Flight Test of Stalling Speed for ChangGong-91 (창공-91 실속속도 비행시험)

  • The stalling speed flight test of light airplane, ChangGong-91, was performed to acquire the certification. With power-off engine condition, the wings level stall flight tests were conducted at the aircraft configuration of various flap angle - clean, 20degree, and full flap, respectively. They were performed considering with the combination of the maximum and minimum test weight, and forward and afterward center of gravity. The stalling speeds and the minimum speeds of light airplane were determined from the results of flight test. Also, the appropriateness of stall warning speeds are evaluated through the flight test measures. The airplane is recoverable only with pitch control and engine throttle from stall state without exceptional operation.

  • An accurate trajectory prediction is a key to the safe and efficient operations of aircraft. One way to improve trajectory prediction accuracy is to develop a model for aircraft ground speed prediction. This paper proposes a generative model for posterior aircraft ground speed prediction. The proposed method fits the Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM) to historical data of aircraft speed, and then the model is used to generates probabilistic speed profile of the aircraft. The performances of the proposed method are demonstrated with real traffic data in Incheon Flight Information Region(FIR).

  • 창공-91의 비행 시험의 목적은 성능 측정과 비행 특성의 확인이며 교통부의 기준은 주로 비행기의 운항에 따르는 안정성에 주안점을 두고 있다. 비행 시험으로 실속 속도와 이착륙 성능 그리고 상승 성능을 측정하여 비행 교범에 수록하였고, 안정성과 조종성의 적절함을 판단하였다. 창공-91 A2기의 비행 시험에 소요된 비행 시간은 81. 5 시간이다. (창공-91 $A_1$기 : 52.8시간)

  • 무인자율항체는 자동차, 선박, 잠수함과 같이 인간에 의해 직접 조종되는 유인항체에 인간의 역할을 대신할 수 있는 지능시스템을 배치하여 전체적 혹은 부분적으로 무인화한 이동체를 말한다. 무인자율항체에서 사용되는 소프트웨어는 인식, 사고, 행위와 같은 인간의 지적능력을 내포한 인공지능시스템이어야 한다. 자율무인잠수정, 자율운항선박과 같은 저속무인자율항체는 무인항공기나 무인차량과 같이 빠른 판단과 제어가 요구되는 지능제어시스템과는 다른 특성을 가진다. 저속무인자율항체에서 가장 주목되는 특성은 주위 환경 변화속도와 운항속도에 따른 긴박감의 차이이다. 고속자율항체에서는 제어시스템의 처리속도에, 저속자율항체에서는 제어시스템의 신뢰성에 비중을 둔다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 저속무인자율항체의 특성과 기능별 독립성 보장, 반응형 및 인식형 인공지능 기법의 융화 극대화에 촛점을 맞춘 RVC(Reactive Layer-Virtual World-Congnitive Layer) 지능시스템 모델을 제안한다.

Study on the Collision Avoidance Algorithm against Multiple Traffic Ships using Changeable Action Space Searching Method (가변공간 탐색법을 이용한 다중선박의 충돌회피 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • Auto-navigation algorithm have been studied to avoid collision and grounding of a ship due to human error. There have been many research on collision avoidance algorithms but they have been validated little on the real coastal traffic situation. In this study, a Collision Avoidance algorithm is developed by using Fuzzy algorithm and the concept of Changeable Action Space Searching (CAS). In the first step, on a basis of collision risk calculated from fuzzy algorithm in the current time(t=to), alternative Action Space for collision avoidance is planned. In the second step, next alternative Action Space for collision avoidance in the future($t=to+{\Delta}t$) is corrected and re-planned with re-evaluated collision risk. In the third step, the safest and most effective course among Action Space is selected by using optimization method in real time. In this paper, the main features of the developed collision avoidance algorithm (CAS) are introduced. CAS is implemented in the ship-handling simulator of MOERI. The performance of CAS is tested on the situation of open sea with 3 traffic ships, whose position is assumed to be informed from AIS. Own-ship is fully autonomously navigated by autopilot including the collision avoidance algorithm, CAS. Experimental results show that own-ship can successfully avoid the collision against traffic ships and the calculated courses from CAS are reasonable.

A Study on the Flow Characteristics around a Hull Form of Coast-Canal Going Pusher-Barge (연안-운하 연계수송용 푸셔-바지 선형주위의 유동특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper. the development of a pusher-barge hull form which enables the continuous transportation along the coast and canal is performed. For the design stage of the hull forms. these are developed for Kyungin canal which is will be drawn up as the next contribution project of the Korean government are adopted. The model tests for the designed ship are carried out in the Inha University Towing Tank and the numerical simulations are done with a finite difference method based on MAC scheme. At first, the experiments are performed with designed model ships from low speed to high speed including service speed(6knots) among the corresponding designed speed. Resistance characteristics of designed ships are compared with experimental results of other several pusher-barge hull shapes. Next, the numerical simulations are performed for three cases, that is pusher only, barge only and pusher-barge condition in the designed speed. Each calculations are carried out in deep and restricted water condition. The flow characteristics around hulls in the latter condition are compared with those in the former condition.

안전 운항을 위한 선박 운동 모니터링 시스템 개발

  • 황천 운항 중인 선박은 파도에 의한 과도한 운동과 그로 인한 슬래밍, 프로펠러노출, 갑판침수와 같은 현상으로 구조, 화물, 인명에 위험을 초래할 수 있다. 이 때문에 황천 시 선박은 안전 운항을 위하여 속도와 코스를 신중히 결정할 필요가 있다. 선박 운동 모니터링 시스템은 해상환경이 선박에 미치는 다양한 위험 상황을 사전에 예측하고 피할 수 있도록 의사 결정을 지원하며, 현재 선박의 운동상태와 구조적 안정성을 지속적으로 모니터링 함으로써 선박, 선원, 화물의 안전을 지원할 수 있도록 개발되었다. 본 시스템은 주파수 영역에서 New strip 방법에 기초하여 운동 응답과 수직 굽힘 모멘트를 계산하며, 슬래밍, 프로펠러노출, 갑판침수를 예측한다. 또한 선박 운동과 선체구조응력을 실시간으로 모니터링하여 과도한 선체운동이나 선체구조피로 등의 위험 상황을 표시하고 선원의 작업성과 승선감의 지표인 MII (Motion induced interruption), MSI (Motion sickness incidence)를 제공한다.

  • This study proposes a statistical procedure for analyzing container ship operation data that can help determine fuel consumption patterns. We first investigate the features that affect fuel consumption and develop the prediction model to find current fuel consumption. The ship data can be divided into two-type data. One set of operation data includes sea route, voyage information, longitudinal water speed, longitudinal ground speed, and wind, the other includes machinery data such as engine power, rpm, fuel consumption, temperature, and pressure. In this study, we separate the effects of external force on ships according to Beaufort Scale and apply a partial least squares regression to develop a prediction model.
