Development of Convergence Education (STEAM) Program for High School Credit System (고교학점제를 위한 융합교육(STEAM) 프로그램 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a STEAM program that can be used in the high school credit system to be fully implemented in 2025, and to examine its validity and effectiveness. The STEAM program analyzed the 2015 revised curriculum centering on science, technology, and engineering through the 2015 revised curriculum analysis, and then selected the five latest issues: hydrogen fuel, climate crisis, data science, appropriate technology, and barista. In accordance with this self-developed program development format (frame), it was developed for seven months through a process of group deliberation. The draft of the STEAM program for 29 sessions of five types, developed to indirectly experience the career path and occupation of high school students, was verified through consultation with 2 STEAM education experts. It was applied at five different high schools for a pilot implementation. As a result of the pilot application, it was confirmed that the students' STEAM attitude significantly improved in the post-test than the pre-test, and the students' high satisfaction with the program was confirmed. In addition, through an interview with the pilot application teacher, it was positively evaluated that 'the content and level of the program are suitable and through experience solving real-life problems, you can apply the content knowledge of related subjects and have an opportunity to experience careers.' Based on the results of the pilot application, the high school credit system STEAM program for students and teachers was finally completed in 29 lessons of five types. Through this study, the development and operation of the next-generation STEAM program that can be applied in the high school credit system should be actively developed, and a plan to improve teachers' professionalism so that the high school credit system can be established and operated properly for blended classes triggered by COVID-19. The necessity of design was suggested. This study is expected to be used as basic data for the development and operation of STEAM programs in the high school credit system, which will be fully implemented in 2025.

Our korean verse thinks of nature as residing space, and is singing life that is nature friendship and nature assimilation in relation of indivisibility sto of human and nature. And nature space of metaphor or symbol is forming by ecological imagination in the modern novel. Therefore, these two genres see that traffic is available in diachronic synthetic relation. First, must escape resolutely in ideas that literature is basing in actuality and search the literature-ecological imagination. Therefore, forward literature may have to look for the literature-ecological imagination with many interests to green literature ecology and show image that move constantly. And must approach appearing common view of nature and the literature-ecological imagination in principle of integration of expropriation and production now all round to our literary productions. Therefore, must do so that can be nature friendship and become practical education model that expropriation of ecological literary productions and production activity foster literary sensibility and imagination. Also, lively research and groping about each genre of a Korean literature are to premised in diachronic and synthetic veins I will. Method groping that adapt on New Age as defending peculiar special quality that founder is keeping korean verse with opened thinking may have to be spread more hard. Therefore, genre of novel can may ready the one clue to grope confrontation method naturally to secure new identity in new literature environment of digital age.

New Perspectives on Sunday School of Korean Church for Next Generation (다음 세대와 한국교회 주일학교의 새 전망)

  • In the early 21st century, the global COVID-19 pandemic, which has arisen during the development of the technological science of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, has been a great challenge in all fields including politics, economy, industry, education and religion in Korean society. To prevent the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Korean government announced 'social distancing guidelines,' focused on the 'prohibition of three conditions'(crowd, closeness, airtight) for safety reasons. These quarantine guidelines made it more difficult for Korean churches and Sunday schools to operate. In general, looking at the statistical data of the major denominations of the Korean Church in the second half of the 20th century, shows that the Church has entered a period of stagnant or declining growth. Data also show that the number of students attending Sunday School is decreasing. The researcher identified four causes of the crisis faced by the Korean church and Korean Sunday school entering the 21st century. These trends are influenced by the tendencies of postmodernism, the deconstruction of modern universalism, the certainty and objectivity of knowledge, and the grand narrative and worldview of diffusion. Moreover, it is a phenomenon in which the young population decreases in contrast to the increasing elderly population in the age of population cliff in Korean society. Sunday Schools are also facing a crisis, as the youth population, who will become the future heroes of the Korean church, is declining. Finally, constraints of Church and Sunday school education activities are due to COVID-19 Pandemic. As analysis shows the loss of the Church's educational vision and a decrease in the passion for education. Accordingly, the researcher suggests four new strategies for the next generation of Korean Sunday schools, whose ranges from 200 members or less; this range covers the majority of Sunday School program run by churches in Korea. First, in the age of postmodernism, a time of uncertainty and relativism, Christian Societies requires teachers who are certain of absolute Christian truth and faith. Second, in an era of declining population cliffs for younger generations, a shift to a home-friendly Sunday school paradigm is needed. Third, during the COVID-19 pandemic, educational activities must appropriately utilize face-to-face and non-face-to-face communication. Finally, even in difficult times, Korean Sunday school should nevertheless remember the Lord's great commandment(Matthew 28:18-20) and restore the vision and passion of education to announce and teach the gospel. The researcher hopes that this study will provide small, positive steps in rebuilding Korean Sunday school educational activities for future generations in difficult times.

