When a consumer intends to purchase products through Internet stores, many difficulties are met because of limitations of the current search engines and the current web structure, and lack of tools supporting decision-makings. This paper raises an Internet shopping problem and proposes a framework of decision making process to settle it with an intelligent agent based on Semantic Web and Finite Domain Constraint. The agent uses finite domain constraint programming as modeling and solution methods for the decision problem under the Semantic Web environment.

Programming education in the area of ICT instruction is usually considered as contributing to the improvement of one's analytical power, logic in thinking, and procedural problem-solving capabilities. However, it is hard to get access to adequate web coursewares in suit with their intellectual level of development of Korean elementary students. Most of the existing coursewares, if any, are dealing with high level and theory-oriented contents, and accordingly are quite difficult for the elementary students to understand them. In addition, it is very difficult to practice them on the Web. Drawing upon some ideas on the theories of Web-based design and learning, this study tries to develop and materialize a fresh learning courseware for Visual Basic. The Web courseware thus developed allows students to learn the basics of visual basic programming as well as the basic grammar. It also provides students with an environment that enables students to code and run programs on the Web.

The purpose of this study is to understand what is ActiveX control and how to utilize it in developing dynamic web pages. For this purpose, some literature survey and experimental practices with PC were done to understand the differences among web programming technologies such as visual basic, java, XML web services. In order to scrutinize the functions of ActiveX controls and the comparison of their technology with currently introduced XML web service, a study on the history of Internet programming with a focused view on ActiveX control was also performed. With the knowledge of the fore mentioned, Actual design and building experiments of web pages using ActiveX control pad were implemented. The results show that Microsoft ActiveX controls, formerly known as OLE controls or OCX controls, developed to compete with java applet in internet battle fields, turn out to be useful in software reusability, cost-saving and time-saving etc. However, the use of ActiveX controls has been confined in window platform, Overall, this study was useful for understanding the usage of ActiveX controls in web pages.

The computer programming education is very important to study the related subjects in computer science, and also in the technology education for the students finding employment. In this paper, we develop the assessment metrics to evaluate and apply the textual and visual programming in the computer education. Also, we analyze the validity for the programming languages and tools for the education and getting job of students, and choose the appropriate programming language/tool for programming education. And, we develop the curriculum for programming education, finally apply and analyze in computer education of university. Especially, we compare and analyze the effectiveness for the text based programming language(JAVA) and visual programming language/environment(LabVIEW) in the area of embedded/mobile/Web programming fields which are necessary in the related industry to the recent trend of IT technology.

웹 프로그래밍을 공부하는 학생들이 본인들이 만든 웹 페이지를 서버에 호스팅하여 관리하기는 쉽지 않다. 본 논문에서는 스프링 프레임워크를 기반으로 반응형 웹을 개발하고 개발한 웹 페이지를 아마존 웹 호스팅 서비스를 이용하여 호스팅하는 과정을 다룬다. 스프링 프레임워크는 POJO(Plain Old Java Object) 방식의 프레임워크로써 특정한 인터페이스를 구현하거나 상속을 받을 필요가 없어 기존에 존재하는 라이브러리 등을 지원하기에 용이하고 객체가 가벼우며, CSS를 사용한 반응형 웹은 모바일에서도 접근하기 쉬우므로 높은 접근성을 제공한다. 이렇게 개발한 웹 페이지를 호스팅 하여 관리하는 것은 특히 입문단계의 개발자에게 큰 도움이 될 것이다.

Educational programming languages help learners to easily understand and use computer system itself. They also enhance the reasoning power and the contemplative faculty of learners. However, in spite of the importance of educational programming languages in education, there has not been much research and development on them compared with general purpose programming languages. In this paper, we propose and examine a new educational programming environment TWo (Turtle World) which is designed for learners to utilize the recent information technologies. Aimed at being used as a learning and working tool for multimedia programming and processing, TWo is a web-based reflective object-oriented Hangul programming environment which provides each learner with the learning environment according to his intellectual ability to learn.

The current web implementation largely falls into process-oriented and object-oriented methods. Both ways implement the programs to be used for simple design of external outfit and auxiliary function of hybrid webs and it might lead to cost problems arising from waste of time and man-power to develop with it. Therefore, managed structural system programming which can be applied under .NET framework is suggested in a bid to solve these problems. The structural system design method under .NET environment by applying CS concept prefers to adopting the optimized design configuration suited to proper interfaces of UI configuration, which offers the environment to maintain the inheritance relationship by taking form of the balanced class allotment by domain, and continue to keep the connectivity between UX and UI which leads to application of interface of UX objects as form of objects through connection with objects in class design process. This development method enables programs to be implemented focused on representation methods of UI and UX, and helps relieve much of the burden on development costs.

R is a free software for statistical analysis that provides simple interfaces to other application programs. Many people are trying to learn R, but it is difficult to learn R compared to commercial software such as SPSS or SAS, and it is cumbersome to provide an environment to teach R. Thus, it is essential to provide a new web-based R environment for novice users or for laboratory use. We developedWebER (a web-based R environment) using PHP on the Linux apache server. WebER can be easily used by any R user because we implemented the same functions as the basic Rgui such as editing R program, generating the text, image outputs, errors and warnings. It is also possible for multi-users to access WebER.

최근 웹의 폭발적인 성장으로 인하여 웹을 교육의 매개체로 활용하려는 노력이 활성화되고 있다. 그러나 현재 대부분의 웹 기반 교육 시스템들은 대체로 수동적이며, 정적인 하이퍼텍스트 위주이기 때문에, 학습상황을 수시로 점검할 수 있는 상호작용기능이 부족하고, 특정 학습자의 학습결과에 따른 동적인 학습환경의 제시가 어렵다. 일반적으로 웹기반 교육시스템은 다양한 지식계층의 사람들에게 노출되어 있기 때문에 보다 상세한 학습전략이 요구되며, 따라서 최근에는 기존의 지능형 교수시스템(Intelligent Tutoring System: ITS)에서 연구된 풍부한 기술들을 웹 환경에 도입함으로서 보다 지능적이며 적응력 있는 시스템개발에 관한 연구가 활성화되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 웹 기반 교육시스템에서의 문제점들을 해소하기 위한 한가지 방안으로 ITS의 동적 교수계획기법을 웹 기반 시스템에 도입한다. 문제영역으로 C 프로그래밍 언어 학습을 선정하여 이를 웹 기반 교수시스템으로 설계하고 구현하였다. 또한 기존 시스템들의 서버 집중형 구조에서 탈피하여 CORBA를 이용한 분산기반구조로 시스템 개발에 접근하였다.
