  • This research shows several types of moving pictures from the data: 1) the word cloud of Korean texts, 2) the heat map of n ${\times}$ p matrices, 3) the moving image of p ${\times}$ p scatterplot matrix, 4) the local projective display of k clusters (Huh and Lee, 2012). Moving pictures may reveal the hidden information and beauty of the datasets and ignite the curiosity of information consumers. Video files are attached.

Research on the Spatial Expression Characteristics of illustration in Picture Books (스토리형 그림책 속의 삽화 디자인의 시간적 표현 연구)

  • This paper studies and analyzes the effect of illustrations in picture books on time representation with fictional picture books as the study scope. In this paper, the time type of picture books can be divided into time point, timeline and time rhythm, referring to case analysis from time symbolic elements, picture layout and picture sequence respectively. First of all, time symbolic elements are referred to the time point and time rhythm. The materialized time symbolic element is things that can directly represent time and trigger associations with time; the color symbolic element means the color changes in the real world within a certain time; the contrast of light and shadow corresponds to the changes in a day. Fast-moving objects will be presented with dashed or blurred lines, while static, stable and slow objects will be depicted with solid lines. Secondly, the picture layout of illustrations in picture books is suitable for representing the content of the timeline and describing the sequence or causality of events. Finally, the picture sequence can represent the timeline, time rhythm and "synchronicity". It will make use of visual logic to win readers' trust in time information expressed in pictures, and then follow and connect viewpoints on the basis of adapting to reading habits. The essence of time representation in picture books is to express time by space, and use different combinations of elements in space and visual guidance to convey time information.

  • Graphic Design is being developed as a unique genre and widely applied to movie, TV broadcasting, music video, computer an, web design, animation, and game. Some university added motion graphics in their curriculum recently. However Motion Graphic has not been defined clearly and pedagogy of motion graphics was not studied enough. Motion Graphic is not merely moving picture. Its typical purpose and concept are evolving because of the diversified application. Meta-synthesis between media and hybrid development based on diverse approach and composite presentational methods are also changing Motion Graphic. Various technology such as photograph, analytical engine, hypermedia, multimedia, digital composite picture, network and interface should be studied to understand Motion Graphic. This study reviews the historic background of Motion Graphic mainly related to its advent. A fundamental definition of Motion Graphic including the space and time is suggested and the international trend is introduced. Future Motion Graphic and possible development was also predicted.

  • The English Landscape garden and picturesque aesthetics, which was in fashion during the 18th to early 19th century in England, has been accused of making people see the actual garden in terms of a static landscape painting without a synesthetic engagement in nature. As new optic devices such as diorama, panorama, photography, and cinematography were invented, ways of seeing nature transitioned from a perspective vision to a panoramic, that is, modern one. This study intends to uncover signs of this kind of modern vision in the picturesque aesthetics and visual representation of landscape gardener Humphry Repton. German garden theorist Christian Cay Lorenz Hirschfeld contended that the English landscape garden was a new style of designing landscape that followed the principle of the serpentine line, which produced movement in sightlines; thus, he considered garden art as a superior art form among all other genres. The signs of visual motion appear in Repton's sketches of "Red Books". Firstly, he designed systemic routes in his clients' properties by considering different types of movements between walks and drives. Secondly, he often used the visual effects of panoramic views for his sketches in order to allow his clients to experience the human visual field. Lastly, he constructed sequences of sketches in order to provide his clients with an illusion of movement; in other words, Repton's sketches functioned as potential visual media to produce the duration of time in a visual experience. Thus, the garden aesthetics of the time reflected the contemporary visual culture, that is to say, a panoramic vision pertaining to visual motion.

  • In the early 20th century, the some of futurist painter was attempted to represents the 'fast-paced' and 'dynamism' on a two-dimensional picture. The expression of fast-paced and dynamic for look like move image in the painting have evolved as a variety of visual symbol. Visual symbols that represent these movements were settled as the line of the most movement expression in the comic. The of Toriyama Akira gained worldwide popularity is emphasized speed and dynamism as the action genre in cartoon, is nice a data to research the line of the movement expression of cartoon. There is three terms as the action line, The speed line, the effect line on the movement expression in The glossary of in the dictionary of , but it not easy to Separate them by means similar. This study is willing to says the semantically problem of previous lines on the movement expression and to present a new alternative in order to study the line on the movement expression of . This study Separate the line on movement expression from symbolic the perspective and try to newly define by using, was classified lines of four kinds by add the afterimage line on existing the speed line, the motion line, the effect line. First, the speed line was defined as 'The line expressing the movement expression of a moving target as the concept of speed'. It on the way of expression was subdivided the direct as speed line when it alter the shape of the target and the indirect speed line when it alter the background of the target. Second, the motion line was defined as 'The line simplified the moving form or the moving path of moving target'. Third, the effect line was defined as 'the line emphasizing the movement expression of a moving target by Sensory expression or emotional expression. Fourth, the afterimage lines was defined as 'The line expressing slowly moving or swaying the movement expression of target to the afterimage effect. The terminology presented in this study will be able to help the understanding of the line on the movement expression .