A Study of the Occupational Socialization of Novice English Teachers at the First Years (영어 초임교사의 교직 사회화에 관한 연구)

  • There is a paucity of research on socialization of novice teachers that has been found to have influence on their career through studies in different subject fields in various regions. This study addresses how novice English teachers perceive their socialization at the first years. It aims to draw implications for novice teacher support for training and professional development. Data were obtained from a questionnaire survey. From the review of the relevant literature, six themes were identified as significant factors in novice teachers' socialization process: relationship with pupils, teaching, rapport with colleagues, support from headteachers, relationship with parents, and expectations from the society. There were 44 questions under six key factors. 99 secondary English novice teachers participated in the survey. The analysis of the gathered responses to each question reveals information on their socialization process to become a secondary English teacher including adaptation challenges for professional development, which have been neglected but are gaining more attention from different stakeholders. This is being increasingly supported in the time of the coronavirus (COIVD-19) pandemic crisis, disruption and recovery. The study is concluded with some implications for research on novice teacher induction, and teacher education policy and practice.

School-to-Work Transition in the United States (미국의 학교-노동 이행에 관한 연구)

  • US government and leaders in education have deeply paid an attention to the transition from school to work as we live in an era of globalization and fierce competion between countries. Industrial leaders, on the one hand, stress that schools should be reformed to adapt to changing technical environment. On the other hand, general educators still maintain that school education should strive to educate people to be a good citizen. However, fierce competition between countries under the remarkable development of computer and information technique has led the US government to create new programs of the transition from school to work. However, parents as well as students are still suspicious that diplom of high school with stress in skills is enough to keep a stable job, guarantee a satisfactory salary, and mai lain a social status. Accordingly they are more likely to use the school-to-work program as a supplement to the transition to college than to participate in the program to get a good job after high school. Each state in the US prepares its own program of the school-to-work transition with financial supports from the federal government. But the prospect of the programs in each state is not optimistic as financial supports from the federal government have decreased. The school-to-work transition program is strongly needed not only for those half who do not go to college but also for the US government that requires workers with a high level of skills. Nonetheless, the program is not firmly established in the US yet.

A Study on the Current status and the Educational Needs of Entrepreneurship Education Program : Focused on Elementary and Secondary School Teachers (초·중등 기업가정신 교육 현황과 교육요구도 분석: 초·중등 교사를 대상으로)

