Intelligent Tutoring System based on Wired and Wireless Internet for the living English 300-certifications Program (생활영어 300 인증제를 대비한 유무선 기반 지능형 교육 시스템)

  • According to the increasing of the internet infrastructure and growth of contents technology, the users can access an education service at anytime and anywhere. In a field of English education, especially, internet technology has enabled learners to communicate with their teachers and multimedia contents technology has been able to provide learner not only lots of interests, but also good effect on English learning. In this paper, we propose a method diagnosing learner's level by using some question-items, which consist of item's type and item's function. Futhermore, the proposed system can support three devices which are PC, PDA, and Mobile Phone on wired and wireless internet communication environments. Also, the system provides multimedia contents including flash movies, image, and audio contents. We have applied the system into real classroom, and we verified that the question-items that system provides has no problem, and our method could improve each learner skill on English education. Therefore, we expect that learner who uses the proposed system will get level-based English learning service at anytime and anywhere.

  • In leaner-controlled environment where learners can decide and restructure the contents, methods and order of learning by themselves, it is possible to apply individualized learning in consideration of each learner's characteristics. The present study analyzed learners' learning path pattern, which is one of learners' characteristics important in Web-based teaching-learning process, using the Apriori algorithm and grouped learners according to their learning path pattern. Based on the result, we designed and implemented a multi-dimensional learning path pattern analysis system to provide individual learners with teaming paths, learning contents, learning media, supplementary teaming contents, the pattern of material presentation, etc. multi-dimensionally. According to the result of surveying satisfaction with the developed system satisfaction with supplementary learning contents was highest (Highly satisfied '$24.5\%$, Satisfied'$35.7\%$). By learners' level, satisfaction was higher in low-level learners (Highly satisfied'$20.2\%$, Satisfied'$31.2\%$) than in high-level learners (Highly satisfied'$18.4\%$, 'Satisfied'$28.54\%$). The developed system is expected to provide learners with multi-dimensionally meaningful information from various angles using OLAP technologies such as drill-up and drill-down.

A Study on the Operating Conditions of Lecture Contents in Contactless Online Classes for University Students (대학생 대상 비대면 온라인 수업에서의 강의 콘텐츠 운영 실태 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze the operating conditions of lecture contents in contactless online classes for University students. First, as a result of analyzing the responses of 93 respondents, 93.3% of the respondents took real-time online lectures (47.7%) or recorded video lectures (45.6%). Second, as a result of analyzing the contents used as textbooks, it was found that e-books (materials) and paper books (materials) were used together (36.6%), or e-books or electronic materials (36.6% and 37.6% respectively) were used in both liberal arts (47.3%) and major subjects (39.8%). In addition to textbooks, both major subjects and liberal arts highly used web materials (47.6% and 40.5% respectively) and YouTube materials (33.3% and 48.0% respectively) as external materials. Third, both liberal arts and major subjects used 'electronic files in the form of PPT or text organized and written by instructors' (62.9% and 58.1% respectively), 'internet materials' (16.7% and 19% respectively) and 'paper book or materials' (10.4% and 12.3% respectively) to share lecture contents. For the screen displayed lecture contents, 93.5% of the respondents satisfied in major subjects, and 90.2% of the respondents satisfied in liberal arts. These results suggest developing multimedia-based lecture contents and an evaluation solution capable of real-time exam supervision, developing a task management system capable of AI-based plagiarism search, task guidance, and task evaluation, and institutionalizing a solution to copyright problems for electronicizing lecture materials so that lectures can be given in the ubiquitous environment.

A Development of Kolb's Learning Style Based Team Organization Support System (Kolb의 학습양식에 기반 한 팀 조직 지원 시스템 개발)

  • The purpose of this research is to develop a prototype of the support system in order for team building associated with web-based project learning having applied Kolb's learning style. To accomplish this purpose, the following research tasks were performed. First, core idea in order to embody the system's value, key activities, tools that will support pertinent activities and the strategy so as to develop guidelines, etc. were devised and prepared. Second, a system was designed on the basis of structural model of teaching design, then after, interface was developed. The core factors in this system are inspection of learning style, organizing a team and team building. Above all, it is required to make learners know about learning environments, of which they are in favor, and also its distinctive features through inspection of learning style, and then focusing on learning style, a team should be organized insomuch as to accommodate a variety of learning styles as much as possible. For the purpose of team building, after learning style of each constituent member of the team has been made known, then the roles will be divided among the constituent members of the team so as to suit their individual characteristics referring to each of their learning styles that have been exposed. To verify the value of this system developed and efficiency thereof, a focus group interview was conducted. The focus group consisted of professionals, all from related fields. After the interview, the points required to make further improvements were elicited and taken care of by follow-up actions as needed. And having reflected such improvements made, the final system was developed. With this newly developed system, learners can get the results of inspection of learning style so quickly by performing inspection any time any where, and based on the results from such inspection, a team comprising dissimilar constituents who exhibit a variety of different propensities will be automatically organized. Thus, this system may be used not only for web-based project learning having unspecified persons elected as constituents, but in the offline space also.

  • As Information & Communication Technology is developed in fast speed, the educational field undertakes many changes in utilizing Information Technology(IT). As the smart phone's educational utilization brings many positive effects, so many people are interested in such educational application programs. The e-textbooks or learning contents based on the web have shown some limits in being utilized as main learning materials in school field. So this study identified such limits, and suggested a new direction for professional education by integrating mobile and QR code technologies with existing textbooks to realize a new book-type E-Textbook model. And this study purposed for students to participate in their classes more easily through making open-education environment for students studying specialized subjects and by applying new teaching-learning methods inducing more interest in them. Of course, this study's ultimate purpose is to raise students' learning ability about specialized subjects, and further, to improve their self-directed learning abilities with increased interests in classes. As the result operating this model, it was found that this model had enough learning effect.

