Study on Concept Design of Supersonic Inlet and Flow Control of Bleeding under Operating Condition (초음속 흡입구 개념 설계와 운영조건 내의 블리딩(bleeding) 유동제어 연구)

  • The present paper deals with concept design of supersonic inlet based on compressible flow theory and flow control of bleeding in order to guarantee stability of supersonic inlet of ramjet engine in broad range of operating conditions. Shock instability, shock wave-boundary layer interaction and flow separation should be properly controlled to improve performance of the supersonic inlet. Considering shock strength, boundary layer and flow separation, the supersonic inlet is modified from the basic model which is designed under inviscid theory. Consequently, shock is stabilized, and required mass flow rate is obtained. Furthermore, bleeding is applied to the supersonic inlet to maintain performance in off-design conditions. Mass flow condition is adopted for modeling of bleeding effect, and performance of the supersonic inlet is evaluated by changing bleeding locations and numbers.

Complement of the Interlocking Logic of ATS for Heterogenous Railway Signaling Systems (이종 철도신호시스템을 위한 기존 자동열차정지 연동로직의 보완)

  • The railway signaling system has evolved to maximize its safety and maintainability based on the experiences in the construction and operation of railway systems. The newly developed systems was established to cope with the changes in an operating environment. In the process of a transition to the new system, both the existing ATS (Automatic Train Stop) and new ATP/ATO (Automatic Train Protection/Automatic Train Operation) systems are operating simultaneously in parallel. In this situation, modifications of the conditions of the interlocking diagram and logic are necessarily required on the existing ATS systems due to the frequent improvements in signaling equipment. This paper reports the enhancement of safety and operational efficiency of the system through an improvement of the security and the interlocking conditions of the existing ATS systems. The independent display of signals for each track was ensured to avoid giving the effect of On/Off signals for the selected track on the opposite side, and the security was improved by adjusting the position and interlocking conditions. In addition, the increased traffic density of railway systems was achieved by removing the unnecessary conditions and detailed signal display, which resulted in enhanced operational efficiency.

Paddy Rice Growth Yield as Affedted by Incorporation of Green Barley and Chinese Milkvetch (자운영 및 보리 재배 혼입처리에 따른 벼의 생육과 수량)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of the application of green manure in the form of either green barley and Chinese milkvetch in reducing the amounts of N fertilizers and conventional fertilizers needed for paddy rice. Prior to rice transplanting, the green barley and Chinese milkvetch as a green manure produced respectively $668kg\;10a^{-1}$ and 3,492kg\;$10a^{-1}$ in fresh shoot weight basis. Calculated nitrogen content from harvested green manures was 3.9 and $17.8kg\;10a^{-1}$, respectively. Plant height and tiller number of rice increased when two kinds of green manure incorporated into soil. Above mentioned parameters also increased with increasing amounts of N fertilizers at both ear formation and heading stage of rice. Rice grain number was not affected by green manures treatment but increased when N fertilizers were applied. Although rice panicle and grain number increased with green manure treatments and fertilizer applications, whereas the percentage of ripened grain decreased. Chinese milkvetch with additional N fertilizer applications increased brown rice yield from 1 to 5% compared to rice yields in plots where non-green manure with the conventional amount of fertilizer application was applied. Rice treated with Chinese milkvetch and 30% of the conventional N fertilizer rate yielded the same as rice fertilized conventionally. During the rice growing season, $NH_4-N$ content of paddy soil was higher in green manures treatment than non-green manure one. Average $NH_4-N$ content in paddy soil drastically decreased after heading stage below $5.7mg\;kg^{-1}$ in non-green manure treated plots. While on the other, $NH_4-N$ content in soil slowly decreased in plots those were treated with green manures at harvesting stage, average $NH_4-N$ content was still greater than $5.5mg\;kg^{-1}$. Nitrogen content of rice shoot and brown rice seed was higher in green manure treatment.

  • This study examines the relationship between the operational turnaround time and the rolling stock requirements. In this study, the operational turnaround time of rolling stock is divided into physical turnback time and waiting time. This paper presents a variety of models and estimation results of the existing studies on operational turnaround time. The proposed estimation model of the operational turnaround time in this study is designed to minimize the operational turnaround time in terminus stations, while the rolling stock requirement is reduced. The developed estimation model was applied in a real-world example, and it was found that the operational turnaround time and the required rolling stocks were lessened compared with the current condition. The method presented in this paper is expected to be utilized in train operational planning and rolling stock routing plans, thereby minimizing the rolling stock requirements of existing railway operating authorities.

