Evaluating periodicals using CD-ROM database (CD-ROM DB를 이용한 정기간행물 평가 - CC:LS의 SDI 검색결과와 BCI/BBCI의 인용문헌을 중심으로)

  • CD-ROM을 이용하여 전문도서관의 정기간행물을 평가할 목적으로 Current Contents : Life Science의 44개 SDI 검색결과와 Biotechnology 및 Biochemistry & Biophysics Citation Index 에서 생명공학연구소 논문 151편의 참고문헌을 대상으로 자관 소장자료와 비소장자료로 구분하여 순위표를 만들었다. 이 순위표를 가지고 정기간행물의 자관 소장확률, 예산 증감시 정기간행물의 신규구독 및 구독중단 우선순위, 두 CD-ROM의 공통 소장/비소장 정기간행물을 조사하였다. 연구결과 생명공학연구소에 유용한 생산적인 비소장 정기간행물과 비생산적인 소장 정기간행물을 식별할 수 있었다. 이 자료는 예산 증감시 정기간행물 구입정책에 반영하면 새로운 장서구성 정책의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

  • 메타 검색 엔진은 여러 검색 엔진의 결과를 통합해 한 화면에 보여주기 때문에 사용자가 한번에 많은 검색 엔진을 사용하는 효과를 준다. 메타 검색에서 사용하고 있는 부리언 질의는 다른 검색 엔진의 연산자를 모두 수용할 수 없기 때문에 고유의 연산자를 정의하여 사용하고 있다. 이때, 메타 검색에서 사용하는 연산자가 검색 엔진에서 제공되지 않으면 사용자 입력 질의를 정화하게 검색 엔진으로 전달하지 못하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 각 검색 엔진의 연산자를 조사 및 분석하여 검색 엔진 대표 연산자를 추출하고, 연산자에 우선 순위를 두어 검색 엔진에서 제공하는 연산자로 질의를 재구성하는 방법을 이용함으로서 이러한 문제를 해결하였고, 메타 검색을 위한 새로운 질의 변환 전략을 제시한다. 그리고, 연산자 매핑 테이블과 URL 매핑 테이블을 이용한 메타 검색의 질의 처리 구조를 설계한다. 이것은 메타 검색으로 입력된 사용자 질의를 정확하게 검색 엔진으로 전달하여 사용자가 원하는 정보를 제공함으로서 사용자가 신뢰도를 향상시키게 된다.

  • A software development using components reuse is an useful method to reduce the software development cost. But a retrieval method by the keyword and category classifications is difficult to search an exact matching component due to components complexity in component reuse. Therefore, after different existing methods are examined and analyzed, an effective classification and retrieval method using XML specifications and the system architecture of components integrated management based on it are presented. Many discording elements of DTD which is component meta-expression exist in components retrieval. To compensate it, this retrieval method using estimations of precision and concision is effective one to catch considerable matching preference components. This method makes possible to retrieve suitable components having better priority due to searching similar matching components that are difficult in an existing keyword matching method.

  • Because existing information retrieval systems, in particular library retrieval systems, use 'exact keyword matching' with user's query, they present user with massive results including irrelevant information. So, a user spends extra effort and time to get the relevant information from the results. Thus, this paper will propose SULRM a Retrieval Model using Subject Classification Table, User profile, and LSI(Latent Semantic Indexing), to provide more relevant results. SULRM uses document filtering technique for classified data and document ranking technique for non-classified data in the results of keyword-based retrieval. Filtering technique uses Subject Classification Table, and ranking technique uses user profile and LSI. And, we have performed experiments on the performance of filtering technique, user profile updating method, and document ranking technique using the results of information retrieval system of our university' digital library system. In case that many documents are retrieved proposed techniques are able to provide user with filtered data and ranked data according to user's subject and preference.

  • Video server which stores video streams should serve more users with the requested streams rapidly, satisfying their time constraints. In this paper, we propose the storage system that does not only maintain fast responses but also increase the number of users supported, with satisfying the time constraints characteristics of the video streams. When the video streams are retrieved in storage system under multiple disks environments, it can not only maintain the rapid responses but also can save the disk bandwidth owing to the retrieval based on priority. Also, it utilizes the given buffer capacity efficiently owing to determining the stream segment size heuristically, which is adapted to the buffer capacity Consequentially, these policies can increase the number of users supported. The correctness of the proposed policies is not only analyzed theoretically but also evaluated through simulations.

  • This paper constructed component retrieval system for reusability of component. Constructed by thesaurus that use inheritance relation of class for component retrieval, and did so that component retrieval that use Queries may be available. Also, the retrieval result did to become faster retrieval about queries as that show by priority. Retrieved components made efficient component reusability to be possible as that support source code, component information, class diagram etc.

  • In this paper, we designed a repository structure for components retrieval. The repository is consisted of data, process, and view for syntax analyzer, retrieval method, viewer, and reuse. We used enhanced spreading activation algorithm for components retrieval and showed the retrieval results. The retrieval result shows the components in order of high priority. Thus components reusability is improved.

  • 본 연구는 유의어 매트릭스를 이용하여 질의의 확장을 통한 컴포넌트 검색 과정을 기술하였다. 컴포넌트 검색은 질의를 입력하면 질의의 확장이 이루어지고 컴포넌트 사이의 신뢰도를 측정하여 검색한다. 신뢰도 계산을 위해서는 질의와 컴포넌트 사이에 유사한가를 나타내는 동치관계, 클래스의 가중치와 동치관계 값을 이용한 포함관계, 그리고 유사도를 계산한다. 끝으로 이들 값을 이용하여 신뢰도를 계산한 후 이 신뢰도 값에 의하여 유사 컴포넌트들을 검색하여 유사도 우선순위로 컴포넌트가 검색된다.