  • This study reviews the current status of entrepreneurship education programs in elementary and secondary schools, and analyzes the following educational needs among teachers. We have made the following conclusions from the study. First, career development teachers shared a strong need for entrepreneurship education programs. Second, the programs provided by these teachers were substandard despite the strong need expressed. In particular, insufficient training period and incentives were provided to teachers involved in the programs, and the teachers exhibited low standards in job specialization and class evaluation abilities. Third, the awareness of people involved in the education scheme was most critical in the cultivation and activation of entrepreneurship educations-according to the Borich educational demand calculations comparing the required and actual entrepreneurship education standards. In summary, the general educational conditions, such as the teachers' job specialization, educational support and environment, and partakers' awareness, were lacking in entrepreneurship education programs aimed at the youth. To stimulate the programs' effectiveness, teachers must be better trained; the programs should be better advertised; and specialization should be cultivated during training. Furthermore, the government's support towards program development and diversification through appropriate policies should aim to help the education's recipients in their proactive career development during the current 4th industrial revolution.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the way university students appreciate the meaning of life. The subjects were 1, 2, 3, and 4 grade students from four universities located in Gyeonggido and Gangwondo Provinces; This study was a descriptive research project conducted from March to June 2015 for the purpose of understanding how university students appreciate the meaning of life. The data, gathered from interviews with a number of university students, who are at the last stage of adolescence, were classified into 102 statements and 30 categories through a series of content analyses of certain subjects, such as the definition and importance of the meaning of life, the endeavor to make life meaningful, the moments they feel the meaning of life, and the methods they adopt to feel the meaning of life. We analyzed the ways in which university students appreciate the meaning of life. We hope this study will provide a small guide for them so that the meaning of their lives can be enriched and their feeling of well-being enhanced. In addition, it is necessary to develop appropriate measures for college students to deal with crises in their life and, thus, the results of this study could be used as an important material for the systematic development of support programs for college students. Finally, this study will provide the basis for multifaceted interventions designed to improve the physical and mental health of college students and help them to adapt to college life.

Case study of organization and operation expansion in General high school technology course (일반 고등학교 기술과 교육과정 편성·운영 사례 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the process and meaning of the expansion of the technology education curriculum of general high school. For the study, research problems were set up according to the procedure of case study method, and cases suitable for research were identified and data were collected through interviews with the teachers of the schools. The examples used in the study were two high schools in Gyeonggi - do, and the collected data were visualized in concept form through semantic analysis process. The results of the two schools are summarized as follows. First, the revision of unit school curriculum has been started through crisis and challenge awareness. Second, it is necessary to use the free lecture system suggested in the 2015 revised curriculum. Third, students should change their perceptions of students and curriculum by enhancing class through various skills and education activities suitable for high school level. Fourth, we must continuously strive to develop professionalism as a technology teacher. It is difficult to expand the curriculum of the school because there is only one technology teacher in the general high school. However, through the cases of this study, it is expected that the importance of the technology subject and the change of awareness will be realized as various education activities for the career choice in the high school credit system. do.

  • Faced with various challenges given from internal or external, universities and colleges, about 300 in number, began to feel one another as their rival and recognized advertising marketing as a solution of unlimited competition and were in serious action for advertising. School advertising has suddenly increased in quantity, but falls in creative strategy of qualitative level behind corporate or product advertising. This study suggests effective creative strategy, based on comprehension of characteristics of school advertising and on analysis of creative as a strategy, of advertisements put by schools. School advertising demands the approach different from commercial dimension of corporate advertising, because schools are characteristic of public interests. Schools need to take positive creative strategy of image advertising instead of passive type of recruitment announcement.   • This article intends to draw the Road map of Korean International Animation Festival through the research of background and its identity of 4 International Animation Film Festivals Such as Annecy, Zagreb, Ottawa and Hiroshima. I was given opportunity to visit Annecy since 2009, it brought me to the real attraction of animation for watching of pleasure and passion of the people those who love animations. For the combining more advanced system and structure for Animation Festival in Korea, I had to do research all the information from the documents from the Annecy Collections. though I have not get the chance to go others except Annecy, However, I could get their background and history whenever I met the other Festival Committee Members. These Festivals showed us successful Road Map for the Animation Festivals in Korea as a role model. For the getting advanced system of Animation Festivals in Korea. It requires the animation theater for animation, effort for the Audiences's Convenience and international network composition system. However, the last task of us is to make people to entertain and enjoy the animation Films, its world of attraction.
