  • 최근 우리 나라도 자동차의 수요가 급격히 늘어나고 있고, 생산량도 급증하 고 있어 자동차 공업이 산업의 최고의 위치를 확보하게 되었다. 자동차는 최 신 종합 기계 구조물로서 전기, 전자, 제어에 이르기까지 거의 모든 분양의 학문적 이론과 기술을 도입하는 최첨단의 기계 장비인것이다. 따라서 그 부 가가치 또한 매우 큰 것이다. 자동차의 성능을 결정짓는 가장 커다란 요소는 주행 성능과 안정성 및 조종성이다. 주행성능이라 함은 자동차의 종방향 운 동에 관한 성능으로서 기관의 동력에 지배적인 영향을 받는 성능(동력 성능) 과 그 밖의 성능(타향 성능, 제동 성능)으로 구분된다. 또 안정성과 조종성이 라함은 자동차의 횡방향 운동에 관한 성능으로서 로울링과 요우잉을 포함시 킨 곡선 운동에 관한 성능을 일컫는다. 이러한 운동 성능을 좌우하는 것은 구조적인 설계의 양부와 스프링이나 댐퍼의 성능일 것이다. 자동차의 수많은 부품 중의 다수가 국산화 되어 있지 아니하고, 또한 이러한 부품들의 성능을 시험할 수 있는 장비의 수입 의존도가 높은 것은 업계나 학계 등에서 앞으 로 많은 연구가 이루어져야 할 점이다. 자동차의 충격 흡수기(shock absorber)의 검사기도 또한 수입 시험기에 의존하고 있었던 것이 현실이었 다. 이에 본 연구진은 이 검사기의 국산화에 착수 한 것이다. 자동차에 있어 서 충격 흡수기는 지면에서 오는 충격을 급속히 흡수하는 역할을 하여 자동 차의 주행 성능과 안정성을 높혀 주며, 승차감을 높혀 주는 중요한 부품이 다. 따라서 충격 흡수기의 양부의 판정은 대단히 중요한 것이다. 본 연구에 서는 충격 흡수기의 충격 흡수력(감쇠력)을 측정하여 감쇠 특성을 정도 높게 파악할 수 있는 시험기를 만드는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 연구는 시험기의 구동부를 제작하는 기계부와, 제어 및 계측의 하드웨어를 담당하는 전기.전 자부및 실제로 기계를 구동, 제어하고 측정 결과를 기록하고 출력하는 부분 을 담당하는 소프트웨어 개발부로 나누어서 진행하였다.

Stereoscopic Conversion based on Key Frames (키 프레임 기반 스테레오스코픽 변환 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a new method of converting 2D video into 3D stereoscopic video, called stereoscopic conversion. In general, stereoscopic images are produced using the motion informations. However unreliable motion informations obtained especially from block-based motion estimation cause the wrong generation of stereoscopic images. To solve for this problem, we propose a stereoscopic conversion method based upon the utilization of key frame that has the better accuracy of estimated motion informations. As well, as generation scheme of stereoscopic images associated with the motion type of each key frame is proposed. For the performance evaluation of our proposed method, we apply it to five test images and measure the accuracy of key frame-based stereoscopic conversion. Experimental results show that our proposed method has the accuracy more than about 90 percent in terms of the detection ratio of key frames.

Motion Analysis of Light Buoys Combined with 7 Nautical Mile Self-Contained Lantern (7마일 등명기를 결합한 경량화 등부표의 운동 해석)

  • Because large buoys are mainly made of steel, they are heavy and vulnerable to corrosion by sea water. This makes buoy installation and maintenance difficult. Moreover, vessel collision accidents with buoys and damage to vessels due to the material of buoys (e.g., steel) are reported every year. Recently, light buoys adopting eco-friendly and lightweight materials have come into the spotlight in order to solve the previously-mentioned problems. In Korea, a new lightweight buoy with a 7-Nautical Mile lantern adopting expanded polypropylene (EPP) and aluminum to create a buoyant body and tower structure, respectively, was developed in 2017. When these light buoys are operated in the ocean, the visibility and angle of light from the lantern installed on the light buoys changes, which may cause them to function improperly. Therefore, research on the performance of light buoys is needed since the weight distribution and motion characteristics of these new buoys differ from conventional models. In this study, stability estimation and motion analyses for newly-developed buoys under various environmental conditions considering a mooring line were carried out using ANSYS AQWA. Numerical simulations for the estimation of wind and current loads were performed using commercial CFD software, Siemens STAR-CCM+, to increase the accuracy of motion analysis. By comparing the estimated maximum significant motions of the light buoys, it was found that waves and currents were more influential in the motion of the buoys. And, the estimated motions of the buoys became larger as the sea state became worser, which might be the reason that the peak frequencies of the wave spectra got closer to those of the buoys.

