시험정과 관측정의 두 지점은 서로 수리지질학적으로 긴밀히 연결되어 있는 하나의 시스템임을 강하게 시사한다. 이외에도 주입시험 결과 암반구간 대수층은 낮은 투수계수를 가질 뿐만 아니라 낮은 저류계수를 가지기 때문에 ASR에 불리한 조건을 가짐을 알 수 있다. 그러나 상부 충적층 구간에서 실시한 주입시험 결과, 두 지점은 긴밀히 연결된 하나의 시스템으로 두 지점의 심부 암반층과의 연결성은 없고, 대신 상부의 높은 투수계수를 가지는 충적층 구간이 두 지점사이에 서로 긴밀히 연결되어 있는 것으로 파악된다. 또한 잔류 수위가 0으로 떨어지는 것으로 볼 때 주입된 주입수는 저장되지 않고 인근의 저동천으로 빠져나가는 것으로 사료된다. 이상의 사실로 볼 때 본 연구지역은 ASR에 불리한 조건을 가지는 지역으로 최종적으로 판단된다.

횡방향 유속 변화에 따른 고압 가솔린 스월 인젝터의 분무특성 (Spray Characteristics of High Pressure Gasoline Swirl Injector with Various Cross-flow Speeds)

  • The spray prepared for direct fuel injection into cylinder is of great importance in a DISI(Direct Injection Spark Ignition) engine. The interaction between air flow and fuel spray was investigated in a steady flow system embodied in a wind tunnel to simulate the variety of in-cylinder flow conditions in the DISI engine. The Mie-scattering images presented the macroscopic view of the liquid spray fields interacting with cross-flow Particle sizes of fuel droplets were measured with phase Doppler anemometer(PDA) system. A faster cross-flow field made SMD larger and $D_10$ smaller. The atomization and evaporation processes with a DISI injector were observed and consequently utilized to construct the database on the spray and fuel-air mixing mechanism as a function of the flow characteristics.

정지 및 회전하는 원주에 의한 난류후류의 응집구조 (An Investigation of the Coherent Structures in Turbulent Wake Past a Stationary and Rotating Cylinder)

  • Turbulent coherent structures in the intermediate wake of a stationary and rotating cylinder, spin rate S=0.7, situated in a uniform were experimentally investigated using a conditionalphase average technique. Measurements were carried out at a section of 8.5 diameters downstream form the center of cylinder and a Reynolds number of $Re=6.5{\times}10^{3}.$/TEX> The phase averaged velocity and velocity vector fields, contours of vorticity, turbulent intermittency function and velocity fluctuation energy are presented and discussed in relation to the large scale coherent structures by Karman vortices that shed periodically from the cylinder. Coherent wake structures of the rotating cylinder is almost identical with stationary cylinder, but the lateral displacement and shrinkage of turbulent wake region is occured by rotation. Rotation of the cylinder result in that the deflection of wake center to deceleration region(Y/D${\simeq}-0.3)$ and the decrease of mean velocity defect(10%), vorticity strength of large scale structures(19%), total velocity fluctuation energy(12%).

지구 비대칭 중력장이 정지위성에 미치는 효과 (RESONANCE EFFECT ON THE GEOSYNCHRONOUS ORBIT DUE TO THE NON-ZONAL GEOPOTENTIAL)

  • 지구의 중력장 중에서 비대칭 중력장이 정지위성의 궤도요소에 미치는 섭동을 계산하였다. 지구의 비대칭 중력장(non-zonal geopotential)에 의한 섭동이 인공위성의 궤도요소에 미츤 영향은 $J_2$항 또는 Luni-Solar섭동에 의한 영향보다는 작지만, 이 지구 비대칭 중력장 함수에는 sine값이 1이 되는 강한 공명항이 존재한다. 따라서 지구의 비대칭 중력장 중 이러한 공명항에 의한 정지위성의 궤도요소 변화를 구하였다. 지구의 비대칭 중력장에 의해서 섭동을 받는 궤도 이심률의 변화를 $e_c$$e_s$의 위상면상에서 나타냈고, 평균경도($L_c$)와 궤도 반장경(a)에 대한 변화양상도 구하였다.

회전하는 선박 프로펠러 전방 유입류에 대한 PIV 속도장 해석 (PIV Velocity Field Analysis of Inflow ahead of a Rotating Marine Propeller)

  • Flow characteristics of the inflow ahead of a rotating propeller attached to a container ship model were investigated using a two-frame PIV (Particle Image Velocimetry) technique. Ensemble-averaged mean velocity fields were measured at four different blade phases. The mean velocity fields show the acceleration of inflow due to the rotating propeller and the velocity deficit in the near-wake region. The axial velocity distribution of inflow in the upper plane of propeller is quite different from that in the lower plane due to the thick hull boundary layer. The propeller inflow also shows asymmetric axial velocity distribution in the port and starboard side. As the inflow moves toward the propeller, the effect of phase angle variation of propeller blade on the inflow becomes dominant. In the upper plane above the propeller axis the inflow has very low axial velocity and large turbulent kinetic energy, compared with the lower plane. The boundary layer developed along the bottom surface of stern hull forms a strong shear layer affecting vortex structure of the propeller near-wake.
