Effects of Student Participation Performance Assessment Using a Remote Responder on Students' Academic Achievement (원격응답기를 활용한 학생참여 수행평가가 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • Peer evaluation is an evaluation centered on the student, through which interaction among students becomes active. The peer evaluation has a greater influence on students than a unilateral directions from the teacher has. This study aims to develop performance assessment models and tasks in which students participate using the remote responder in 4th grade social studies classrooms in the elementary school. It also aims to apply the developed models and tasks to class and to find out how they affect students' academic achievement and attitude. The student participation performance assessment using the remote responder appeared to bring a positive influence on social studies academic achievement and showed statistically significant results. The survey on the students' interests in using the remote responder and its effects conducted after the performance assessment showed positive results.

Development of an Integrated Meter Reading Home Concentrate Device (통합 원격검침 지시장치 개발)

  • This paper highlights the home concentrate device(HCD) that integrates the data reading and display of the six types of meters (water, hot water, heating, cooling, gas and electricity) used in Korean residential areas. Unlike the conventional system which utilizes single MCU, the developed system uses two MCUs for one MCU to gather the meter readings and for the other MCU to communicate to the server computer. Hard ware design, communication protocols, LCD design and program structures are discussed and the test results are shown in this paper. With the implementation of integrated meter reading, the developed system can increase the popularity of automatic meter reading(AMR) with its better scalability, pricing, installation fee, maintenance and faster response.

  • 본 논문에서는 취약성 탐지 스크립트의 원격 편집기를 설계 및 구현하였다. 원격 편집기는 Windows 계열의 시스템에서 구동되며 스크립트 데이터베이스가 저장되어 있는 서버로부터 스크립트를 인출하여 수정 후 저장하거나 새로운 스크립트를 작성하여 저장한다. 편집기는 스크립트의 작성 및 편집을 위한 편집기능, 서버와의 HTTP 프로토콜 기반 통신 기능, 스크립트의 사용 용도나 스크립트의 경향과 특성을 파악하는 등의 특성분석기능, 스크립트의 유효성 및 문법 검사기능을 가지고 있으며, 원격 편집기의 요청이 있을 때에 이에 응답하기 위하여 스크립트 데이터베이스 서버측에서 CGI(Comman Gateway Interface)가 구동된다.

Stereophonic Acoustic Echo Canceler using Fast Affine Projection Algorithm (고속 Affine Projection 알고리듬을 이용한 스테레오 음향 반향 제거기)

  • 본 논문은 스테레오 음향 반향 제거기에 적용되는 고속 Affine Projection 알고리듬 을 제안한다. 최근 스테레오 원격 회의 시스템은 보다 현실감 있는 원격 회의를 가능케 하 는 장점으로 인해 많은 관심을 끌고 있다. 그러나, 회의실의 원단화자와 마이크로폰사이의 상호교차(cross-coupling)로 인해 음향 반향이 발생하게 된다. 만약 이 반향 신호가 제거되 지 않은채 수신 룸으로 전달되면 결국 음성 통화 품질이 저하된다. 이를 방지하기 위하여 추정 반향 신호를 만들어 내고 통신 품질의 손실 없이 이 반향을 제거하는 음향 반향 제거 기가 필수적이다. 단 채널 음향 반향 제거기와 다르게 스테레오 환경하에서의 음향 반향 제 거기는 전송실의 환경변화로 인한 성능 저하와 각 반향 경로를 추정하기 위해 사용하는 각 적응 필터의 임펄스응답이 반향 경로와 일치하지 않는 등의 각종 문제점들이 발생하게 된 다. 본 논문에서는 서로 상관관계 없는 입력신호를 만들어내고 전송실의 환경변화로 인한 성능저하를 보완하기 위해 전처리단(pre-processing block)을 제안하여 일반적인 방법에 대 해 3-10dB정도의 향상된 성능을 보이며 적은 계산량으로 빠른 수렴성능을 갖는 새로운 형 태의 스테레오 음향 반향 제거기를 제안한다.

A study on multi-functional welder remote control system using smart phone (스마트 폰을 이용한 다기능 용접기 원격 제어 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we are a proposed system that could control a multi-functional welder of the current, voltage of the crater, gas control, the wire feeder's driven, the constant voltage output control, high frequency control, rated current control and the ARC welding control etc., using the mobile-based smart phone. Approximately 90% of user of proposed system are very useful in multi-function welder in their task responded and rest of 10% of the answers don't need it. 30% answered in 90% of the multi-function welding machine according to age group using a smart phone utilizing this "very difficult" at investigated. However, the use of smart phones is gradually lower the user's age group can be seen that effective.

