Development and validation of poisson cluster stochastic rainfall generation web application across South Korea (포아송 클러스터 가상강우생성 웹 어플리케이션 개발 및 검증 - 우리나라에 대해서)

  • This study produced the parameter maps of the Modified Bartlett-Lewis Rectangular Pulse (MBLRP) stochastic rainfall generation model across South Korea and developed and validated the web application that automates the process of rainfall generation based on the produced parameter maps. To achieve this purpose, three deferent sets of parameters of the MBLRP model were estimated at 62 ground gage locations in South Korea depending on the distinct purpose of the synthetic rainfall time series to be used in hydrologic modeling (i.e. flood modeling, runoff modeling, and general purpose). The estimated parameters were spatially interpolated using the Ordinary Kriging method to produce the parameter maps across South Korea. Then, a web application has been developed to automate the process of synthetic rainfall generation based on the parameter maps. For validation, the synthetic rainfall time series has been created using the web application and then various rainfall statistics including mean, variance, autocorrelation, probability of zero rainfall, extreme rainfall, extreme flood, and runoff depth were calculated, then these values were compared to the ones based on the observed rainfall time series. The mean, variance, autocorrelation, and probability of zero rainfall of the synthetic rainfall were similar to the ones of the observed rainfall while the extreme rainfall and extreme flood value were smaller than the ones derived from the observed rainfall by the degree of 16%-40%. Lastly, the web application developed in this study automates the entire process of synthetic rainfall generation, so we expect the application to be used in a variety of hydrologic analysis needing rainfall data.

Development and Formative Evaluation of Web-based Contents for Engineering Mathematics Based on a Computer Algebra System (컴퓨터 대수 시스템 기반의 이공계 수학용 웹 콘텐츠 개발과 형성 평가)

  • The aim of this paper is to develop a web-based learning system in order to motivate college students in the area of science and engineering to study college calculus. We designed and developed web-based contents, named MathBooster, using Mathematica, webMathematica and phpMath taking advantages of rapid computation and symbolic computation. The features of MathBooster consists of four parts: graphical representation of calculus concepts, textual illustrations of conceptual understanding, example-based step-by-step learning with phpMath, and quizzes with diagnostic feedback. After the MathBooster was practiced with engineering students, the formative evaluation was conducted with survey items composed in four categories: user responses, screen layout, practicing examples and diagnostic feedback in solving quizzes. The overall level of user satisfaction was statistically measured using SPSS. Those results indicate which parts of MathBooster are needed for future enhancement.

A study on educational content design of web-based communication for interaction (상호작용을 위한 웹기반 의사소통 교육의 콘텐츠 설계 연구)

  • This study seeks to validate the development and the effectiveness of a web-based online education program used to enhance communication skills of college students. Communication skills are important skills demanded of college students seeking employment that play a significant role in self-introduction, presentations, interviews, and continuous interaction in the workplace. 105 students in the third and fourth year of D University were selected for the experimental and control groups in which the experimental group met once a week for one semester in 2013 for a total of 16 weeks(twenty minutes) while the control group was left untreated. The variable of effectiveness for the results of this study was based on the criteria of communication and performance behavior skills. The results show that the communication skills and performance behavior skills proficiency of the experimental group compared to the control group, have made dramatic improvements. Therefore, the web-based communication skills training program for college students was found to be effective in the enhancement of the communication skills of college students. For the future, we expect further sustained development of various effective capabilities programs along with the promotion of web-based online education.

A Comparative Study of Feature Selection Methods for Korean Web Documents Clustering (한글 웹 문서 클러스터링 성능향상을 위한 자질선정 기법 비교 연구)

  • This Paper is a comparative study of feature selection methods for Korean web documents clustering. First, we focused on how the term feature and the co-link of web documents affect clustering performance. We clustered web documents by native term feature, co-link and both, and compared the output results with the originally allocated category. And we selected term features for each category using $X^2$, Information Gain (IG), and Mutual Information (MI) from training documents, and applied these features to other experimental documents. In addition we suggested a new method named Max Feature Selection, which selects terms that have the maximum count for a category in each experimental document, and applied $X^2$ (or MI or IG) values to each term instead of term frequency of documents, and clustered them. In the results, $X^2$ shows a better performance than IG or MI, but the difference appears to be slight. But when we applied the Max Feature Selection Method, the clustering Performance improved notably. Max Feature Selection is a simple but effective means of feature space reduction and shows powerful performance for Korean web document clustering.

  • The web-based crowdfunding platform provides small-cap companies the opportunity to reduce financial risks and to reliably produce new products through pre-orders. Meanwhile, crowdfunding projects are also helping companies as a channel to test new products before mass production. Despite these advantages, from the point of view of businesses and consumers, it is true that web-based crowdfunding platforms have limitations in the retail environment. For example, the limited social elements of a web-based platform are somewhat in conflict with the basic characteristics of crowdfunding projects - which inevitably demand high social influences for the success. As such, understanding the mechanisms of social factors of crowdfunding platforms from the consumers' perspective is important. Therefore, in this study, we empirically tested the effect of social factors of crowdfunding platform on consumer participation and evaluation. Based on the Social Influence Theory and Social Presence Theory, we developed a conceptual framework where the social group size and social presence of other backers were the independent variables and the purchaser's intention to participate as the dependent variable. In the results, the size of the social group size and the perceived social presence have a significant positive effect on purchaser's participation intent. In addition, the social presence had a greater influence on the purchaser's intention to participate than the size of the sponsor's social group. We believe that our findings contribute to the extant literature by empirically demonstrating the valid effect of social factors of crowdfunding platforms on consumer evaluations.