Research on Light Application System for the Dynamic Moving Effect of The Design on Porcelain (도자기 표면의 문양을 역동적으로 움직이는 효과를 갖는 광응용 시스템연구)

  • This is concerned with the technology to display the design on Porcelain and adjust malfunction for moving effect and light intensity by curator. More precisely, the technology makes it possible that the porcelain is connected to Light module which is the device for controlling light emission and rotating rolling plate, etc that are connected to LED light module, optical fiber and controller that is for scenario from the given storytelling. In addition, with a WiFi portable device (Smart-phone, other mobile device). equipped with a scenario programs, information for operation, failure and malfunction can be obtained and analyzed in real-time, and menu color and alarm is alerted when the displaying design is in abnormal status, which makes the early reactions to the status. Furthermore, the collected data can be sent through WiFi network to the device and PC managed by the curator specialized in managing the design on the Porcelain, thus the technology could help the curator who have less knowledge about moving pattern on the Porcelain. There is always a possibility of malfunction due to various condition that are caused by wring-harness when modules are wired-connected. In this research, in order to overcome this problem, we propose a system configuration that can do monitoring and diagnosis with a device for collecting data from LED control module, Light emission sensor and a personal WiFi device. Also, we performed connection between optical Fiber and LED and interlock for the system defined by the definition for information and storytelling scenario.

  • 본 연구에서는 레이더 강수량 자료를 대상으로 예측모형을 구축하기에 앞서서 강수장이 가지는 특징을 활용한 Tracking 기법을 개발하고자 한다. Tracking 기법이라 함은 시간에 따라 움직이는 강수장을 추적하는 개념이다. 최근에 태풍, Hurricane 등의 경로를 추정하기 위한 방법으로 국외를 중심으로 연구가 시작되고 있다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 방법론은 모멘트 개념을 중심으로 강수장으로부터 1차모멘트와 2차모멘트를 추정함으로써 강수장의 중심, 강수장의 이동 방향, 강수장의 폭 등 다양한 정보를 유도할 수 있다. 일단 이러한 정보들이 유도되면 이를 통해 강수장의 특성을 범주화 시킬 수 있으며 이를 예측 모델과 연결시킬 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 격자형태의 레이더강수량으로부터 1, 2차모멘트를 추정하기 위한 식은 다음과 같다. 모멘트 추정을 통해 총 5 개의 속성을 추출할 수 있다. 즉, 위경도상의 도심과 방향의 공분산, y방향의 공분산, xy의 공분산 등을 이용하여 다음 그림과 같이 강수의 중심과 강수장의 형태를 수치적으로 추정할 수 있다. 강수장의 형태는 공분산으로부터 추정하여 타원체로 나타내었다. 이러한 과정을 통해 강수장의 중심과 모양의 Tracking이 가능하며 이를 활용한 예측모형의 개발이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • CAD/CAM Software는 operating system(OS), 도형표시 회화처리, 형상정의, 형상조작, DBMS, 응용등으로 되어 있다. 그림 9에 이들 관계를 표시하고 있다. (1) operating system(OS) OS는 특히 CAD/CAM 특유의 것은 없고, 컴퓨터를 보다 효율있게 이용하기 위한 기본적인 software이다. OS 기능으로는 이하와 같은 것이 있다. .task 관리: CAD/CAM시스템은 일반적으로 복수의 단말에서 부터 다른 응용을 동시에 처리, 또는 back ground 로서 ploter를 움직인다. 이와같은 동질처리 (multitash)의 관리를 행한다. . Data 관리: 외부의 기억장치와의 data 수수를 행하기 위한 기본 software. .통신제어: 타의 컴퓨터와 통신회선으로 연결되어 있을 때, 이들의 data 수수를 행한다. 특히, LAN의 1 node로서 CAD/CAM 시스템이 연결되는 일이 많다. 이 경우, 다른 단말과의 communication 기능이 중요하다. .기타: FORTRAN등의 언어 processor, program 또는 data 관리와 같은 utilities가 포함되어 있다.