Analysis of Parents' Perceptions and Needs for Distance Education and Educational Support for Students with Disabilities (장애학생 원격교육 및 교육지원에 대한 학부모의 인식 및 요구 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the parents' perceptions of the distance learning provided to students with disabilities and to explore the demands for educational support. A survey was conducted on a total of 2,392 parents of school-age children with disabilities. The survey questions were largely divided into the learning support to prevent educational gap, support for behavioral and psychological difficulties, and care support for educational welfare. As a result of the study, it was found that face-to-face education in schools was the most important to prevent the educational gap between students with disabilities, and counseling on distance learning methods and strategies suitable for the characteristics of the disabled in connection with the Special Education Support Center was the most necessary. As a learning support method for distance learning for students with disabilities, there was a high demand for individual learning support through preparatory special education teachers, and it was necessary to secure enough learning aids and assistive technology devices to be used appropriately when needed. In addition, psychological counseling and educational support for students with disabilities were requested, and there were demands for development of care programs suitable for the characteristics of the disabled and assignment of dedicated personnel. Based on the results of this study, this study suggested implications for students with disabilities to bridge the learning gap and provide educational support due to distance learning.

Pseudo Stereophonic Acoustic Echo Canceller using Hyper-plane Projection Algorithm (Hyper-plane투영 알고리듬을 이용한 의사 스테레오 음향 반향 제거기)

  • This paper proposes a new stereophonic acoustic echo canceller to prevent impairments on the voice quality and to remove acoustic echo effectively appearing in stereo environment at the instant of abrupt change of the transmission room environment in teleconferencing system. In stereophonic acoustic echo canceller, the major defective problems are the large computational complexity of estimating echo path systems due to the long impulse response of the true echo paths and the performance degradation of echo canceller due to large correlation between dual stereo signals. Moreover, the change of the suboptimal solution for the echo canceller was considered as a critical deficient factor on to the performance of stereophonic echo canceller. To overcome these problems, this paper proposes pseudo stereophonic acoustic echo canceller using Hyper-plane projection algorithm, which shows the robustness to the environment change of the transmission room and the efficiency of computational complexity.

  • Since NUMA architecture has to access remote memory an interconnection network determines the performance of CC-NUMA system Bus which has been used as a popular interconnection network has many limits to build a large-scale system because of the limited physical scalabilty and bandwidth Dual ring interconnection network composed of high speed point-to-point links is made up for resolving the defects of the bus for large-scale system But it also has a problem that the response latency is rapidly increased when many node are attached to snooping based CC-NUMA system with dual ring In this paper we propose a chordal ring architecture in order to overcome the problem of the dual ring on snooping based CC-NUMA system and design and efficient link controller adopted to this architecture. We also analyze the effects of chordal ring architecture on the system performance and the response latency by using probability driven simulator.

Science Education Experts' Perception of the Remote Laboratory Sessions Provoked by COVID-19 (COVID-19으로 인해 촉발된 원격 실험 수업에 대한 과학교육 전문가들의 인식)

  • This study investigated science education experts' perception of remote laboratory sessions (RLS) provoked by the COVID-19 pandemic. We conducted a total of 10 semi-structured interviews with experts in physics, chemistry, biology, and earth science education. As a result, science education experts primarily understood the RLS concerning pre-service teacher education and reconsidered the aim and goal of conventional laboratory education. On practices of RLS provoked by the COVID-19, they pointed out the learning loss due to deficiency of hands-on experience, decreased interactions between instructor and students, and instructors' increased burden. Meanwhile, they contemplated upon their adaptive implementation of RLS to suggest ways to improve RLS instruction and directions of post-COVID-19 science education. We recommend that RLS should be understood as a complemented version of minds-on teaching rather than a degraded version of hands-on teaching to elicit its full potentials. This study has its own significance providing an in-depth science educational perspective interpreting the RLS phenomena.

  • SOAP is a protocol used for information exchange in distributed computing environment and SOAP defines mechanisms for message transferring between distributed system and remote procedure call/response process. This SOAP is able to be used independently on operating systems and program languages because it uses only a text-based XML for protocol. Therefor ebXML that is a standard for E-Commerce adopts SOAP for message exchange. In this paper, we developed Message Broker System based on SOAP. By this Message Broker System we can more easily exchange messages for B2B. Accordingly we can manage and integrate a lots of business partners.