Research on the influence of web celebrity live broadcast on consumer's purchase intention - Adjusting effect of web celebrity live broadcast contextualization

  • The purpose of this paper is to explore the influence of the "contextualization" effect of web celebrity live broadcast on the e-commerce platform on consumers' perception of product value, risk and purchase intention. Live in this paper, using Taobao shopping consumers as the research object, the survey method, questionnaire survey is adopted, the form through the questionnaire and distributed network, a live in order to further validation of web celebrity effect of contextualized actual influence on consumer purchase intention, questionnaire design the Likert scale, seven and recycling questionnaire analysis using the statistical software SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 22.0 after processing the data. After determining the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, the exploratory factor analysis was used to verify the hypothesis and calculate the actual adjustment degree of the "contextualization" effect of web celebrity live broadcasting on consumers' purchase intention. The research results of this paper are summarized as follows :(1) consumers' perceived value of products can significantly positively affect their purchase intention, while perceived risk has a significantly negative impact on their purchase intention; (2) consumers' trust and purchase intention to products are regulated by the "contextualization" of web celebrity live broadcast. Specifically, for web celebrity live broadcasting with good "contextualization" effect, the perceived value of consumer products has a positive impact on product trust, which is higher than that of web celebrity live broadcasting with poor "contextualization" effect. In terms of resolving consumers' perceived risks to products, web celebrity live broadcast with good "contextualization" effect is also significantly better than web celebrity live broadcast with poor "contextualization" effect. Based on empirical analysis, this paper concludes that web celebrity live broadcasting will become a new breakthrough for the sustainable growth of the e-commerce industry, and puts forward Suggestions on the e-commerce marketing mode and the transformation of web celebrity live broadcasting industry.

The development of an AI PigMoS System for the efficient construction of Pig Improvement System (효율적인 돼지개량체계 구축을 위한 AI PigMoS 시스템의 개발)

  • 양돈산업에서의 인공수정(Artificial Insemination, AI) 기술은 1994년 이후 본격적으로 국내 양돈농가에 보급되어 양돈 산업 발전에 기초가 되었다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고 전국 AI센터의 정액 생산 및 공급체계에 관한 통합관리는 전무한 상태이며, 전국 50여개의 AI센터에서 생성된 정보는 독립된 개별시스템에 의해 관리되고 있다. 이는 전염성이 강한 질병 발생에 대한 대응방안 모색과 전국적인 돼지개량 정책 등을 종합적으로 수립할 때 통합정보관리 분석의 한계점을 가지게 한다. 이에 웹을 기반으로 전국 AI센터의 정액생산 및 공급체계 등에 관하여 통합할 수 있는 AI PigMoS 시스템을 제안하고 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 AI PigMoS 시스템은 웹을 기반으로 전국 AI센터의 정보를 통합관리 운영할 수 있다. 제안된 시스템은 웅돈, 정액생산 및 판매관리 등에 대해서 이력추적을 할 수 있도록 설계하였으며, 고객관리, 회계, 통계 및 경영관리 등에 대해서는 통합적으로 관리 운영할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 이는 전국 AI센터의 효율적인 관리운영 뿐만 아니라 통합된 AI센터 관련정보의 분석 및 미래 예측자료 등으로 활용되어 효율적인 돼지개량 체계를 구축할 것으로 기대한다.

  • Nowadays, the design and development of footwear are focused on not only to protect feet against some injuries also to satisfy its personality and high-quality based on customer' subjective sensibilities. Many image source based human sensibility is needed to establish concept of footwear by new idea in design process. For satisfying costumer's and designer's disires, this study is concerned to evaluate and analyze images using human sensibility and construct image source D/B according to the result. The image evaluation performed by internet is used 1,000 Images classified into four groups(structure or architecture, transportation device, natural articles and home appliance), and 300 subjects are participated. Finally, the web D/B is constructed by the result of image evaluation that is performed statistical analysis(basic statistic, factoranalysis and multi-scaled analysis).

  • Various education information resources are provided for elementary and junior high schools. In order to operate these resources efficiently, operation conditions on the current education information resources should be accurately examined. After analyzing this information, a good plan on the national level should be made. In order to accurately analyze the conditions of the operation such as how the real field utilizes the school's education information resources, an efficient survey analysis system that go beyond time and space is designed and implemented.

  • 본 연구에서는 실시간 어장환경정보시스템 개발을 위하여 기존의 시스템에 대한 문제점을 제시하고, 자료의 효율적굴 관리 및 서비스를 위한 통신방식의 통일과 통합 DB 구축에 초점을 두었다. 또한, 관리자모드에서 전송된 자료를 실시간 확인할 수 있는 모니터링시스템을 구축하여 자료관리의 효율성을 유지하도록 하였다. 현재 본 시스템은 통계 분석된 자료를 제공하고 있으나, 이 부분에 대해서는 지속적인 개발이 요구된다. 또한, 실시간 어장환경정보시스템 웹 서비스를 강화하기 위하여 진행되고 있는 분석 자료는 실시간 30분 간격 자료 이외에 1일, 7일, 15일, 월별 및 연도별에 대한 평균 자료를 제공하고자 한다.
