A System for the Selection of the Optimum Tower Cranes(Opt-TC) (건설현장의 조건을 고려한 최적 타워크레인 선정시스템)

  • The efficient vertical lift planning has been brought into relief in high-rise building construction projects. Particularly, the selection and stability examination of the tower cranes is the most important elements in vertical lift planning. Therefore, professional knowledge is needed to full fill the site condition for the plan. However, there are short of the number of specialists and information about tower cranes. This study proposes a system for the selection of the optimum tower cranes (Opt-TC) in high-rise building construction projects. The Opt-TC can give the selection and stability examination of tower cranes at once in real-time.

Red Light Violations Analysis Using Statistical Methods - in case of Chungbuk 4-Legged Signalized Intersections - (통계적기법을 이용한 신호위반 분석(충청북도 4지 신호교차로를 중심으로))

  • This case study investigated red light violations at CBD, suburban and rural signalized intersections in chungbuk. The goal of this study is to understanding the collection between red light violations and various driver, vehicles and environmental factors. This study uses descriptive statistics analysis and logistics analysis with SPSS 12.0 software. The major results of this study are as follows. First, red light violations occurred at rural and CBD more than suburban area. Second, About 81.1% of the violators were traveling at or below the posted speed limit. Moreover, 77.3% of the violations occurred within 2 seconds after the on set of red light. Finally, the logistic regression model, which is statistically significant(chisquare=0.000, McFadde=0.265)was developed, and includes the local type(CBD/suburban/rural), violators' gender, season, vehicle type, time of day, vehicle speed as the independent variables. In this study did not find significant relationship between red light violators' age and their driving behavior approaching signalized intersections.

  • There are variety of reasons for renewable energy curtailment, including lack of transmission availability and grid system stability. In the Jeju island region, there are many cases in which the supply of electricity is already increased compared to the demand for electricity due to the increase of solar and wind power generation facilities, and accordingly, the number of curtailments for wind power generation is increasing. This research aims to find the direction of efficient reception of renewable energy and stable operation of the power system using HVDC(High Voltage Direct Current) and BESS(Battery Energy Storage System) facilities that are in charge of power supply in Jeju island. And the paper suggests a practical operation plan for optimal system operation, and the direction of system operation of the land power system due to the expansion of solar and wind power generation facilities in the future.

A Study on the Development of the Engine Room Fan Control System and ERFCS Algorithm for Ships Energy Saving (선박 에너지 절감을 위한 기관실 팬 제어 시스템 구축 및 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, there have been many studies pertaining to reducing energy consumption on ships. As part of those studies, the energy consumption of ships can be reduced by understanding and controlling the varying loads, excluding fixed loads. In existing ships, engine room fans are usually operated based on the actual experience of the crew without any special guidelines. To realize energy reduction, we investigate the characteristics of engine-room fans, and we propose an energy-management system called the engine room fan control system (ERFCS) and the ERFCS algorithm. The ERFCS controls the fan speed depending on the temperature and pressure, where one to four fans are operated depending on changes in the load. In addition, the minimum rotation speed of the engine-room fan was limited to 50% to prevent the surging phenomenon, which is due to fan damage or low pressure resulting from mechanical friction or heating at low fan speeds. We develop a fan control system simulation model using LabVIEW that is based on the proposed algorithm and ISO 8861. Finally, we perform simulations to confirm that operation of the proposed fan control system is possible using only 46.4% of the power required by the existing method.

  • The heat generated at the motor and inverter inside the electric compressor of inverter built-in type is mainly cooled by refrigerant and generally, there is not a thermal problem. However, the close relation of heat transfer from the motor and inverter parts to the compression part affects on compressor efficiency. Also, according to the surrounding environment and system operation condition, the increased temperature of the motor and inverter can affect the power density of the motor system, and especially, the inverter may be prevented to operate by the temperature limits. In this study, we performed thermo-flow analysis of electric compressor motor system, and investigated the heat dissipation enhancement of the motor and inverter. The motor part in the operation region of the electric compressor was generally maintained at low temperature and the inverter part at high compressor speed was lower temperature than the temperature limit of $85^{\circ}C$. However, the case of the inverter at low speed harsh condition was in excess of $10^{\circ}C$. Therefore, in order to solve the thermal problem, the heat reduction technology of the motor and inverter is essential as well as the improvement of flow path in the compressor.

