  • 일반적으로 피로한 운전자들은 집중하지 못하거나 조작상의 실수가 발생하는 경우가 증가하고, 정보처리 속도와 기억용량이 줄어들며, 작업 수행도의 변화가 크게 일어난다고 한다[1]. 기존의 사고 통계 자료나 조사 보고서에서도 운전자 피로가 자동차 사고의 주요 원인 중의 하나로 나타나고 있다[2, 3].

Impacts Analysis of the operation of DVR(Driving Video Recorder) on Driver's Behavior Change and Reduction of Traffic Accident (교통사고 영상기록장치(DVR : Driving Video Recorder)의 설치가 운전자의 운전태도 변화와 교통사고 저감에 미치는 효과 분석)

  • The aim of this study is to analyze the effects of DVR(Driving Video Recorder) operation on decreasing the number of traffic accidents, the cost of traffic accident claim, and the behavioral change in drivers' driving. The data for this research are obtained from taxi drivers in Busan. For this, Structural Equation Model and two-way ANOVA are employed for empirical analysis. Overall results of this study show that the number of traffic accidents of 4 taxi corporations in Busan has decreased by average 32.7 percent after using DVRs. In addition, as to the cost of taxi accident claims, it is expected that the DVR operation has a considerable effect on economic benefits of taxi corporations. Moreover, this study could make clear the difference in behaviors between DVR users and non-users, and discriminate the positive and negative impacts of the DVR operation on the drivers' driving behavior. The study quantitatively examined the indirect impact of 'attitude', 'subject norm' and 'behavioral control' factors on planned 'behavior', and the direct impact of 'behavioral control' factor on the planned 'behavior'. This study suggests that they should add the video recoding function of DVRs when operation recorder(blackbox for the car) is obligatorily set up on cars for business by traffic security law.

  • This paper reviewed the researches of adolescent's behavior as following three main viewpoint in order to defend the impairment of adolescent's rights to their own life style: (1) the influences of environmental factors(family, school and society) to adolescent's behavior, (2) the influences of adolescent's activity areas or activities to their behavior and (3) the understanding of adolescent's behavior by the analysis of their delinquent activities. For further understandings of adolescent's behavior, the dynamic research approaches and the interdisciplinary studies are necessary.

운전 습관 개선을 위한 위험 운전 분석 어플리케이션의 설계 및 구현

  • 디지털 운행기록장치는 대한민국의 경우 2011년부터 상용차에 대해 법령으로 장착이 의무화되었다. 이 장치는 자동차의 속도, 주행거리, 브레이크 상태, GPS 위지청보 등을 수집하는 기록 장치로서 이를 통해 수집된 정보로 운전 형태를 파악하고 분석해준다. 그러나 초기 장치 구입비용과 전송 방식에 따른 월별 통신서비스 비용 때문에 일반 운전자의 사용이 제한된다. 따라서 본 연구는 일반 운전자도 위험운전행동을 분석하고 파악하여, 결과를 제공하는 스마트폰 어플리케이션의 설계 및 구현을 목적으로 한다. ECU(Electronic Control Unit)에서 얻을 수 있는 주행 데이터(가속 제동, 속도, 운전 시간 등)를 OBD-II(On-Board Diagnostic version II) Scanner를 통해 수집한다. 이 정보를 바탕으로 위험운전평가 알고리즘을 이용하여 실시간 분석한다. 상기 알고리즘은 대한민국의 교통안전공단에서 제공하는 위험운전(11종)에 대한 정의를 바탕으로 한다. 이를 통해 분석된 결과는 실시간으로 사용자에게 제공되며, SQLite를 이용하여 DB에 저장되고 통신사의 이동통신(3G,4G) 혹은 Wifi의 네트워크를 이용하여 연계 서버에 전송된다. 이 위험 운전 분석 어플리케이션을 통해 운전자들의 안전 운전을 유도하고자하며, 추후 운전습관 연계 보험의 도입에 따라 합리적이고 공정한 데이터를 제공하고자 한다.

