  • 원격탐사란 직접적인 접촉 없이 대상물의 전자파 반사 특성을 파장별로 측정하여, 이를 처리, 해석함으로써 대상물에 대한 속성, 상태, 위치 및 형태에 대한 정보를 얻고자 하는 기술이다. 특히 획득된 자료가 영상(image)으로서 표현될 수 있으며, 영상을 매체로 하여 처리되고 해석된다는 점이 원격탐사 기술의 특징이다. 1972년에 미국의 항공우주국(NASA)이 지구자원 기술위성(Earth Resources Technology Satellite)을 성공적으로 발사함으로써 세계 최초의 위성 관측에 의한 원격탐사가 시작된 이래. 원격탐사 기술은 지도제작. 자원탐사, 지질조사, 지구환경, 해양 및 기상 등 다양한 분야에서 활발하게 활용되고 있다. 현재 우리나라를 비롯하여 미국, 캐나다, 프랑스, 일본, 인도 등 세계 각국이 각자 지구관측용 원격탐사 위성을 보유하고 있다. BSF와 PSF를 이용한 TAR 비교

  • 목적 : 현재 국내에서 사용중인 Co-60 원격치료용 방사선 조사장치의 경우 tissue air ratio(TAR)는 조사 표면에서 최대 선량을 가지는 back scatter factor(BSF)를 적용하여 구한 값을 사용하고 있는데, 실제로 Co-60 원격치료용 방사선 조사장치의 최대선량 깊이는 조사 표면이 아니라, 조사 표면에서 0.5cm 떨어진 거리에서 최대 선량을 나타내므로, BJR 25 에서 권장하는 값인 peak scatter factor(PSF)를 이용해 구한 값이 더 정확한 값으로 사료되기 때문에 이를 본 실험을 통해 검증하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 방사선 종양학과에서 치료용으로 사용하고 있는 Co-60 원격치료용 방사선 조사장치를 대상으로 하였다. BSF 는 Khan이 저술한 The Physics of Radiation Therapy의 부록에 제시된 값을 사용하였으며, PSF와 TAR를 구하기 위해 물 팬톰(water phantom), Farmer형 이온 챔버(ion chamber), 전기계(electrometer)를 사용하였다. PSF와 TAR를 구하기 위해서 몇 가지 측정을 하였다. 먼저, 공기 중에서 챔버를 SSD=80.5cm에 고정시킨 후, 방사선을 조사하여 선량을 측정하고, 깊이에 따른 선량을 알아보기 위해, 물 팬톰 내에 챔버를 SSD=80cm 고정시킨 후, 물을 서서히 채워가면서 5$\times$5cm, 10$\times$10cm, 15$\times$15cm, 20$\times$20cm, 30$\times$30cm의 field size에 대해서, 물의 깊이가 0.5cm-2cm 까지는 0.5cm 단위로 선량을 측정하고, 물의 깊이가 2cm-l4cm까지는 1cm단위로 선량을 측정하였다. 측정된 선량을 이용하여 PSF를 구하고 난 후, BJR 25에서 제시한 PSF와 비교를 하였고 TAR은 Khan이 제시한 변환식에 PSF를 대입하여 알아보았다. 기존의 TAR과 PSF를 이용해 구한 TAR을 측정하여 구한 TAR과 비교하였다. 결과 : BJR25에서 제시한 PSF와 본 실험에서 측정하여 얻은 PSF를 비교한 결과, field size가 5$\times$5cm, 10$\times$10cm, 15$\times$l5cm, 20$\times$20cm인 경우, 측정하여 얻은 PSF가 0.8%, 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.2%로 약간 높지만, 두 값은 매우 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고, 기존의 BSF를 이용해 구한 TAR과 BJR 25에서 권고하는 PSF를 이용해 구한 TAR을 비교한 결과 field size 에 따라 약 1%-1.5% 정도로 BSF를 이용하여 구한 TAR보다 PSF를 이용하여 구한 TAR이 1.3% 정도 높게 나타났지만, 이것은 두 값의 절대적인 차이일 뿐, 실제로는 PSF를 이용하여 구한 TAR이 측정해서 구한 TAR과는 매우 유사한 값을 보여주고 있다. 결론 : 기존의 BSF를 이용해 구한 TAR과 PSF를 이용해 구한 TAR을 비교하였을 때, 약 1.3% 정도 높게 내고 있지만, 기존의 TAR보다는 PSF를 이용해 구한 TAR이 BJR 25와 잘 일치하고 있으므로 Co-60 원격치료용 방사선 조사장치를 사용할 경우 BSF보다는 PSF를 사용하는 것이 타당한 것으로 사료된다.