Identifying Risk Management Locations for Synthetic Natural Gas Plant Using Pipe Stress Analysis and Finite Element Analysis (배관응력해석 및 유한요소해석에 의한 SNG플랜트의 리스크 관리 위치 선정)

  • While they are becoming more viable, synthetic natural gas (SNG) plants, with their high temperatures and pressures, are still heavily dependent on advancements in the state-of-the-art technologies. However, most of the current work in the literature is focused on optimizing chemical processes and process variables, with little work being done on relevant mechanical damage and maintenance engineering. In this study, a combination of pipe system stress analysis and detailed local stress analysis was implemented to prioritize the inspection locations for main pipes of SNG plant in accordance to ASME B31.3. A pipe system stress analysis was conducted for pre-selecting critical locations by considering design condition and actual operating conditions such as heat-up and cool-down. Identified critical locations were further analyzed using a finite element method to locate specific high-stress points. Resultant stress values met ASME B31.3 code standards for the gasification reactor and lower transition piece (bend Y in Fig.1); however, it is recommended that the vertical displacement of bend Y be restricted more. The results presented here provide valuable information for future risk based maintenance inspection and further safe operation considerations.

  • 영광 3/4호기 mid-loop 운전중 잔열제거(RHR) 기능 상실사고시 열수력적 현상을 최적 전산코드인 CATHARE2를 이용하여 해석하였다. 이러한 사고시 열수력적 현상은 일,이차측 냉각재 방출유로와 계통내 비응축성 가스의 거동에 의해 크게 영향을 받는다. 본 연구에서는 2개의 경우를 모의하였는데, 하나는 계통내 방출유로가 있는 경우이며 다른 하나는 방출유로가 없는 경우를 계산하였다. 이 때 사용된 가정은 다음과 같다. (가) 계통은 부분충수 운전 상태로 상부에 비응축성 가스나 증기로 가득 차 있다. (나) 증기발생기는 1대만이 이용 가능하고 이차측은 습식보관 상태이며, 보조급수는 공급되지 않고 이차측 압력은 대기압 상태이다 (다) 사고는 원자로 정지후 2일후 발생한다. 이와같은 조건하에서 사고시 계통 최대압력은 방출유로가 있는 경우 사고후 6,000 초에 0.27 MPa이며, 방출유로를 통한 유량은 총 2.4 kg/s이다. 이 방출유량을 외삽하여 계통수위가 고온관 바닦까지 도달하는데 걸린 시간은 사고후 약 5.67시간이다. 증기발생기 U-튜브를 통한 열전달에 의해 이차측 증기 발생으로 이차측 수위가 하락하면 증기발생기 reflux cooling은 제한을 받을 수 있다. 이 경우 이차측 수위가 U-튜브의 active 영역 상부까지 도달하는데 걸리는 시간은 사고후 약 10시간으로 계산되었다. 그러므로 이 경우 보조급수 공급 여유시간보다 노심 노출시간이 더 빨리 도달하여 노심을 손상시킨다. 사고시 수위지시계는 계통감압에 큰 영향을 주지 못하기 때문에 가능한 빨리 닫아 계통 inventory를 유지하는 것이 이차측 보조급수공급보다 우선한다.합한 설계방안으로 분석되었다.크다는 단점이 있다.TEX>$_2$O$_3$ 흡착제 제조시 TiO$_2$ 함량에 따른 Co$^{2+}$ 흡착량과 25$0^{\circ}C$의 고온에서 ZrO$_2$$Al_2$O$_3$의 표면에 생성된 코발트 화합물을 XPS와 EPMA로 부터 확인하였다.인을 명시적으로 설명할 수 있다. 둘째, 오류의 시발점을 정확히 포착하여 동기가 분명한 수정대책을 강구할 수 있다. 셋째, 음운 과 정의 분석 모델은 새로운 언어 학습시에 관련된 언어 상호간의 구조적 마찰을 설명해 줄 수 있다. 넷째, 불규칙적이며 종잡기 힘들고 단편적인 것으로만 보이던 중간언어도 일정한 체계 속에서 변화한다는 사실을 알 수 있다. 다섯째, 종전의 오류 분석에서는 지나치게 모국어의 영향만 강조하고 다른 요인들에 대해서는 다분히 추상적인 언급으로 끝났지만 이 분석을 통 해서 배경어, 목표어, 특히 중간규칙의 역할이 괄목할 만한 것임을 가시적으로 관찰할 수 있 다. 이와 같은 오류분석 방법은 학습자의 모국어 및 관련 외국어의 음운규칙만 알면 어느 학습대상 외국어에라도 적용할 수 있는 보편성을 지니는 것으로 사료된다.없다. 그렇다면 겹의문사를 [-wh]의리를 지 닌 의문사의 병렬로 분석할 수 없다. 예를 들어 누구누구를 [주구-이-ν가] [누구누구-이- ν가]로부터 생성되었다고 볼 수 없다. 그러므로 [-wh] 겹의문사는 복수 의미를 지닐 수 없 다. 그러면 단수 의미는 어떻게 생성되는가\