  • This study presents practical approach devices that examines introduction conditions and operation procedures about yeonbongje as new system of wage management and analyzes the problems and complementary clauses on introducing and operating yeonbongje pay system. Yeonbongje is pay system taking a serious view of performance that decides total annual wages by contract and evaluates performance and contribution of individual employees. Appraisal is the basic to execute yeonbongje. Employees have to accept appraisal result because it is reflected in annual wage. To introduce and operate successfully, yeonbongje needs conditions as follows; First, system is desirable that regulates the basis matters and solve problems in operating actually. Second, it is desirable to ensure objectivity and acceptance of appraisal. Third. it is difficult to evaluate for appraisal. Fourth. it is effective to furnish computer system. Fifth, it is successive to increase the weight of competency based wage in the long time.

  • Development of an optimal water supply system considering water quantity, quality, and economical efficiency is needed to decide optimal available area by combine water supply systems in overlapped area where are more than 2 water sources. The EPAnet and the KModSim were coupled to develop optimal network model. The developed network model was calibrated by measured data from water supply system in Geoje City, Korea in 2007 which have three water sources such as Sadeong booster pumping station, Guchun dam reservoir and Yoncho dam reservoir. The optimum network model was validated by operating results of 2011 to assess the economically optimized service area and optimal pump combination under the given hydraulic operating rules developed in this study. The developed model can be applied into designing water supply systems and operating rules for the conjunctive operation since the model can give the optimal solution satisfied with water quantity, economical efficiency and quality.

  • 최근 상수관망 시스템에 ICT 기술을 접목하여 수돗물 공급에 대한 신뢰도를 향상시키기 위한 노력이 증가하고 있다. 특히, 관 내 수질이 일정 기준 미달인 경우 실시간 수질 감지를 통해 이상수질을 자동으로 배출하는 자동드레인 시스템이 수질사고 예방 및 대응 방안으로 주목받고 있다. 현재 자동드레인 시설은 관로 말단에서의 잔류염소 유지를 위한 목적으로 주로 사용되고 있고, 도시지역 내 수질사고에 대비한 설치, 운영사례는 부족한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 인천시 Z지역 내 자동드레인의 운영에 따른 상수관망의 수리적 특성을 분석하였다. EPANET 프로그램을 사용하여 배수지에서 수질오염이 발생한 조건을 가정하였고 배수지의 공급량에 따라 2가지 모의조건으로 나누었다. 첫 번째 모의조건은 배수지의 공급량을 일정하게 유지시킨 상태로 자동드레인의 배출량을 증가시키는 것이었고, 두 번째 모의조건은 급수구역의 공급량을 일정하게 유지시킨 상태로 자동드레인의 배출량을 증가시키는 것이었다. 각 조건별로 자동드레인의 배출량을 증가(배수지의 10%~90%)시키면서 관망 전체의 수리적 변화(압력, 에너지)를 비교·분석하였다. 첫 번째 모의조건에서는 자동드레인 배출량이 증가할수록 모든 절점에서 압력이 증가하였고 수두가 낮은 절점일수록 압력 변화가 커지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 인천 Z지역에서는 60% 이상 배출 시 에너지가 거의 증가하지 않고 일정한 값으로 수렴하는 경향을 보였다. 두 번째 모의조건에서는 자동드레인의 배출량이 증가할수록 압력이 모든 절점에서 동일하게 감소하였으며 에너지는 일정하게 증가하였다. 본 연구 결과는 상수관망 내 수질관리 시스템 구축 시 기초자료로 활용될 수 있으며 스마트 물 관리에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

  • 멀티미디어 응용은 시간 제약 조건을 가지며, 이를 만족시키는 실시간 스케줄러는 멀티미디어를 지원하는 운영체제의 필수적인 요소이다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 실시간 스케줄링 기법은 시간 제약 조건의 명세를 이용하여 멀티미디어 응용들의 수행시간과 지연 시간 변동폭의 상한을 보장한다. 응용은 그 주기와 수행시간을 명세하며, 스케줄러는 수행률에 기반하여 응용들을 스케쥴한다. 또한 본 논문에서는 제안된 스케줄링 기법을 RT-MACH[6] 운영체제 상에서 구현하여 실제로 수행시간과 지연시간 변동폭의 상한이 보장됨을 보인다.
