Development & Test of A Small-Sized Autonomous Underwater Vehicle "BOTO" (소형 자율무인잠수정 "BOTO"의 개발 및 실험)

  • Samsung Thales has developed a small-sized autonomous underwater vehicle "BOTO" verified by a mathematical model simulation. The hydrodynamic coefficients and drag force were experimented at circulating water channel for validating cruising performance of the AUV. Based on the mathematical model, we simulated turning radius and way-point tracking on horizontal plane using way-point tracking algorithm. In this paper we introduce the vehicle system and the sea trial test results will be shown.

  • This paper represents a method for designing of path following Line-of-Sight(LOS) guidance law based on vehicle kinematics. In general, a LOS guidance law which is composed of gains and approach length as design parameters is designed by empirical or trial-and-error method. These approaches cannot guarantee a precision tracking performance of guidance law consistently. Also, the design parameters should be redesigned with variations of vehicle maneuverability and flight velocity. Based on a vehicle kinematics with its velocity, the proposed method for designing of parameters not only minimizes the number of design parameters, also has a reliable and consistent tracking performance using variable guidance gain changed in accordance with flight velocity. This is validated by nonlinear simulation with $1^{st}$ order attitude response dynamics and flight experiments with given linear and circular path.

  • 구형무인비행체는 다중 모터를 이용한 무인항공기에 비행 소형화, 경량화, 경제화 등의 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 구형무인비행체의 경로 추종을 위한 제어기 설계 및 성능에 대한 내용을 다루고 있다. 먼저 구형무인비행체의 운동방정식이 제어기 설계를 위해 유도되었고, 유도된 운동방정식을 이용해 경로 추종 제어기를 설계하였다. 구형무인비행체의 자세제어는 무게중심을 변화하는 방법을 사용하였다. 요구 경로를 설정하여 설계된 제어기의 경로 추종 성능을 MATLAB 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 제시된 제어기가 설정된 경로를 추종하고 있음을 확인하였다.

Fuzzy Nonlinear Adaptive Control of Overhead Cranes for Anti-Sway Trajectory Tracking and High-Speed Hoisting Motion (고속 권상운동과 흔들림억제 궤적추종을 위한 천정주행 크레인의 퍼지 비선형 적응제어)

  • Nonlinear adaptive control of overhead cranes is investigated for anti-sway trajectory tracking with high-speed hoisting motion. The sway dynamics of two dimensional underactuated overhead cranes is heavily coupled with the trolley acceleration, hoisting rope length, and the hoisting velocity which is an obstacle in the design of decoupling control based anti-sway trajectory tracking control law To cope with this obstacle. we propose a fuzzy nonlinear adaptive anti-sway trajectory tracking control law guaranteeing the uniform ultimate boundedness of the sway dynamics even in the presence of uncertainties in such a way that it cancels the effect of the trolley acceleration and hoisting velocity on the sway dynamics. In particular. system uncertainties, including system parameter uncertainty unmodelled dynamics, and external disturbances, are compensated in an adaptive manner by utilizing fuzzy uncertainty observers. Accordingly, the ultimate bound of the tracking errors and the sway angle decrease to zero when the fuzzy approximation errors decrease to zero. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

  • Contrast to the 6-DOF nonlinear dynamic modeling of nonlinear tracking problem, 3-DOF point-mass modeling of flight mechanics is efficient and adequate for applying the trajectory optimization problem. There exist limitations to apply an optimal trajectory from point-mass modeling as a reference trajectory directly to conduct the nonlinear tracking control, In this paper, new matching trajectory optimization scheme is proposed to compensate those differences of mismatching. To verify performance of proposed method, full ascent three-dimensional flight trajectories are obtained by reflecting the real constraints of flight conditions and airship performance with and without jet stream condition. Then, they are compared with the optimal trajectories obtained from conventional method.

  • 본 연구는 Labview Simulation Interface Toolkit과 Matlab/Simulink를 조합한 제어 시스템을 매우 짧은 차간 간격을 요구하고, 차량 간의 충돌을 피하기 위해서 매우 정확한 속도제어를 필요로 하는 개인 고속 이동 시스템에 응용하는 것에 대해서 다룬다. 간단한 차량의 운동방정식을 유도하기 위해서 선형모터를 도입한다. 후미 차량에 의해서 추종되어 져야하는 속도 프로파일은 두 차량(선행차량과 후미차량) 간의 상태정보를 기초로 해서 생성된다. 속도 프로파일 추종을 위한 제어 시스템은 Matlab/Simulink 에 의해서 설계된다. 모의시험 결과는 제안된 제어 시스템이 속도 추종 특성을 평가하는데 효과적임을 보인다.

Convergent Analysis of Old People Eye Movement Training on Change of Cognitive Ability (안구 운동이 노인의 인지능력 변화에 미치는 융합적 분석)

  • The objective of the present study was to investigate the effect of eye movement on cognitive ability using Mini-Mental State Examination for Dementia Screening (MMSE-DS) and the amplitude and latency of P300 from event-related potentials after 55 elderly participants were randomly stratified into the saccadic eye movement (SEM) group and the smooth pursuit eye movement (SPEM) group, and performed eye movement for 4 weeks. As a result, P300 amplitude significantly increased and P300 latency significantly shortened in the SEM and SPEM groups. MMSE-DS showed a significant increase in both groups; upon comparing the groups, the SEM group showed a significant difference in orientation and the SPEM group in attention. In conclusion, it is thought that SEM and SPEM can improve and maintain the cognitive ability of the elderly and may be used as therapeutic tools for dementia prevention and mild dementia.

Trajectory Tracking Control for A Wheeled Mobile Robot (모바일 로봇의 경로 추종 제어)

  • This paper presents the trajectory tracking control for mobile robot. The designed controller consists of kinematic and dynamic controller. Kinematic controller has two gains and it reduces the trial time for gain setting as compared convectional controller with three gains. Dynamic controller includes the compensation of friction and disturbance. It can improve the performance of the trajectory tracking under the various environment. Simulation results shows that the proposed controller has a stable performance.