  • In the paper, we propose a method for developing a physical training management module which sends physical data to smart devices using an wireless module attached to physical appliances. In the proposed stick-type physical appliance, the physical amount of data measured from sensors inside the appliance is sent to a smart device via wireless communication. And then the smart device records the physical amount of data categorized in person-based data and shows useful information about the user's physical training on the dedicated display. For the performance evaluation, indoor environment and electro magnetic wave tests are taken from national specialized organizations, and their results was very efficient. The proposed physical training management module is highly extensible since it is easily applicable to other physical appliances and useful to both Android and iOS platforms.

An Experimental Study on Dynamic Performance of Large Floating Wave-Offshore Hybrid Power Generation Platform in Extreme Conditions (대형 부유식 파력-해상풍력 복합발전 구조물의 극한환경 운동 성능에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • The present study experimentally considers dynamic performance of large floating wave-offshore hybrid power generation platform in extreme conditions. In order to evaluate the motion performance of the large floating hybrid power generation platform, 1/50 scaled model was manufactured. A mooring line was also manufactured, and free-decay and static pull-out tests were carried out to check the mooring model. A mooring line table was introduced to satisfy the water depth, and environmental conditions were checked. Motion responses in regular waves were measured and complicated environmental conditions including wave, wind, and current were applied to see the dynamic performance in extreme/survival conditions. Maximum motion and acceleration were judged following the design criteria, and maximum offset and mooring tension were also checked based on the rule. The characteristics of hybrid power generation platform are discussed based on these data.

  • In this study, a performance evaluation was carried out to develop a new add-on device with an algorithm for automatically measuring the exercise weight and repetitions when using an existing fitness machine. The developed device was designed to be simply attached to an exercise machine to measure the exercise weight and repetitions. The measured data are transferred to a smartphone using Bluetooth. As result, it is possible to detect the weights and repetitions from three users with different exercise habits with little error. The system can measure the user's motion and transfer the data to various devices capable of utilizing the workout data, giving it the advantage of being applicable to personalized health care and rehabilitation therapy.

  • 선박의 항행안전의 문제가 중요시됨에 따라 선박조종시뮬레이터에 의한 안전성 검토의 필요성이 크게 인식되고 있다. 또한 조종성능을 향상시킬 목적으로 다양한 선종이 출현하고 있고, 이에 따라 선박조종시뮬레이터의 개발에 있어서 선박의 데이터베이스는 필수적이라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 선종에 따른 수학모델을 각각 선박조종시뮬레이터에 적용시킴으로써 다양성이라는 가상현실의 잇점을 한층 부각시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 우수한 추진성능을 목적으로 한 2축2타선박을 대상으로 조종운동 수학모델을 정식화하였다. 구체적으로 항만내에서의 저속시 조종운동을 구현할 수 있는 수학모델에 대해서 검토하였으며, 선체·프로펠러·타의 상호간섭에 대해서도 고려하였다. 또한, 수치시뮬레이션을 수행함으로써 2축2타선박의 기본적인 조종성능을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • We propose a real-time stereoscopic image conversion method that can generate stereoscopic image with different perspective depth using motion parallax from 2-D image and offer realistic 3-D effect regardless of the direction and velocity of the moving object in the 2-D image. The stereoscopic image is generated by computing the motion parallax between adjacent two 2-D images using the proposed method for motion detection, region segmentation and depth map generation. The proposed method is suitable for real-time stereoscopic conversion processing on various image formats. It has been verified the proposed method by comparing between the stereoscopic image of the proposed method and that of MTD.

  • In spite of many efforts, in the design of high speed fishing vessel the sea-keeping performance improvement without neglection of resistance-propulsion performance by hull form itself has its limitations. In this paper, the development of sea-keeping improving appendage pitching and trim improver for high speed planing hull on behalf of the hull form of fishing vessel has been introduced. The developed appendage verified its effectiveness in the full scale test and also has been proved the better resistance performance in the model test and full scale test.