Atmospheric Dispersion Assessment for Potential Accidental Releases at Yonggwang Nuclear Power Plants (영광원전에서 가상 사고시 대기확산 평가)

  • XOQ_DW code is currently used to assess the atmospheric dispersion fur the routine releases of radioactive gaseous effluents at Yonggwang nuclear power plants. This code was developed based on XOQDOQ code and an additional code is required to assess the atmospheric dispersion for potential accidental releases. In order to assess the atmospheric dispersion fer the accidental releases, XOQAR code has been developed by using PAVAN code that is based on Reg. Guide 1.145. The terrain data of XOQ_DW code inputs and the relative concentrations (X/Q) of XOQ_DW code outputs are used as the inputs of the XOQAR code through the interface with XOQ_DW code. By using this code, the maximum values of X/Q at exclusion area and low population zone boundaries except for sea areas were assessed as $1.33{\times}10^{-4}$ and $7.66{\times}10^{-6}$ sec/$m^3$, respectively. Through the development of this code, a rode system is prepared for assessing the atmospheric dispersion for the accidental releases as well as the routine releases. This developed code ran be used for other domestic nuclear power plants by modifying the terrain input data.

Dust Removal Efficiency and Operation Characteristics of Metal Filters for Coal Gasification Fines and Standard Dust Sample (금속필터를 사용한 석탄가스화 분진 및 표준 분진의 집진 효율과 운전특성)

  • Demand for improving dust removal efficiency in coal power plants and the dust removal requirement to the level of capturing fine particulate matter and ultrafine particles have been increasing. While bag filter and electrostatic precipitator (ESP) are typically used for dust removal in the processes operating at atmospheric pressure, metal filters or ceramic filters are employed for dust which is produced at high temperature/pressure system as in coal gasification. For dust removal at the high temperature/pressure conditions, two metal filters of five compressed/sintered layers were manufactured and applied to analyze the dust removal characteristics. Manufactured metal filters exhibited more than 99% dust removal efficiency on coal gasification fine particulates in mass basis. To evaluate the fine particulate removal efficiency of less than $2.5{\mu}m$, JIS standard fine sample was used and confirmed the removal efficiencies of 97% and 70~82% on the fine particulates of $1{\sim}2.5{\mu}m$ size range. For the size range of less than $1{\mu}m$, dust removal efficiency of manufactured metal filters significantly degraded with smaller particle size. Improving methods are proposed to overcome the limitations in applying to fine dust of less than $1{\mu}m$.

원격감시시스템을 이용한 증류공정의 안전운전

  • 최근의 통계에 따르면 국내의 인터넷 인용율은 2000년도에 44.7%, 2001년도에 56.6%, 2002년도에는 55.2%로 아이슬랜드(60.8%), 스웨덴(57.3%)에 이어 세계에서 세번째로 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 인구 100명당 PC보급율 또한 미국(62.5대), 덴마크(57.68대)에 이어 한국(55.58대)이 세계3위를 기록해 명실상부한 정보화 선진국임이 입증되고 있다. 따라서 잘 발달된 infrastructure을 이용하는 기술개발은 초고속정보이용을 가능케하고 있다. 근래에 들어 인터넷을 기반으로 기본적인 활용인 문자, 음성 및 영상 전송 등의 데이터 전송뿐만 아니라, 근래에는 인터넷을 통한 remote control 및 monitoring system에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 기존의 증류공정은 DCS(Dispersion Control System)로써 공정상태(온도, 압력, 유량, 레벨, 순도등)를 Control room까지 선로를 통하여 신호전달이 이루어지고 있다. 따라서, 제한된 지역에서만 I/O(Input/output)이 이루어지고 있다. 이로 인해 안전감시시스템의 효율성이 떨어지고 있는 게 사실이다. 본 연구에서는 PC기반의 프로그램을 바탕으로 인터넷을 이용한 remote control 및 monitoring system을 개발함으로써 close Network에서 Open Network으로 발전시켰다. 여기서 local plant의 안전시스템 알고리즘은 그대로 Server system에 도입하였으며 사용자의 실정에 맞게 손쉽게 설정을 할 수 있도록 확장성을 높였다. 이는 PC기반의 시스템을 구축함으로써 가능하게 된 것이다. 또한, 웹 상에서의 무차별적 접근으로부터 보호하기 위하여 감시 대상의 성질에 따라 프로그램상에서 차별적 접근형식을 택할 수 있으며, control room의 indicator들과 controller를 프로그램상에 그대로 이식시킴으로써 감시자에게 충분한 정보제공 및 원격제어가 가능하도록 하고있다.