Development and Evaluation of WBI Program for Space Design in "Technology and Home Economics" of High School (고등학교 "기술ㆍ가정" 주거공간 꾸미기 단원 WBI 프로그램 개발과 평가)

  • 이 연구는 고등학교 $\ulcorner$기술ㆍ가정$\lrcorner$주거 공간 꾸미기 단원의 교수-학습을 위한 WBI 프로그램을 개발하고 평가하는 데 목적이 있다. 이 연구는 WBI 프로그램을 개발하여 주거 공간 꾸미기 단원의 교과 내용을 학습하고 HOME DESIGN 응용 프로그램을 이용하여 실습함으로써 제 7차 교육과정에서 강조하는 웹 기반 수업과 개별학습을 하는 데 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 프로그램은 ADDIE 모형을 중심으로 학습 내용 선정, WBI 프로그램 설계, WBI 프로그램 개발 수업 적용, 평가 과정을 거쳐 개발하였다. 우선 $\ulcorner$기술ㆍ가정$\lrcorner$6개 교과서의 주거 공간 꾸미기 내용을 정리하고 그 내용을 바탕으로 HTML과 PHP, MySQL로 데이터베이스를 구축하여 학습자와 컴퓨터와의 역동적인 상호 작용이 이루어지도록 설계하였다. 또한 온라인의 개별 학습이 가능하도록 주메뉴를 교과서 연구실, 3D 홈 디자인 실습실, 자료 공유실, 종합 평가실의 네 부분으로 구성하여 이론을 약 6시간 동안 학습하고 나서 3시간 동안 실습을 할 수 있도록 하였다. 개발된 프로그램을 수정 보완하고 프로그램의 질을 높이기 위한 목적으로 청주시 C고등학교 1학년 학생 35명과 가정과 교사 3명을 대상으로 시범 적용한 결과를 바탕으로 프로그램의 작동 여부를 화인하고 오류를 고쳐 프로그램의 문제점을 개선하였다. 본 프로그램을 이용한 회원은 4월 20일부터 6월 1일까지 2개 고등학교 학생 70명, 11개 고등학교 교사 11명이었다. 평가 결과 교사들은 본 프로그램에서 가장 유용하게 이용한 부분으로 ‘3D 홈 디자인 실습실(63.6%)’, ‘교과서 연구실(18.2%)’, ‘게시판. 자료실, 묻고 답하기 등(18.2%)’ 순으로 답한 반면 학생들은 ‘3D 홈 디자인 실습실(47.8%)’, ‘교과서 연구실(34.3%)’, ‘게시판, 자료실, 묻고 답하기 등(17.9%)’의 순으로 답하여 유용한 부분에 대한 순서는 일치하나 비율에 차이가 있어 교사들이 ‘3D 홈 디자인 실습실(63.6%)’을 더 유용하게 이용했음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 프로그램을 사용하는 데 있어 교사는 ‘쉬운 편이다’라는 응답이 63.6%로 학생의 24.2% 응답과 차이가 있었으며, 제시된 학습 내용의 양이 ‘적당하다’에 교사가 63.6%, 학생이 48.4%로 답하여 차이가 있었다. 그리고 교사들은 화면 구성이 ‘잘 구성된 편이다(72.7%)’,‘평상시 수업보다 이해에 도움이 되었다(81.2%)’로 답하여 교사들이 학생들보다 본 프로그램에 더 긍정적인 반응을 보였음을 알 수 있었다. 프로그램에 대한 장점과 개선할 점에 대한 개방형 평가는 교사들의 평가와 유사하여 ‘재미있어서 시간이 부족했다’, ‘잘하지는 않았지만, 직접 디자인해서 재미있었다’, ‘어른이 되면 주거 공간 활용을 잘 할 것 같다’, ‘새로운 경험이라 재미있었다’, ‘흥미롭고 재미있었다’, ‘쉽게 되어 있어 좋다’, ‘가구 배치가 잘 되었고. 흠 디자인한 색상이 잘 맞는다’라는 의견이었다. 그러나 주거 공간 꾸미기 WBI 프로그램을 이용한 수업이 컴퓨터에 대한 소양이 부족한 학생과 집중력이 떨어지는 학생에게는 다소 어려움이 있으므로 학생들의 개인차와 학교 실정에 따른 시간 배당 등을 고려하여 학생의 개별학습과 아울러 학교에서 교사의 설명과 함께 수업 시간에 활용할 것을 제안한다.

  • High speed internet and web was rapid grow up. There was much influence our society and education field. The growth which the superhigh speed internet is quick leads in the education which is the possibility of confront in information society the educational reform it propels. It is included in the 7th curriculum which emphasizes the ability cultivation it will can dispose in the information society and information education and education information it dos the many enterprise from national dimension. But with the clear vision which is accurate against information education the education contents against hereupon is not presented from the elementary school not to be, the computer education is become accomplished at one part of discretionary activity and the level star education of the resonable information education relation teaching materials and the elementary students does not become accomplished net to be and well information education which becomes does not become accomplished is the actual condition. This research which it use teach - studying of home page base and the student studies self lead and oneself it provides the chance it will be able to evaluate the result regarding studying and also it will provide the paradigm which is the possibility of doing level star studying, it does.