Development of Measuring Instrument and Driver's Approaching Maneuver Experiment on the Roundabout (회전교차로 접근 주행시 운전행동 측정 장치 개발 및 주행 실험)

  • This study aimed to measure the behaviors of drivers approaching a roundabout and analyze the characteristics of them. For these objectives, a system to measure the in-vehicle behaviors of a driver when he/she approaches a roundabout. The reliability of the system was analyzed, and the result were applied to a driving test in a roundabout. The result suggested that drivers showed cognitive responses to the accelerator pedal $176.0{\pm}35.18m$ ahead of the approach zone. And they showed cognitive responses to the brake pedal and the speed of the vehicle $121.0{\pm}26.01m$ and $66.0{\pm}18.31m$ ahead of the approach zone, respectively. As for drivers' cognitive changes between the start and end points of their cognitive responses at a roundabout, the standard deviation of the time of response was ${\pm}26.01m$, and the standard deviation of the end point was ${\pm}7.03m$, which meant that there was a 3.71-fold gap between the two deviation values. During the test, differences among the drivers were observed, but no difference was observed among trails.

The Influences of Driving Confidence Levels on Traffic Accidents: Research Using Path Analysis (운전확신수준이 교통사고에 미치는 영향: 경로분석을 이용한 연구)

  • We investigated the influences of 'Circumstance Insensibility', 'Unsafe Driving', 'Incautious Driving', and 'Self-efficacy of Driving', consisting of driving confidence level, on traffic accidents. 1055 drivers conducted Driving Confidence Level Questionnaire, items about their dangerous driving experience and traffic accidents. Among them, after checking the missing items, we analyzed data of 998 drivers. As a result, we found the relation between driving confidence levels and traffic accidents. Specially, 'Circumstance Insensibility' and 'Unsafe Driving' influenced traffic accidents. However 'Circumstance Insensibility' had negative effects, the other side 'Unsafe Driving' had positive effects on traffic accidents. This result means each factor of driving confidence levels have different relation with traffic accidents. 'Incautious Driving' and 'Self-efficacy of Driving' didn't have any effects on traffic accidents in this research. In future, it should be investigated 'Incautious Driving' and 'Self-efficacy of Driving'.

The Hazardous Expressway Sections for Drowsy Driving Using Digital Tachograph in Truck (화물차 DTG 데이터를 활용한 고속도로 졸음운전 위험구간 분석)

  • In the past 10 years, the accidents caused by drowsy driving have occupied about 23% of all traffic accidents in Korea expressway network and this rate is the highest one among all accident causes. Unlike other types of accidents caused by speeding and distraction to the road, the accidents by drowsy driving should be managed differently because the drowsiness might not be controlled by human's will. To reduce the number of accidents caused by drowsy driving, researchers previously focused on the spot based analysis. However, what we actually need is a segment (link) and occurring time based analysis, rather than spot based analysis. Hence, this research performs initial effort by adapting link concept in terms of drowsy driving on highway. First of all, we analyze the accidents caused by drowsy in historical accident data along with their road environments. Then, links associate with driving time are analyzed using digital tachograph (DTG) data. To carry this out, negative binomial regression models, which are broadly used in the field, including highway safety manual, are used to define the relationship between the number of traffic accidents on expressway and drivers' behavior derived from DTG. From the results, empirical Bayes (EB) and potential for safety improvement (PSI) analysis are performed for potential risk segments of accident caused by drowsy driving on the future. As the result of traffic accidents caused by drowsy driving, the number of the traffic accidents increases with increase in annual average daily traffic (AADT), the proportion of trucks, the amount of DTG data, the average proportion of speeding over 20km/h, the average proportion of deceleration, and the average proportion of sudden lane-changing.

A Comparison Study of Driver's Responsive Action by Using the Traffic Light Change Anticipation (교통 예비점멸등 사용에 따른 운전자 행동반응 비교)

  • This study preformed a research about the traffic signal light that is adding supplementary green light to prevent driver's cognitive errors and plan safe driving through improving visual cognitivity of present traffic signal light. The result of comparing the present traffic signal light(three colors, four colors) with the traffic signal light(three colors, four colors) adding supplementary green light through car simulator has a significant difference. This result shows possibility that the traffic signal light adding supplementary green light can contribute in safety driving at a point that the traffic signal light advances a point of braking time when drivers didn't recognize by themselves. The findings in this study ca say that there is the meaning in showing a actual application possibility of this study finding by investigating a action of subjective response the moment compare driver's actual response.