  • FBG sensors are mainly used to measure deformation of structures such as tunnels, bridges and ships. In this paper, an interrogator of FBG sensors is developed and implemented to measure the status of structures. A developed interrogator includes CAN wired and Zigbee wireless communication for remote monitoring. Strain of structure is measured using shift of wavelength of reflected light from FBG sensor. A digital signal controller is used to process signals of a FBG sensor and transmit data for remote monitoring. As a result of experiment, developed interrogator is effective to measure deformation of structures.

  • Recently, Guard lamp was divided from electric facilities for general use as dangerous zone of safety management. This paper presents a remote inspection system of guard lamp that can monitor electrical safety factor. Especially, the developed system adopts the measurement algorithm for detecting resistive leakage current($I_{gr}$) flowing based on the phase difference checkable for sensing at a monitor. Also, It was fabricated the repeater for data transmission and the MMI program At this system, we made experiment on stability of resistive leakage current to verify phase comparison detecting algorism.

  • This technical paper describes the analysis results of telemetry data for the initial activation of star trackers for an agile high accuracy low earth orbit satellite. The satellite was recently launched and is in the Launch and Early Operation Phases. It uses two SED36 star trackers manufactured by SODERN. The star tracker is separated by three parts, an optical head, an electronics box, and a baffle with maintaining optical head base plate temperature 20 degC in order to achieve the better performance in low frequency error. This paper presents the initial activation status, requirements and performance, anomaly occurrence, and noise equivalent angle performance analysis during the mission mode by processing the telemetry data.

  • In this study, the relay driver circuit which controls the spacecraft configuration change are implemented and validated. First of all, the specification of the relay driver circuit is defined, and then its circuit meeting the specification defined is designed. In order to verify the design of the relay driver circuit, its circuit was simulated, and then it's confirmed that the relay pulse current and voltage level defined in the specification are obtained, and the results obtained through the functional test of the relay driver circuit are compared and well matched with the simulation results. Also the worst case analysis for confirming the stable operation of the relay driver circuit under the tolerance of each component is performed.

  • Recently, level meters have been associated with the safety and maintenance of industrial sites and require a wide measurement range. Generally, to ensure the measurement range of the level meter, the measurement environment is improved to reduce the noise or to compensate the distortion of the signal through signal processing. The noise of FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar level meter or the distortion of the signal affects the near region characteristics of the level gauge, resulting in a reduction of the minimum detection distance. In this paper, an equalizer filter considering characteristics of window function and bit spectrum is applied to remove the noise in the near region of the level meter to improve the minimum detection distance performance and to improve the measurement reliability in the vicinity of the level meter, which is relatively difficult to detect, we want to improve the detection range.

  • In this paper, a system using vibrating wire sensor and zigbee wireless network has been implemented to monitor and manage the structure. The implemented strain controller drives vibrating wire sensor and computes strain from measuring frequency of the output signal. Temperature sensor is included to compensate strain by temperature. Using two axis acceleration sensor of strain controller can measure the direction of strain or deformation. To measure strain more effectively, wired and wireless communication function is included in this device. As results of experiments, it is shown that the developed system can be effectively applied to measure strain of the structure.

  • Though there were many research and development about telemedicine on land recently, not yet applied to that on the shore. In this paper, when emergency clinic situation were generated in a ship on shore, the telemedicine system was designed and implemented for transfer and clinic service to doctors on the land by measuring basic body signals of patients. Presently, wireless communication and inmarsat telephone are usually used by simple questions and clinic consults to remote doctors when emergency situation were happened in the ship. In this paper, the telemedicine system on the shore were developed for improving this problems by measuring patient's fundamental conditions such as the blood pressure, pulse, the respiratory condition, electrocardiogram, body temperature, patient image and sending these information to remote doctors on land for more accurate prescription. The developed system can supply the high level clinic service to emergency patients on the shore and cope with the emergency situation in ship.

  • Spectral reflectance data of upland crops at OSMI bands were collected and evaluated for the feasibility of crop discrimination knowledge-based on crop calendar. Effective bands and their ratio values for discriminating corn from two other legumes were defined with OSMI equivalent bands and their ratio values. For corn discrimination from two other legumes, peanut and soybean, June 22 among measurements dates was the best since all OSMI equivalent bands and their ratio values in June 22 were highly significant for corn separability. Phenological growth stage of a silage corn (rs510) could be estimated as a function of spectral reflectance in vegetative stage. Five growth stage prediction models were generated by the SAS procedures REG and STEPWISE with OSMI equivalent bands and their ratio values in vegetative stage.
